Saw a documentary for the game where they talked about this scene. Turns out, they completely forgot that people might end up in this scenario, and that there were no scenes talking about it. This was like a month before the game launched, and they went into panic mode for a while as they tried to figure out what to do, and put this together at the last minute.
In the third book blood of eleves when yenefer rescues dandelion she says to him "Thank you for being there with him when nobody else was" thats when i knew how much she loved Geralt
Light1of1hope Yeah, everytime I spoke with Triss it was like speaking to someone that barely cares for you. Her “kindness” just felt way too fucking fake. It was like she was only thinking of Geralt like a toy she was enjoying playing with but It wouldnt matter if that toy was broken.

Ship geralt with yen, they feel like an old couple whom argues alot but you can feel that they loved each other deeply, again the part in tw3 where they were eavesdropping on ciri while she was talking with phillipa and margarita further makes me feel like they were the best couple, say what you want about yen, but i still think yen is the best fit for geralt lol. But people who likes triss more are still entitled to their opinion so... Let's just enjoy the game lol.
I think CDPR did a fantastic job on creating a great piece of irony, by making other characters say Yen treated Geralt like a dog. The best example is what Djikstra said during Triss' rescuing mages from Novigrad mission, when he insists geralt is an idiot to let Triss go b/c Yen will always be manipulative and get involved with kings and politics. In the end, it is Triss who wants to continue a political career, while Yen is the one wanting to retire and spend the rest of her life with Geralt, and everything she's done, no matter how hurtful, was for the good of their daughter Ciri.

This accidentally happened to me on my first playthrough. I agreed to help her but then I didn't play for a long period of time. Upon returning to the game, I wanted to advance the main quest and I completely forgot about Yen. Was shocked when I met her again and she was furious. For a moment, I was so confused because I had completely forgotten about it and I felt so bad 😅 I have to admit that I much preferred Triss over Yenn at the start, but Yen really grew on me. I also thought she was just a cold-hearted b**** but she is actually really caring. I really started to like her while reading the books
This happened to me too. I was so angry because I always refused every other characters... But it was my mistake. But when I realized I would have to go back many hours I just had to leave the game for a few weeks. It would be nice to have some kind of heads up before the quest fails. This is not some kind of unimportant side quest, this is a major romance option after all. And if you have just a few hours to play every now and then the quest can completely evaporate from your mind. And having to go so many hours back when you already dont have much time to play is just annoying as hell.

I heard about This in the behind the scenes that they were extremely embarrassed that they forget to voice act her that so they put together with already existing words for EVERY Language to make this 😂 ( they did it well because it fits pretty good, it was a video about the languages and translations of the Witcher 3)
After reading the books and knowing what has happened to Yen all through her life she's a must-pick on the romance options. She's a loving mother and wife and has found what she wanted in Geralt and Ciri and she's ready to give up so much for them. She endured all of the wrath of Skellige alone just so that Geralt wouldn't get in trouble. Many people with her background would be eternal cynics and would probably never be properly happy nor would they try to make others happy but she shows Ciri the love she never got as a child and is ready to sacrifice everything for her. I just hoped that there would have been an option in Blood and Wine where in the end both Ciri and Yen would be with Geralt, living in Corvo Bianco (atleast for a while before Ciri leaves again) and if maybe once Ciri would've called Yen "mom".
This is one thing I really dislike in the game and which I missed. Ciri never calls Yennfer mother and Yennefer only calls Ciri one time daughter. This feels so wrong and off. Some people assume that this was cut out/not used, caused this would make the "Yennefer romance" more canon for the games and this would not please the Triss Romancer. I have no idea if this is true, but if I feel anger...
3 playthroughs and I never noticed it, btw I noticed something in Blood and Wine DLC there is a inn where if you talk to the innkeeper she says she is from vengerberg and then geralts comments something about yen , it is the inn where one guy invite you to his photographs exhibition when you escort him to take photos I dunno if you know this or not but since you made a video on Yen you get a like and share I already belong to your notification squad! :)
The Witcher 3 is incredible, to be milked for this long and still new things to be found. This game is creeping up on its 5th year, just did my 5th playthrough, and I'm still. Finding. New. Things. Make it stop :( Moral of the story: you dont need heaps of mods to keep games interesting for years after release. Lookin' at you, Skyrim
This game came out in 2015 and it still manages to astound me with how much detail, care and passion the developers put into this game. It's a timeless masterpiece at this point. I have yet to come across a game like it, it's incredible. Thank you for making these videos that somehow make me appreciate the game even more than I already do! I chose triss in my first play through, and it really just didn’t feel right. When I was playing the tourney mission in blood and wine, I was almost embarrassed to declare triss as the woman I fought for. But the minute I played through again, this time romancing yennefer, it felt right. Triss wasn’t heartbroken in the same way that yennefer was, and I felt like there was actual love in the relationship. I never romanced triss after that play through.
This is a month old, but as someone who played the games in order, Triss is always around in the players time with Geralt, while Yennefer only comes around later. I do agree though that The Witcher 3 prefers you romance Yennefer

Agree with you man, for triss, it feels like she was too nice and didnt show her true self, almost like you being super nice to someone whom you just met. But for yen, yeah her words are harsh and spicy, but she was true to her words, she say it like it is, and not mention the heartbreak she felt if geralt lost feelings for her, triss didnt have a heartbreak if geralt didnt romance her,just slight sadness.
4:52 and 4:57. They made sure to record at least two different takes even though it's the same words and same spell. This avoids the unrealistic repetitive effect. Good job, sound team.
Witcher 3 is notorious for recording full sentences in different tone to fit dialogue differences, there are some exceptions but if you compare it to a lot of the bioware games for example, there are lots of examples there where you can tell a certain word or sentence was artificially inserted somewhere to reflect previous choices.

Honestly, the people that don't like Yen are typically the people who've never read the books. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just that there's a little more they could be missing because of that. You can tell, from almost every conversation the two have in the books, that they really do love each other, despite what Geralt wished. It's always interesting to see the relationship in the books because due to the wish, it gets kinda forced. They never logically think about getting back together, never discuss it, it just happens. When I played this game for the first time, I was so glad that they added something to break that wish, it makes the relationship that much more real. Thanks for the video btw and nice catch.
I liked yen before reading the books. I too get accused of not caring. I believe it's because I can usually choose to shelf my emotions and get whatever is needed done. And I'm more subtle. I was happy to see when I read the books that's basically my thoughts were correct on yen. Tho she shows a little more emotion in the books you can see sense she is hiding them to herself. Like when she is locked up with ceri in nennekas. She's definitely not an open book. But she doesn't talk to herself talk. So if she asked about someone there is a reason.
Exact words of Geralt's wish are hidden from reader. Based on Yennefer's reaction and her words shortly after their first enounter with djinn, CDPR made fabulous job to create this quest and give the player a romanse choice at the same time. This quest and dialogues fit books perfectly. In general, video games and books supplement each other, which is truely magnificent work of CDPR. I played video games before reading books and simply cannot describe how amazed by this game I am - again :)
@@cookieneko-chan3100 Liking book characters is very personal. I was very mad at her as she stayed with banker dwarf to have rather intimate exercise, while Ciri was wandering the city. Once events in Thanedd occurred, she was the one I was crossing fingers for. I think she changed or just showed a hell of a spirit to fight back while being completely abandoned. Desperate? Of course, but yet she did not hesitate a moment. If you compare this to Triss' behavior, well it's not even a contest.
How much content has this game given me...and even begin to imagine the Cyberpunk 2077 content. EDIT: I get it guys, Cyberpunk 2077 is both disappointing and lacking. You don't need to comment how poorly aged this comment is. The game was only in development for 7 freaking years, so I think it was a safe bet to expect this game to be good.
I accidentally came across it in my first playthrough and I didn't know it was a rare dialogue. I still went back and completed the last wish and told Yen I love her.
Damn, seeing Yen getting heart broken also breaks my hearts.. I mean, breaking Triss's was indeed quite hard to swallow but Yen's feels like it's in a whole different level..
Had this option pop up too and I had no idea what it was referring to. I just assumed it was part of the main quest to meet her, had no idea that it was actually a side quest. I noticed too that if you dont meet her, when you go to kaer morhen and do the trials on uma, when uma vomits on her she doesnt have a problem with eskel cleaning it off her. But when you do meet and help her, she instead insists on Geralt whiping her down. Blows my mind how in-depth the game takes these decisions
I found a bit of dialogue that was new to me after 600 hours. It's in Kaer Morhen, in the mission where you need to charge the filactery with Lambert. When you enter the cave in where Speartip is sleeping, there's a part where Lambert gives you a hand to reach a higher place, if you jump down he gets a bit angry and makes you get back to where he is and tells you there's no time to explore or something like that.
Yeah, one of the most surprising things about Yennefer. Is that when you don’t romance her she seems to be kinder and more loving to Geralt than when they’re actually together! Is as if Yen mentally goes back to being the hunchback girl who fears that no one will ever love her or like her. When Geralt rejects her. It’s really quite sad but very moving, really.
This is why I chose this game as the best game that I have ever played in my life. although I played it 6 times, I'm still missing a few things in it which gives the replay more value than ever. The like is deserved, and keep the good work, please.
how the hell do you have that many playthroughs? it takes me at least 200 hours per playthrough of this game with both expansions. i'm gonna be doing a 4th soon after I finish up TW2 again.
@@areyouusingthatsquatrack8256 thats because i didn't complete 100% my first ones, i played only for the trophies of each decision. And usually i prefer play the expansions apart, that's why this videos makes me want to play one more time to see how may things i can found, how many variations, etc.
I did this exact thing in my first play. I completely forgot about "The Last Wish" quest and realized only when I picked up Uma and it said that the quest failed.
I watched few videos about Witcher 3 and things that happen when you act certain way, and there's another one. It's amazing how developers managed to predict so many different combinations of events happening in game and wrote appropriate response for each.
At first I thought they took their time making this game. But after a while I was wandering how they managed to make this masterpiece so quickly. The more I learn about it the more I'm impressed.
I watched in an interview that they added this in last-second, as they noticed there was no mention of anything if you left Yen hanging :D That's why they had to reuse dialogue. They did a great job!

All these little moments between Yen and Geralt are why I'll never be able to have Geralt break her heart... (Of course not including this one, I've just heard about this now, but this feels like the moments I'm talking about...those moments that make you realize that she really does love him, even if she doesn't show it very often). I think Triss is lovely and a great character and I've been more than happy to have Geralt be together with her in the first two games but in The Witcher 3 with Yen it's just...I don't know...I can't do it.😅 It just feels so real, like these were two actual people in a relationship and if anything this is testament to how great and well made the game is.
The level of detail paid to characters, quests and dialogues crafted in Witcher 3 is astounding. I remember when following the main quest, after Yenn uses necromancy on the boy who helped Ciri, you can see by her animations she is exhausted because she has been using strong and demanding magic. Here you are presented with a set of dialogue options, four or five of them. One of those lets Geralt ask about how is she feeling and another one offers you the option to tell her she was cruel towards the dead boy. If you reprimand her for being cruel to the boy she points out that even she is showing obvious signs of exhaustion, you decided to be concerned about the boy first and not her AND if after selecting that dialogue you ask how is she feeling, she says something along the lines of " I am fine, exhausted, a shame I had to remind you to be concerned about me". She doesn't say any of this if the first thing you ask after the ritual is how she is feeling so CDPR went out of its way to change what character say depending on what you ask first. And not only with Yenn but many other characters too. This attention to detail is why they are the best company in gaming nowadays.

The depth of the characters in the witcher universe is amazing, from my understanding, Yen love Geralt the Witcher, she love the fact that she can be on her own most of the time and see him whenever she please, Keira isnt wrong she love him cause Geralt is madly in love with her and will accept to anything she could ask. Thats why i like Triss more, all she want is a comfy house in kovir when they can be at peace together and simply care for one another. That being said Yen is and always will be the burning passion of Geralt and even though he choose Triss, he’ll probably still do anything for her. Be careful guys there is nothing more dangerous than a smart and beautiful woman. ☺️

The brilliance of this game is it leaves me desperately wanting spin offs. Animated stories of before the sacking of Kaer Morhen, stories of Geralt & Triss/Yen, everything!! I want more!!! Just this game makes me so invested in the characters. I also only started playing this game at Christmas (late to the party) when I bought it on sale. I have hope for Netflix but I just don’t think it will live up to what is required of it.
I got this dialogue on my very first playthrough. I used to get as many side quests as possible, but never actually tend to them before the main quest. I didn't appreciate this detail as much, because I didn't know this was a "rare" dialog.

Its these small details that make this game incredible. I just can’t deal with QUEST FAILED!!! on the screen....so thanks for sharing. There are a lot of these little dialogue tidbits depending on your choices and whether you skip quests or not. I’m 80 hours in once again, trying to do every quest, and I forgot to being a carved statue to Triss....I was hoping I could do it later, but once helping her escape Novigrad was the only option, I couldn’t do it. I’m so bummed.
Kevin Harris quest failed is one thing i really hate about this game. I’m on first playthrough and been caught a few times by the HUD showing the next main story quest as soon as i finish whatever quest I’m on. But this sometimes make me think i need to go do a thing when in fact I’m actually still hit finished some other quests which automatically fail if I follow the quest onscreen. I.E the game kept telling me to find a boat to Skellige the entire time i was in Novigrad. I kept deselecting it but everytime i finished a side quest, main quest part or even a contract it appear on screen as my next step to follow. It did the same in Skellige and i actually assumed that i needed to go get Uma and would returnto Skelige to meet Yen. I didn’t and as soon as I got Uma i got the lovely “failed quest” for the quest where you help the other witcher get revenge on the guy who killed his mate, and also the djinn quest with Yen. Yen was super pissed with me for nit meeting her so I went back to an earlier save and googling all the time to make sure i don’t accidentally fail an important quest. Not ideal when i’m trying to avoid spoilers for my first playthrough,
Except this video as well as many other scenes confirm that should you refuse doing as Yen says so the "romance" is out the window. Dont misunderstand me, I romanced Yen too and I actually prefer her character over Triss. But Geralt is treated like a dog most of the time. And mutual love does not make a relationship healthy by itself. Ty for the videos btw. I have seen so many things from your channel that I had no chance otherwise having played the game for 3-400 hours... Amazing game

I don’t know the level of detail in this game is exactly wat I have always dreamed of in an open world even when you finish the main campaign you can still enjoy so much even without counting the dlc I really wish the team for witcher 3 could make another game like that I am that impressed

This game is truly a modern masterpiece. Incredible gameplay, characters you genuinely care for, a huge and beautiful world that begs to be explored; everything about this game was done so perfectly. Cyberpunk 2077 is going to have to be some next level shit in order to top this game.
You know the more I see about yen the more I kind of like her. Witcher 3 is the first game in the franchise that I have played and yen made a bad first impression and Triss in contrast seemed so much better. But as I go on. I see the blood and wine endings. How yen wants to settle with him and Triss wants to drag Geralt away with her. And this quest the last wish when I first encountered it I felt offended for Geralt. I didn’t really buy her reasoning. I thought she wanted to be free of him. I’m seeing that yen is a wonderfully written and complex character. But still not my first choice in a romantic partner. But I’m not Geralt.
I’m in my first go with Witcher 3 and i found it goes the other way for me. Triss was lovely to begin with but then suddenly got really whiny and short with me (Geralt) once we got to the mage escape quest. I must have inadvertently turned her down or called her ugly or something because she went from being flirty and cute to just moaning and bitching at me overnight lol.

There's one more rare dialogue from yennefer in "nameless" quest.At one point on the quest there will be two options,Let's do it(yellow) and black magic is no joke(white).If u choose the white one and then the yellow one, yennefer will respond differently,and if u choose the yellow on directly,She responds totally in another way.
If you break Triss' heart, she just gets disappointed and tries to move on.

But for yen, yeah she's sharp and harsh with her words, but she's genuine. Ship triss with geralt, it feels like a young romance or teenage love. Ship geralt with yen, they feel like an old couple whom argues alot but you can feel that they loved each other deeply, again the part in tw3 where they were eavesdropping on ciri while she was talking with phillipa and margarita further makes me feel like they were the best couple, say what you want about yen, but i still think yen is the best fit for geralt lol. But people who likes triss more are still entitled to their opinion so... Let's just enjoy the game lol.
I think CDPR did a fantastic job on creating a great piece of irony, by making other characters say Yen treated Geralt like a dog. The best example is what Djikstra said during Triss' rescuing mages from Novigrad mission, when he insists geralt is an idiot to let Triss go b/c Yen will always be manipulative and get involved with kings and politics. In the end, it is Triss who wants to continue a political career, while Yen is the one wanting to retire and spend the rest of her life with Geralt, and everything she's done, no matter how hurtful, was for the good of their daughter Ciri.
Triss cheated her way into Geralts bed, yet Yennefer forgives her ...... and people think Yen is bad?? i don't know many friends who would forgive their bestfriend if he/she fucks their partner

This accidentally happened to me on my first playthrough. I agreed to help her but then I didn't play for a long period of time. Upon returning to the game, I wanted to advance the main quest and I completely forgot about Yen. Was shocked when I met her again and she was furious. For a moment, I was so confused because I had completely forgotten about it and I felt so bad 😅
I have to admit that I much preferred Triss over Yenn at the start, but Yen really grew on me. I also thought she was just a cold-hearted b**** but she is actually really caring. I really started to like her while reading the books
This happened to me too. I was so angry because I always refused every other characters... But it was my mistake. But when I realized I would have to go back many hours I just had to leave the game for a few weeks. It would be nice to have some kind of heads up before the quest fails. This is not some kind of unimportant side quest, this is a major romance option after all. And if you have just a few hours to play every now and then the quest can completely evaporate from your mind. And having to go so many hours back when you already dont have much time to play is just annoying as hell.

Yenn for life. It's just much more deep than with Triss, and I feel like there's more history with Yenn anyways, so it's the better choice for Geralt.

I heard about This in the behind the scenes that they were extremely embarrassed that they forget to voice act her that so they put together with already existing words for EVERY Language to make this 😂 ( they did it well because it fits pretty good, it was a video about the languages and translations of the Witcher 3)

After reading the books and knowing what has happened to Yen all through her life she's a must-pick on the romance options. She's a loving mother and wife and has found what she wanted in Geralt and Ciri and she's ready to give up so much for them. She endured all of the wrath of Skellige alone just so that Geralt wouldn't get in trouble. Many people with her background would be eternal cynics and would probably never be properly happy nor would they try to make others happy but she shows Ciri the love she never got as a child and is ready to sacrifice everything for her.
I just hoped that there would have been an option in Blood and Wine where in the end both Ciri and Yen would be with Geralt, living in Corvo Bianco (atleast for a while before Ciri leaves again) and if maybe once Ciri would've called Yen "mom".
This is one thing I really dislike in the game and which I missed. Ciri never calls Yennfer mother and Yennefer only calls Ciri one time daughter.

Some people assume that this was cut out/not used, caused this would make the "Yennefer romance" more canon for the games and this would not please the Triss Romancer. I have no idea if this is true, but if I feel anger...

I chose triss in my first play through, and it really just didn’t feel right. When I was playing the tourney mission in blood and wine, I was almost embarrassed to declare triss as the woman I fought for. But the minute I played through again, this time romancing yennefer, it felt right. Triss wasn’t heartbroken in the same way that yennefer was, and I felt like there was actual love in the relationship. I never romanced triss after that play through.
This is a month old, but as someone who played the games in order, Triss is always around in the players time with Geralt, while Yennefer only comes around later. I do agree though that The Witcher 3 prefers you romance Yennefer

Agree with you man, for triss, it feels like she was too nice and didnt show her true self, almost like you being super nice to someone whom you just met. But for yen, yeah her words are harsh and spicy, but she was true to her words, she say it like it is, and not mention the heartbreak she felt if geralt lost feelings for her, triss didnt have a heartbreak if geralt didnt romance her,just slight sadness.

Witcher 3 is notorious for recording full sentences in different tone to fit dialogue differences, there are some exceptions but if you compare it to a lot of the bioware games for example, there are lots of examples there where you can tell a certain word or sentence was artificially inserted somewhere to reflect previous choices.

Honestly, the people that don't like Yen are typically the people who've never read the books. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just that there's a little more they could be missing because of that. You can tell, from almost every conversation the two have in the books, that they really do love each other, despite what Geralt wished. It's always interesting to see the relationship in the books because due to the wish, it gets kinda forced. They never logically think about getting back together, never discuss it, it just happens. When I played this game for the first time, I was so glad that they added something to break that wish, it makes the relationship that much more real. Thanks for the video btw and nice catch.
I liked yen before reading the books. I too get accused of not caring. I believe it's because I can usually choose to shelf my emotions and get whatever is needed done. And I'm more subtle. I was happy to see when I read the books that's basically my thoughts were correct on yen. Tho she shows a little more emotion in the books you can see sense she is hiding them to herself. Like when she is locked up with ceri in nennekas. She's definitely not an open book. But she doesn't talk to herself talk. So if she asked about someone there is a reason.
Exact words of Geralt's wish are hidden from reader. Based on Yennefer's reaction and her words shortly after their first enounter with djinn, CDPR made fabulous job to create this quest and give the player a romanse choice at the same time. This quest and dialogues fit books perfectly. In general, video games and books supplement each other, which is truely magnificent work of CDPR. I played video games before reading books and simply cannot describe how amazed by this game I am - again :)

@@cookieneko-chan3100 Liking book characters is very personal. I was very mad at her as she stayed with banker dwarf to have rather intimate exercise, while Ciri was wandering the city. Once events in Thanedd occurred, she was the one I was crossing fingers for. I think she changed or just showed a hell of a spirit to fight back while being completely abandoned. Desperate? Of course, but yet she did not hesitate a moment. If you compare this to Triss' behavior, well it's not even a contest.

I accidentally came across it in my first playthrough and I didn't know it was a rare dialogue. I still went back and completed the last wish and told Yen I love her.
Damn, seeing Yen getting heart broken also breaks my hearts.. I mean, breaking Triss's was indeed quite hard to swallow but Yen's feels like it's in a whole different level..
Yennefer is crazy about geralt, ans it shows much much better in the novels.
Had this option pop up too and I had no idea what it was referring to. I just assumed it was part of the main quest to meet her, had no idea that it was actually a side quest. I noticed too that if you dont meet her, when you go to kaer morhen and do the trials on uma, when uma vomits on her she doesnt have a problem with eskel cleaning it off her. But when you do meet and help her, she instead insists on Geralt whiping her down. Blows my mind how in-depth the game takes these decisions
I found a bit of dialogue that was new to me after 600 hours.
It's in Kaer Morhen, in the mission where you need to charge the filactery with Lambert. When you enter the cave in where Speartip is sleeping, there's a part where Lambert gives you a hand to reach a higher place, if you jump down he gets a bit angry and makes you get back to where he is and tells you there's no time to explore or something like that.

Yeah, one of the most surprising things about Yennefer. Is that when you don’t romance her she seems to be kinder and more loving to Geralt than when they’re actually together!
Is as if Yen mentally goes back to being the hunchback girl who fears that no one will ever love her or like her. When Geralt rejects her. It’s really quite sad but very moving, really.
It's tiny, but it's true. I love Yen in this game, she put's a tough face but she is deeply mooved by everything that's going on.

I did this exact thing in my first play. I completely forgot about "The Last Wish" quest and realized only when I picked up Uma and it said that the quest failed.
I watched few videos about Witcher 3 and things that happen when you act certain way, and there's another one. It's amazing how developers managed to predict so many different combinations of events happening in game and wrote appropriate response for each.
Denise Gough (the VA) did a great job with Yen. Hope we see or hear her in more stuff.

All these little moments between Yen and Geralt are why I'll never be able to have Geralt break her heart... (Of course not including this one, I've just heard about this now, but this feels like the moments I'm talking about...those moments that make you realize that she really does love him, even if she doesn't show it very often).
I think Triss is lovely and a great character and I've been more than happy to have Geralt be together with her in the first two games but in The Witcher 3 with Yen it's just...I don't know...I can't do it.😅
It just feels so real, like these were two actual people in a relationship and if anything this is testament to how great and well made the game is.
The level of detail paid to characters, quests and dialogues crafted in Witcher 3 is astounding. I remember when following the main quest, after Yenn uses necromancy on the boy who helped Ciri, you can see by her animations she is exhausted because she has been using strong and demanding magic. Here you are presented with a set of dialogue options, four or five of them. One of those lets Geralt ask about how is she feeling and another one offers you the option to tell her she was cruel towards the dead boy. If you reprimand her for being cruel to the boy she points out that even she is showing obvious signs of exhaustion, you decided to be concerned about the boy first and not her AND if after selecting that dialogue you ask how is she feeling, she says something along the lines of " I am fine, exhausted, a shame I had to remind you to be concerned about me". She doesn't say any of this if the first thing you ask after the ritual is how she is feeling so CDPR went out of its way to change what character say depending on what you ask first. And not only with Yenn but many other characters too. This attention to detail is why they are the best company in gaming nowadays.

The depth of the characters in the witcher universe is amazing, from my understanding, Yen love Geralt the Witcher, she love the fact that she can be on her own most of the time and see him whenever she please, Keira isnt wrong she love him cause Geralt is madly in love with her and will accept to anything she could ask. Thats why i like Triss more, all she want is a comfy house in kovir when they can be at peace together and simply care for one another. That being said Yen is and always will be the burning passion of Geralt and even though he choose Triss, he’ll probably still do anything for her. Be careful guys there is nothing more dangerous than a smart and beautiful woman. ☺️

The brilliance of this game is it leaves me desperately wanting spin offs. Animated stories of before the sacking of Kaer Morhen, stories of Geralt & Triss/Yen, everything!! I want more!!! Just this game makes me so invested in the characters. I also only started playing this game at Christmas (late to the party) when I bought it on sale.

I got this dialogue on my very first playthrough. I used to get as many side quests as possible, but never actually tend to them before the main quest. I didn't appreciate this detail as much, because I didn't know this was a "rare" dialog.

There are a lot of these little dialogue tidbits depending on your choices and whether you skip quests or not. I’m 80 hours in once again, trying to do every quest, and I forgot to being a carved statue to Triss....I was hoping I could do it later, but once helping her escape Novigrad was the only option, I couldn’t do it. I’m so bummed.
Kevin Harris quest failed is one thing i really hate about this game. I’m on first playthrough and been caught a few times by the HUD showing the next main story quest as soon as i finish whatever quest I’m on. But this sometimes make me think i need to go do a thing when in fact I’m actually still hit finished some other quests which automatically fail if I follow the quest onscreen. I.E the game kept telling me to find a boat to Skellige the entire time i was in Novigrad. I kept deselecting it but everytime i finished a side quest, main quest part or even a contract it appear on screen as my next step to follow. It did the same in Skellige and i actually assumed that i needed to go get Uma and would returnto Skelige to meet Yen. I didn’t and as soon as I got Uma i got the lovely “failed quest” for the quest where you help the other witcher get revenge on the guy who killed his mate, and also the djinn quest with Yen. Yen was super pissed with me for nit meeting her so I went back to an earlier save and googling all the time to make sure i don’t accidentally fail an important quest. Not ideal when i’m trying to avoid spoilers for my first playthrough,

Except this video as well as many other scenes confirm that should you refuse doing as Yen says so the "romance" is out the window. Dont misunderstand me, I romanced Yen too and I actually prefer her character over Triss. But Geralt is treated like a dog most of the time. And mutual love does not make a relationship healthy by itself. Ty for the videos btw. I have seen so many things from your channel that I had no chance otherwise having played the game for 3-400 hours... Amazing game

You know the more I see about yen the more I kind of like her. Witcher 3 is the first game in the franchise that I have played and yen made a bad first impression and Triss in contrast seemed so much better. But as I go on. I see the blood and wine endings. How yen wants to settle with him and Triss wants to drag Geralt away with her.
And this quest the last wish when I first encountered it I felt offended for Geralt. I didn’t really buy her reasoning. I thought she wanted to be free of him.
I’m seeing that yen is a wonderfully written and complex character. But still not my first choice in a romantic partner. But I’m not Geralt.
She didnt want to be free of him. She wanted to check if they had feelings for each other because of the curse or not.
I’m in my first go with Witcher 3 and i found it goes the other way for me. Triss was lovely to begin with but then suddenly got really whiny and short with me (Geralt) once we got to the mage escape quest. I must have inadvertently turned her down or called her ugly or something because she went from being flirty and cute to just moaning and bitching at me overnight lol.
I forgot about her quest and got this dialogue by accident and I felt bad enough that I went back to help her

Wow, I actually got this dialogue option at my first playthrough because I was to interested in the main story at that point, that I didn't really check out the sidequests in Skellige and I missed the Last wish.

There's one more rare dialogue from yennefer in "nameless" quest.At one point on the quest there will be two options,Let's do it(yellow) and black magic is no joke(white).If u choose the white one and then the yellow one, yennefer will respond differently,and if u choose the yellow on directly,She responds totally in another way.
