I really enjoyed this video, I used to watch this channel with my mom before she unexpectedly passed away. This is the first time I’ve watched this channel since she died . You videos really made her and I very happy. Keep up the good work
That's very beautiful. She'll probably still watch them with you. She'll just be in spirit form. Listen and talk to her as if she was there. She will speak through your love for her.
May she rest in peace, I lost someone close to me as well, but doing the things we used to do together really makes me feel like she's here with me in spirit. Just keep in mind that whatever you're doing she's still watching from above, make her proud :)

I watched a documentary about mermaids once that was really interesting. Soon after, I ended up dating a woman who seen a mermaid in the British Columbia museum before it was removed for mysterious reasons. Doing some research of my own, almost all of the ancient civilizations describe mermaids being seen by sailors and hearing VERY similar sounds as whales coming from between the two or three that would pop up. It was cool. There's enough possible evidence that isn't explained any other way to suggest that maybe a form of humanoid does exist In our seas.
My name is Mauriana, said the same way and based off the Mariana Trench and Island. I love listening to information about the trench even though I keep coming to attention everytime my name is said, haha. Thanks for the video!
Totally Awesome vid! Never heard about the sound before, and I figured the trench was created from tectonic movement but you explained it wonderfully. Love listening to your sweet "Hi it's Katrina" to "Bye" voice. You're the best 💕💕💕
The reason why we don't know much about Mariana trench is that 1. it's so deep that you will be crush to death, by the water. It's so heavy that it's like getting crashed by hydraulic press in every part of your body. And 2 is that it's very dark

It's probably the sound of the crust sliding under the other crust it's probably what the noise is cuz that's what's happening that's why the trench is so deep it is literally sinking into the Earth because you go on the opposite side it's where it's getting born it's slowly moving across the floor to eventually the trench where it starts breaking up and sliding under the other crust
"THAT THEY FEEL IS THE MOST LIKELY SOURCE".....made me have faith in "Origins unexplained". You'd be surprised how rarely people say that. Once a scientist has an hypothesis....people tend to report it as factual.
What I want to know is if we cannot even completely explore our own planet, people expect to fly to Mars (which has no breathable atmosphere, btw) and colonize it.
LOL so Americans right. We will measure with everything but the metric system. Katrina perfectly points this out. When she goes “Mount Everest could fit in here, PLUS the whole distance someone would jump out of an airplane from” shit got me rolling. Thank you for the laugh and facts this morning!
Space is easier. It's a vacuum. A vacuum is only 14.7 pounds per square inch less than the pressure at sea level. And it never changes, no matter how far you go.
By far, the most important part of the oceans is the part exposed to sunlight where photosynthesis occurs. Plant life is there. It makes oxygen for our atmosphere and begins the animal life food chain. We have a satisfactory handle on what goes on there. The deep dark ocean, while interesting, is almost impossible to access. Research has a value limit if you can't really study what you find. You can't really scale up for any reason down there. Unlike space.
Your thumb pic graphic is misleading in that it indicates that the Mariana Trench dwarfs the height of Mt. Everest by over double. This is not true. If Everest were placed in the trench it would come to within 1.2 miles of the ocean's surface. Depth of the trench is 36,037 feet, height of Everest is 29,031.7 feet. I know, I am nitpicking, lol.
very interesting, Katrina! there are places on earth that we're very ignorant of. space is cool, but so is our planet. this shows that life could be anywhere in the universe. it can just be different than what we know. life in extreme environments on earth indicates it's pervasiveness. great brain food, Kat! see ya later.
I would love to think that some day we will be able to artificially create the same pressure of the trench and yet somehow lift it similarly to how we kind of can in submarines now. If we could artificially create it, we could bring up species for study or even have special aquariums for them. As cool as it would be to see a healthy blobfish in an aquarium, making artificial pressure to make them easier to study is much more important.

If I were to ever be a billionaire or come into enough money to help fund deep sea exploration, I totally would. We need to know more about this planet we live on.
I have to ask this question regarding the plastic bag and science...you mean to tell me that under pressure of that magnitude, that grocery bag withstood destruction @36K feet? These diving ships require design to counter the pressure at those depths and glass that has thickness to prevent being crushed...If I am missing something, again I gotta ask.
