In the books during an argument at Kaer Morhen Triss mentions how she won't ever be able to wear a plunging neckline again due to the scars she sustained at sudden, I believe that all of the Kaer Morhen witchers were present for this. My interpretation was that Lambert rememberers that conversation from the book and also remembers Triss and Geralt's past relationship from Witcher 1/2 and was trying be a prick to get a reaction from Yennifer.... Because you know, Lambert, Lambert, what a prick.
and also that is the battle where Coral turns that Nilfgaardian soldier into a figurine. I believe Coral was one of the fallen in that battle? Triss was thought to be dead but turned out she wasn't. IRRC.
Sal that’s what I also thought when I did the quest as a day before I started it I finished the Netflix The Witcher series so I thought for sure lambert was implying at those scars but that theory just fucked me big time
Jávorszky Patrik In the game as well. In Witcher 1 there's a dialogue you can have with Lambert. Easy to miss though. after giving her the potion and sleeping with her, instead of going straight to the funeral, tell her there's some things you need to take care of then go find Lambert. Geralt asks why Lambert doesn't like Triss and he responds that she is too pretentious for his taste.
Very well said. I must admit, I've had a thing for red heads ever since having a very successful meeting with one on a high school band exchange. And unicorns and red heads are awesome reasons to pick a lover. But not to pick a life partner. I choose Triss, not because of her red hair, but because I think I would be happier with her over decades of living together.
Her hairs weren't supposed to be this red though. Seems like ultimately it's reddish brown, but nothing can be said for certain since the author kept slightly changing the description each time in the books. Dyeing isn't the case as she loved her natural color
@@DFriendVideos I know this is nine months old. I respectfully disagree I will now civilly lay down my argument. One I've always disliked triss because she blatantly took advantage of Geralts amnesia. Two I've always preferred women that are strong willed and yen is the stronger of the two. And three I think yen would spice up the romance I'm the relationship over the years while triss would keep doing the same old thing. And four YEN GOT SNARK! allow me to end this with a simple reminder that you are allowed to have your own preferences and opinions hell you could ship Lambert and Geralt. Thank you.
Triss was always my love option so she sleeping with Lambert got me sad, then I remembered my Geralt banged like 200 women while being in luv with Triss across the 3 games.
@@HummingbirdSound No, it's an old practice of witches. attested to in some obscure historical sources. Witches would connect with the their gods (the church called them demons) by harvesting toxic plants; now these plants cause halucination, but are also very poisonous, so you need to filter out the halucinogenic substances, so that you won't ingest the poison and die. One way of doing this, is by making it into an ointment using boarfat, putting the ointment on a broomstick, and rubbing it against the walls of the vagina; this acts a natural filter and only the halucinogenic substance will enter the bloodstream. This causes the women to get high and to halucinate; which is where we get the idea of witched "flying" on a broomstick. This is what the image shows.

@@sidiksurat1878 yeah i think its all speculation and also him having triss gwent card is not a prof to anything because if that is the case then krackh has slept with a Leshen.
Regarding No.7, if Geralt completes the Skelige story line before confronting Menge with Triss and Geralt asks Triss can she revive him, Geralt will say something along the lines of "Yennefer was able to do it " to which Triss will reply that she isn't Yennefer. Thought it was cool that the devs added that in
The (very overrated) books make it clear that Yennefer plays in a completely different league from Triss in terms of power. And Triss knows that. Yennefer is respected even by arch mages but she stays a out of the elite club and it's politics. At least openly. Triss actually tells Geralt on a problem she can't solve to send for Yennefer. So it's pretty much lore.
It's 2019 and Witcher 3 is, imo, still the best game ever created. The story, the atmosphere, graphics, gameplay, hundreds od quests, music and fucking GWENT are just some of the things that will never be forgotten. Thank you CD PR 🙏
I have to disagree.. the witcher 3 is the best game in the last 10 years.. it is the 2nd in the best games list.. but i still think that legacy of kain series is the best game ever.. the witcher series and many other games like god of war and assassin's creed had taken so many elements especially in the gameplay and many other things from legacy of kain series.. and it has an amaaaazing story.. so theatrical and dramatic, it is like it was written by Shakespeare himself..
@@helly7zanuff yeah but I'm not talking about the series, what I am saying is that The Witcher 3 and only The Witcher 3 is the best game ever IMO. I just can't think of a game that can compete with this masterpiece
Well, there is a theory out there that Thaler and Shani had a relationship going on for some time. So in that way Thaler might have gotten it while still upholding the gwent cards theory. Shani "got" Geralt through sleeping with him, which transferred over to Thaler (though there is no clear indication their relationship went past the initial stages of dating). Admittedly the timeline is messed up since the relationship was happening before Geralt came to Vizima in Witcher 1, though I believe Geralt had had way before Witcher 1 in the books, so it might still be alright if you include all that.
@@MrKrmel not really a theory, shani and thaler really WERE dating for some time. She was freaked out because thaler always had guards looking after him because, spoiler alert, he's actually a spy.
Triss' insecurity makes her feel so much more human to me, especially when her rival is so much more experienced and confident. And I think Geralt understands that, because he's always trying to put her at ease, and I love that they wrote options for that because it makes their relationship so sweet. I think the devs did such an amazing job at portraying her character; she's idealistic and wants to do good, but she also has a soft heart and tries to compensate by keeping up appearances.
Yeah. Originally, they wanted to go with a more political and, ya know, backstabby Triss from the books, but toned her down a bit, and now we have probably the cutest girl in all of games.
Yeah game Triss is my favorite, through all the games even when she's manipulating Geralt in the first one, and hiding what she knows about the lodge in the second. She's just as 'strong' as Yen but in a different way, and she clearly really loves Geralt even if he doesn't love her back, rather than treating him as a bit of a booty call like Yen.
@@KpK1Cioby She's not all that innocent, she's more idealistic, just wants to save everyone. I kind wish Triss & Yen got to react to Ciri's choice to battle the White Frost at the end of W3, I feel like they would have interesting and distinct takes on it. Whereas Geralt is kind of Meh? Since he's spent his whole life trying to avoid bigger questions about the world.
I take Triss's seemingly "immaturity" as more of a MASSIVE insecurity, a more romantic/emotional personality type and a big weakness for the whole situation with Geralt and Yen, I don't think she ever had any doubt that once his memory came back, she would have no chance whatsoever at being with Geralt. And this forms situations such as: 1- In the "rat contract" scene, she probably hoped he hadn't even met up with Yen yet... and that Triss would've been the first he sought out rather than Yen? 2- Her more "romantic" side. Romantic people often seem more immature than for example Yen who is far more direct about what she wants. Like she says, she's too old to play the blushing bride. 3- Probably due to this side of her, Triss also is more open to sharing how she feels rather than stoically hiding it to maintain a more firm and dominate presence. She doesn't mind being vulnerable around Geralt. 4- Given this massive insecurity, it's almost like a fairy-tale type of thing if Geralt starts showing her love thru the story. It's like she's merrily surfing through clouds seeing Geralt pay HER attention when she believed she'd have no chance at all once his memory was restored and he found Yen again. Imagine being younger and your crush is crushing on you, basically xD Lastly, 5 - She's actually way younger than Yen and this alone also counts to what level of maturity Triss has. Despite not meaning that she IS immature, just younger and more springy.. and a romantic. I feel that this "how's yen? fi-- Nevermind. I got my answer" scene is more comparable to Yen finding red hair on that bed and tossing it out the window. Emotions running high. What feels immature is for example back at Kaer Morhen before the battle when Yen is all over Geralt and Triss, scoffing/interrupting them when they're just trying to have a moment. But honestly both of them can get pretty jealous of the other and do stupid shit. My main point here was just to not take those quirks of Triss' as simple basic immaturity. One of the things I love about her character is how realistic she feels in the sense that she is so damn insecure about everything. About her abilities as a mage, her abilities as a leader, her capability to do something meaningful like helping the mages flee, and of course about how much she means to Geralt, which of course is player-dependent. She's just a more sensitive and emotional person.
Your comment is testament o the fact that the writers wrote a master manipulator in Triss. She isn't emotional, she is like the psychopath gone woke, she understands and knows how to bend emotions to her avail.
@meusana3681 I think you might be projecting your own romantic experiences onto Triss. Whatever type of woman, or women, you've encountered in your life, I pray that I never meet them.
Regarding #8, what about being impaled by the broomstick but drew very poorly? After all it's supposed to be done by some angry townsfolk, not a painter.
This triss and yen fight is pointless, because, you know, bros before hoes. After the main story ends which main character are you still able to talk? Oh, that's right, our boi Dandelion. End of discussion.

Hey, wanted to let you know if you look up Carol premium animated card for the official gwent game, there are a bunch of floating compressed figurines. Kinda cool, thought you should know.
Coral's name is pronounced [ Астрид Литнейд Осгайрфин-бьорнс-дотир] which literally translates to "the daughter of that guy who's as dumb as a bear". The father, not the daughter :D
It's worth reading the books -Triss mentiones her scars in the book - blood of elves - chapter 3 - when she's in Kaer Morhen to be a mentor for Ciri - and she mentiones the scars in the presence of Lambert, Vesimir, Coen and Geralt when talking about the battle of Sodden Hill. So that's why Lambert -in the game - knows about her scars, ...
In Witcher 1, there's a wooden bathtub filled with water by the stairs in Triss' room. The footsteps actually lead from the bathtub to the window, so it's pretty safe to assume that Triss left them after she got out of the bath.
I've never understood this 'Triss/Yen for life and DEATH to those who prefer Triss/Yen!' mentality. Most of us have played through the game more than once, and probably experienced both romances. I prefer Yen's arc personally, but Triss is adorable and I love her and it always breaks my heart whenever I break it off with her in Novigrad, and likewise with Yen in The Last Wish mission. Then there's Shani, who's capable of stealing our hearts in just one expansion!
A RATIONAL human being exists in the UA-cam comment section over the romancing and love/admiration of two (three*) beautiful women an inherently personal subjective notion...Praise Melitele's Grace for bestowing upon the world her gift of your very existence!
Regardless of how attractive or successful a person is, many people struggle with being their own biggest critic. That’s what I liked about how they wrote Triss, she seemed so human as a video game character, rather than your typical archetypal hero/heroine, even as a supporting hero/heroine, in a game.
Triss in the books is a very naive young sorceress. She's seen as a sister to Ciri unlike Yennifer who is a mother figure. So her relationship with Geralt is very much like stop seeing me as a young girl and more of a woman. She's constantly trying to prove her worth to Geralt any way she can. Her hesitation is that she knows how Geralt feels about Yennifer and had been hurt before but she can't stop herself. Also it's mentioned in the books Witchers give sorceress' kind of sparks when they touch so that's why Geralt and the other Witchers find themselves tied up with sorceresses.
Have you even read the books? that is not at all the vibe I got in book one, Triss seems more like a mother to Ciri in the short time she spent with her than Yen and she does not sound "naive" at all.
Well I always tend towards triss because she doesn't treat Geralt like crap. The Yen/Geralt romance is cute from a storytelling perspective but from a real-world-perspective it's textbook abusive behaviour and very one-sided. I guess the problem is that Yen doesn't treat *anyone* like an equal, much less her boyfriend. She's.....kind of an asshole.
@TheHowlettJames Well she does while she’s in Kaer Morhen training Ciri, but Ciri is already well aware of Yen from Geralt, and already sees her as his woman. So if you go by a family dynamic, Ciri already considers Geralt the father, and Yen the mother as she is Geralt’s woman. Something she mentions right after Kaer Morhen when the travelling dwarves think Triss is his woman, and Ciri sets them straight.
@redshirt49 Then you don’t know her at all, or him. They both treat the other like crap, because both had their personal issues that neither were willing/able to fix at the time. She was physically and emotionally abused by her parents, never had love, and then was trained as a sorceress which further stunted her emotional growth. So having love from Geralt, a home etc, she didn’t want to let it, and him, go. And he was abandoned and raised to be a killer, knew no love, had little to no social interaction, and had the ignorant common folk spout the unfeeling mutant nonsense. So having love, a home, having feelings and doubting said feelings, it scares him, so he ran from her. So they both treat the other bad at first. She was possessive, because of her scars. And he was unsettled, self loathing, and uncommitted because of his. While Geralt runs off without a word, that’s treating her bad. And while he’s off ploughing countless women, she’s looking out for him indirectly. He’s the one thinking he can just jump into bed with her after leaving her for 4yrs. Imagine leaving someone for that long, and then when you see them again, have the audacity to think you can just bed them. Or him sleeping with her best friend and asking for said best friends help first. Not saying Yen is a saint, as she’s not, she had her moments too, I’m just pointing out Geralt isn’t innocent. How does she not treat him like an equal? I’ve pointed out they were both equal in treating the other bad at times. They were both equal in thinking about the other when parted. Both equal in looking out for the other, albeit in different ways. Both equal in not wanting to impose on the other if they aren’t wanted. Both equal in risking it all for each other and/or Ciri. Yen can’t force him to do anything, and there’s been numerous examples of that.
I absolutely love Triss. I try to replay the game and take the Yennefer romance route but I can never let Triss go at the docks scene! I love how Geralt is somewhat lighter and more jokey with Triss, it’s nice to see the Witcher has another side to him that Triss seems to bring out 😊
I feel the same. But this cannot happen, if you want to play based on books, because he needs to first remove the spell, which is bounding him and Yen. PS: He like her a lot and that's why he don't want to lie to her. But after he remove the spell, there is no way how to have a romance with Triss (If you go in standard consequences). That's a one sad fact.
I absolutely love Triss too. But I haven't played the Witcher 2 and I haven't read enough of the books to see Triss in it. I hear that makes a big difference on who a fan favours.
@@DFriendVideos Its depends if one can serparate the books from the game, in the game I liked Trish her personality better, and I also found her more attractive than Jennifer. The Trish in the game to me didnt felt like she was the same Trish from books, Im glad CD Projekt Red gave us the option who to choose so you could make the game your story.
@@minuterepeater2257 That is about what I expected. Haha. The only thing that pissed me off during blood & Wine was that they give Roach a stupid male voice when she is a mare, the conversation could've been so much better and funnier between Geralt and a female-voiced Roach even some puns, flirty jokes, innuendos or even Roach scolding at Geralt than what we actually got in the quest...oh well.
The wet footprints come from Triss' bathtub, not bed. And she can be seen walking around her room in her bath-towel suggesting that she probably went from her bath towards the window. For those suggesting they did it in the bath, the bath itself was tiny. The kind you sit in, not lie in. To do the deed there you need to be tiny.
About number 8, I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be a witch pleasuring herself with a broom, which is where The whole Witches ride broomsticks thing comes from.

Personally, I've always prefered Triss to Yen. That's not to say that I don't like Yen, I think she's awesome, and I can definitely see why people might prefer her, but Triss is just more my speed, I suppose. I honestly don't get the whole mentality that there's a right/wrong romance choice in the game. People like who they like, and that's that. You're not wrong for liking one of them, the other, neither of them, or both of them (even if that does backfire on you in the end) and I hope people are happy with whichever option they went through with. I've played through this game three times, and even when I'm determined to get through the Yen romance, I just can't help but go through with Triss's romance. It's just so... charming. For me, at least. Well, bias aside, this was a great video, and I look forward to combing through the others.
I think it really depends on your life experiences. Yen very much reminded me of my abusive ex so I had an extreme dislike for her from almost minute one, so I think it's person to person, but that's the best part about RPG's. You become the character and every person who plays it has a very personal experience with the game and even though we are all playing the same story, it still feels different to every person.
Well said. A friend gave me the PC GotY version of the game a couple of years ago but I've only just recently started playing it, and in poking around various sites I've been genuinely surprised by how vitriolic the exchanges between 'Team Triss' and 'Team Yennefer' tend to be, as if choosing one instead of the other is some type of great moral failing that indicates a flaw either in character or intelligence, or both. I personally prefer Triss as a romance option however that is by no means a judgement against Yennefer as a character. She's a great character and I certainly understand why some prefer her and/or consider her the 'only choice' because of the book canon (even though I've not read them myself), and I respect that. And like @xcrstfallenstrx my choice was definitely influenced by my life experiences. Yen reminds me too much of my grandmother. Beautiful, elegant, and outwardly cold, she brooked no opposition to her decisions, opinions, or statements and drove my grandfather to an early grave. She had her moments, much as Yen does, when one could catch a glimpse of the real live human being underneath that steely façade but those moments are much too few and far between. But that is the beauty of the genre, and the strength of the storytelling in this game, that it can produce such visceral responses in those playing that influence our choices and therefore our game experience.
@@cristicat5820 I too was surprised by the rather intense internet war because I was also late to the game, so to speak. While I haven't read the books either, to my understanding Geralt actually never professes his love for Yen in the books prior to them being bound by the Djinn, hence why the Yen quest plays out how it does in the game, but books or no, the characters are very alive in this game and when we see something in them that takes us to a negative place (as Yen did for me personally) it's very hard to side with them. Just like people who've been cheated on may have a hard time siding with or romancing Triss, but there have been very few games that have ever managed such an emotional response.
I think the discussion has more to do with the way Geralt is than personal preference First time i romanced Triss, but the next 50 i stuck with Yen Personally I prefer women like Triss but Geralt and Yen have a lot more going on, from backstory and magic to ballads, and Triss is presented as an episode But the choice is there for a reason, so there is no right or wrong, whatever you feel like, do it
I think Trish’s behavior is explained by the fact we find her in a vulnerable state and also in the midst of a reckoning in her life. She and her friends are being hunted, and her lover has regained his memories and now knows he had a partner and daughter and Triss feels guilt and uncertainty about what that makes her to Geralt. It’s not impossible that Geralt or Yen would see her as untrustworthy. I think all of this explains Triss’s quite strange behavior and in my opinion seeing her emotions reflect all of these complicated things she is processing as she is trying to survive is quite fascinating.
You have to remember that the guys at CDPR are huge fans of The Witcher books and there are A LOT of references to them throughout all three of the games. The 'scars of Sodden' is a good example. At the battle of Sodden Hill Triss was., for all intents and purposes, killed. She mentions in the saga that, though she was healed through magic, she was severely scared by the event. Interestingly this is not reflected in the game however through her model design in any of the games though they are clearly aware of it. There is clearly a limit to fidelity since she should be too scarred to wear a low neckline and that has never been the case in the games. As for Triss, Yennefer, and necromancy. (Back to the saga) Nenneke states that Yennefer is a good woman but has no scruples. There is no such statement about Triss so it is likely that Triss has decided that there are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed. In the question of Triss' apparent insecurity, this makes perfect sense. In the story 'The Last Wish' it is mentioned that girls become sorceresses because they have no other acceptable path in society often due to some physical deformity. Yennefer, for example, was a hunchback. Though, through the use of magic, a sorceress has become beautiful the effect of growing up ugly and being treated differently doesn't go away.
One problem with Lambert and Triss sleeping with each other BEFORE Geralt was found is that at the time both weren't a couple so there would be no reason for Lambert to jump out a window in order to not hurt Geralt
Regarding No. 9: I always just assumed Triss was in love with Geralt, so it was painful to see him seemingly reject her gift (fountain scene) or deny their love (scene with Djistrka). Male or female, powerful or not, love will make you act that way. I don't see that as a sign of immaturity, but natural human emotion. Full disclosure: I always pick Triss - because I just really like their relationship (from Witcher 1, 2 and 3). But, I'm glad the game gives the player a choice: I'm pro-Triss, Yen, Shani, or random hooker - whatever people like! :)
We all know that once you play Hearts of Stone you really wish Geralt could declare his love for and plan to settle down with Shani! WHY CAN'T I TELL YOU THAT I AM THAT MAN YOU WANT ME TO BE SHANI!! Please don't leave for the front lines to the East. I've got a beautiful, newly renovated vineyard down south that come next year will be the best in all of Toussaint! I've even got a wonderful garden where we can grow rowan berries! Shaaaaaaaaniiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was SOOOO disappointed that the best you could do with Shani is a one night stand. There were things to like about all the LI's in Witcher, but there was just *something* about Shani that really drew me to her above all the others.
Not to worry, there is a mod for that. A mod that retexturey Triss at the end and makes her look like Shani, just in case you want it. Model is a bit glitchy and clippy, but works
Dialogue in the grain house: It makes perfect sense. She doesn´t know whether he has seen Yen since the last events but she doesn´t want to appear jealous. So she asks a different question "how is she?" and by Geralt giving an answer Triss learns that he has seen her. So she "got her answer".
About #2, it’s worth mentioning that Coral was Triss’s best friend, and the battle Coral and the Nilfgaardian soldier were at was Sodden (if I’m remembering correctly). So, the soldier was trying to kill her best friend at the same battle were Triss was horribly disfigured. Nonetheless, she does the right thing and helps him out. Another reason I love her!

Geralt heads to Vizima, Triss also heads there, while Lambert sets for Kaedwen. My point is, not only is Lambert not there, but he would never delay or prolong his trip, risking witcher secrets just so he can have sex with Triss, who he never had a particularly good relationship with anyway. Some will say teleport, but it’s questionable how powerful teleports really are and whether that would even work on such distance. Not to mention Triss’ lack of motivation for doing such a thing, but I’ll get to that. The footprints that can be seen in Triss’ house in Vizima and allegedly belong to Lambert are first visible when Geralt wakes up in Triss’ bed, after falling unconscious during his battle with Azar Javed and The Proffesor and getting teleported there by Triss. It’s not like Geralt barges unannounced through the door of Triss’ house and says hello. It is clear that he has been unconscious for some time, and even if we assume that Lambert was there, he would never have to sneak through the window, he could just casually walk out the front door, since there is no threat of Geralt catching him in the act, which Lambert’s story implies. Another thing, Triss was busy teleporting Geralt, so she can’t really have sex with Lambert at the same time. Unless Triss and Lambert have a fetish for fucking next to Geralt’s unconscious body, it makes little sense. At best they could have caught Lambert masturbating alone in Triss’ house, forcing him to jump through the window in shame. Lambert mentioning Triss’ scars is more to provoke Yen, which is implied by the camera showing her take a large sip after he mentions it. It is also in line with his personality, and Triss did spend a fair amount of time in Kaer Morhen and Lambert was even present when she told the story about her participation in The Sodden battle, so him knowing about her scars is nothing unusual. Triss at the time also worked on the amnesia angle with Geralt, trying to get him to fall for her. After years of obsessing with Geralt, why would she risked ruining her chance to finally be with him by sleeping with his close friend, and of all Lambert, who she never particularly cared about.'' This is from reddit and totally right. So its not possible in every way
Hmm, as about number 9, I think she actually killed him. I'm polish and in original line that Geralt says when he checks the body is "hmmm, still looking like alive". In polish this phrase is like idiom: it just means, that the body is looking so good, that it just look like still beeing alive, when in fact everybody knows it's not. I think that he's just appreciate the clean way she did it.

To add to the point where Triss said "You didn't have to disagree part," in the books, Triss was madly in love with Geralt, who didn't love her back as he loved Yen. She would do anything for him and was deeply jealous of Yen. Her saying that is her being scared he'll go back to Yen and leave her
The most amazing thing to me about this series of videos, is how you manage to connect the dots. It's one thing to notice a difference in dialog, for example, but then to figure out that alternate dialog is a result of one very specific thing you did, or didn't do a long time ago, in a very specific quest, is insane. And even you're sometimes guessing about a connection, like the footsteps leading out of the window in an entirely different game, it's still impressive that you even have that knowledge stored somewhere.
Anyone ever noticed Triss saying thank you when you help her in burning down the witch hunters's headquarters? Just use Igni on some barrels next to the stairs, right after leaving and her saying she needs to burn the place down, and she'll thank you. Either that, or it was an amazing coincidence that she thanked me right after I Igni'd the place.
In No. 7 for Triss refusing to practice necromancy, if you complete Skellige first, you get a follow-up option to comment that Yen did it. Triss gets upset and shoots back that she's not Yen.
The implications for the soldier statuette quest are crazy. According to the soldier he was supposed to get the right flank of Nilfgaard's forces to attack the Northern shield barers but that never happened and gave the North the edge in battle. So whether on purpose or by accident compressing that soldier messenger means Lytta Neyd won the battle of sodden for the North and paid for it quite gruesomely with her life.
Triss cheated on Geralt with Lambert Personally, I don’t buy this theory at all, it does have some nice coincidences, but it just makes no sense to me. -At the beginning of TW1, Salamandra steals the secrets of witcher mutations, secrets that are very valuable to them and something they would never want anyone to abuse for their own benefit. Not to mention Triss’ lack of motivation for doing such a thing, but I’ll get to that. -The footprints that can be seen in Triss’ house in Vizima and allegedly belong to Lambert are first visible when Geralt wakes up in Triss’ bed, after falling unconscious during his battle with Azar Javed and The Proffesor and getting teleported there by Triss. -Another thing, Triss was busy teleporting Geralt, so she can’t really have sex with Lambert at the same time. Unless Triss and Lambert have a fetish for fucking next to Geralt’s unconscious body, it makes little sense. At best they could have caught Lambert masturbating alone in Triss’ house, forcing him to jump through the window in shame. -Lambert mentioning Triss’ scars is more to provoke Yen, which is implied by the camera showing her take a large sip after he mentions it. It is also in line with his personality, and Triss did spend a fair amount of time in Kaer Morhen and Lambert was even present when she told the story about her participation in The Sodden battle, so him knowing about her scars is nothing unusual. -Triss at the time also worked on the amnesia angle with Geralt, trying to get him to fall for her. After years of obsessing with Geralt, why would she risked ruining her chance to finally be with him by sleeping with his close friend, and of all Lambert, who she never particularly cared about. Very good points, I'm not sure what to believe honestly. You mention in your first point that Lambert is very loyal to the protecting the last remaining Witchers. In Witcher 3, after your boat ride with him he goes on about how he hates being a Witcher due to his Dad if I'm not mistaken. So he might not care about Witcher's. He doesn't exactly spend his time being productive and doing jobs for Vesemir whilst he's gone to the mountains with Uma either, so he's not that desperate to assist them in that sense. He instead gets drunk, knowing that the Wild Hunt will be attacking within the near future. If he was that loyal he would work on defenses etc don't ya think? Eskel even said before they got drunk that they should work on the roof beams as Vesemir told them to. Second point, I just find it really odd how they'd randomly put a set of footsteps there if this is not the case. Like, what would be the point in adding this detail? I agree fully with the rest of what you say though.
@@Oxygen97 Hard to tell why they bothered with the footprints. Maybe it might have been a part of some quest that was eventually cut from the game. This is just a quick possible explanation that comes to mind, but it seems more likely than that they put a clue into the game only to wonder if someone connects it with another clue they put into the third game 8 years later. They couldn't be sure at all that there will be a third game, so it's really a big stretch to think they would prepare easter eggs for it. Maybe it's just an extra detail. When they had someone putting paintings on the walls, pelts on the ground, books on the window ledge, why not add some footprints leading from ... let's say the bathtub to ... let's say the books on the window ledge? Yes, the used footage is actually misleading, the whole trail is in fact much longer (for the record, I really don't suspect the author of this video to have any bad intention, he just used another author's footage). The whole footprints trail is visible only at certain camera angles. I address this in my recent comment to this video, so I'm copying it here: A much longer trail of the footprints is visible in some other youtube videos: ua-cam.com/video/1L3vcAF8m5g/v-deo.html (from Mr. Odd's Let's Play) ua-cam.com/video/JXml56u8yXU/v-deo.html (from Gopher's Let's Play) Also, ViciousFish posted some interesting observations on the forums: - The footprints go from the bath to the window, nowhere else. - The person either got out of the bath or stepped in the puddle around the bath, most likely the former. - The foot prints are small, much smaller than Geralts foot. - They are very close together. The person was walking very slowly. Not running or moving quickly. Like someone would walk knowing they have wet feet on a slippy floor, and they are in no rush. So I am pretty confident they were intended to have been made by Triss. Source: forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/lamberts-secret-lover.55178/page-2#post-11490181
I’ve said the same thing numerous times. I’ll list the reasons I think it’s untrue. 1. Triss and Lambert dislike each other, have never had a nice conversation, or even an inkling of attraction for each other. 2. Lambert has more than one friend lol. More than just his Witcher buds. 3. The card theory is stupid, as you get Olgierd’s from Shani, Yen’s from inkeeper Stjepan, and Ciri’s from a Scoia’tael trader. Therefore it’s daft. 4. They were all in different countries. Vesemir in Kaer Morhen, Eskel in Redania, Lambert in Kaedwen, and Triss and Geralt in Vizima. 5. Why would he need to bolt out the window? He could of left once Triss left to scan for anomaly’s. Or after Geralt got back, as he was unconscious. 6. The footprints belong to Triss most likely, considering she’s in a nightdress, and probably had a shower because she was filthy after collecting unconscious Geralt from a swamp. 7. Triss is in love with Geralt, you can sleep with her or not in W1 prologue, but either way she gets upset about leaving you, and worries for your safety. 8. Lambert is well aware Geralt loves Yen, not Triss, and doesn’t know if you sleep with Triss or not in the W1 prologue. So why on earth would he say he didn’t want to hurt a friend, when to his knowledge Geralt doesn’t even love Triss, and only thinks of her as a friend. Or even less than that considering his amnesia and him not knowing her at all.
I doubt that Lambert slept with Triss.. In the books Triss hates Lambert because he always call her "Merigold" her last name, and triss hates it when he does it.. also Lambert knew about the scar of her chest because Triss burst it out when she was talking to Geralt in Kaer Morhen about the battle of soden hill. Lambert, Eskel, Cohen, CIri, and Vesimer hears it too... Triss never liked lambert she also once threatened lambert when he continues to call her Merigold

That harlot! I picked Triss over Yenn in all 3 playthroughs now i learn she may be going behind my back!? I mean i may have slept with Keira, Shani, and multiple brothel workers during our relationship .... do double standards mean nothing anymore!
lol. Don't worry - it's not really feasible chronologically for a number of reasons. I delved into it on CDPR's messageboards. It's not canon, either, one of the head guys at CDPR said on Reddit it's up to the players' interpretation.
Brandon Gray Hey Brandon. I saw that thread of yours. Have a look at a thread on reddit I made myself as well. An interesting observation I made is that during the cutscene, the bathtub is right next to the bed with the footprints leading to the other side of the room where Triss was talking to the Lodge. www.reddit.com/r/wiedzmin/comments/eo220i/evidence_possibly_debunking_the_trisslambert/ That and all the other dozens of points as well. I cannot believe how gullible some people are
Triss also used you for the Lodge and whines at you to do all this crap for her when she is one of the most powerful sourceresses alive. I just felt I was interacting with a child and I treated her like one. She also doesn't respect a lot of your decisions and nags at you about it. I played all 3 games and I found her to be insufferable. She also kept the rose of rememberance from him because she "didn't want to lose what they had". What she really meant was I don't want to lose my control over you. I think Yen is the obvious choice. She is more of an equal to Geralt and they work well as a team. He also dreams about her and have an adopted child that they both love dearly. One of his dreams is just live with Yen in a cabin away from politics and crap. Yen also felt the same way. She is a partner you never had to worry about our doubt.
SPOILERS FROM THE BOOKS: In the second point, the man mentions Coral. In the book "Season of Storms" she is a very important character and she even had a relensionship with Geralt. Also, in the saga itself, it's mention that she is one of the 14 sorcersess who died in the battle of Sodden.
@CodeName BUTCHER I don't know if she was the first but cronological is the first that we know of (maybe Sapkowski is writing another prequel with a sorceress in it). I don't remember very well the interaction between Yennefer and Coral but in the saga itself we see that sorceress are very competitive and rude between each other but always behaind a mask of cortesy.
Gwynbleidd De Kear Morhen AguanteTheWitcher Lytta Neyd otherwise known as Coral, was not the first sorceress Geralt slept with. Yennefer was the first. The Last Wish chapter in The Last Wish book, where Geralt and Yen meet for the first time, and have sex after the wish at the end of the chapter, is before Season Of Storms. The latter chapter is 6 months iirc after Geralt first left Yen in their home in Vengerberg. Yen recovered Geralt’s lost swords and returned them indirectly. At the end of Season Of Storms, Yen has a chat with Lytta and gives her a death stare when Lytta says she never slept with Geralt. Then she deflected it onto her apprentice Mozaik, and implied it was her Geralt slept with, not her. Though he slept with both. Yen is no idiot and likely doesn’t believe Lytta‘s no sex with Geralt claim. 1. Yen 2. Lytta 3. Mozaik 4. Tiziana 5. Triss 6. Fringilla Those are the chronological order of sorceress’s Geralt slept with.
I played Witcher 1/2 before 3 but hadnt read the books so for my first playthrough I was carrying over a save well I romanced Triss, having done research on the universe right before 3 I learned about Yen being the canon lover so I decided to do my first playthrough with Triss sense I really liked her and then romance Yen in a second playthrough. I never could bring myself to do that, I found I completely hated Yen and, by the end of the first playthrough, I was picking decisions just to piss her off. Like I dont have a problem with people who pick Yen, but I could never do it. I am very happy with team Triss.
@@sandrobsnake As Keira said, Yen treats Geralt like a dog. If we're talking purely Witcher 3, Geralt/Triss relationship always felt more sincere and mutual. Especially that scene in the tent in Nilfgaardian camp just before the final battle. Their cute little exchange, and Geralt whispering to himself "love you too" just melted my heart. Most of my memories of Yen consist of her not listening to Geralt, disrespecting everybody (stealing Ermion's mask, destroying Freya's garden, arguing with Vesimir), often being sarcastic or a smartass even when you ask or tell her something serious, never sharing her plan with anybody unless she deems it necessary, just overall treating people like crap and walking all over Geralt. It's not a difficult choice when it comes to picking who to romance in Witcher 3.
@@BL00DYME55 TW2 was the turning point for me. Triss is superb in that game. But I agree with what you say about TW3. I just can't stand Yen. Didn't like the break up process, but it was a release moment...
1:17 I still don't know how Lambert slept with Triss in TW1. He said at the beggining that he's going to Kaedwen to search for Salamandra, then, he literally teleports to Vizima just to plough Triss😂
I don't know if this is a well known fact but in the Hearts of Stone expansion, when you are preparing for the heist you visit Ewald's house and he reveals your recruitment options... Well if you look closely on the wall behind him he has all the listed possiblities + ... you guessed it, Triss! But she is crossed out every time. I suppose he thought she could explode the vault with her fire based magic. Just imagine if you could recruit her! She would get her well deserved screen time
13:15 it’s hilarious to me the obvious depiction of a watch on her broomstick…got such an INSANE interpretation in this video. It’s a witch who crashed on her broomstick. That’s it. Just a slander against Triss.
The thing about Number 2 is that no matter what Geralt says, the point of the question was to find out if Geralt still has feelings for Yennefer, which he does because he's still under the effects of a Djnn's love spell, so that's why she always gets her answer without him stating it outright. Now depending on how you play, Geralt may either still love Yen after the spell is lifted but at the point the question is asked, he loves her, and she picks up on it, no matter the answer.
@redshirt49 Except the Djinn and Geralt’s wish has, and never had, nothing to do with love. The Djinn wanted to kill Yen for trying to capture it, so Geralt wishing for love wouldn’t of saved her life. And let’s entertain that it was about love, if that’s the case, they’d of never parted, had fights, and would of stayed together all happy. The Djinn had no effect on their feelings, it was their time apart fixing their individual issues, and Ciri being in the mix, that helped them grow and be a family. That doesn’t really make sense, because if she knew Geralt did love Yen, why would she even bother asking the question to find out. Then act all upset.
@@whitewolf7454 Hmm, couples that love each other deeply break up all the time. Love is not the only ingredient to make a relationship work well. If anything, Geralt and Yen are a terxtbook example of that. After all, several characters point out how screwed up their relationship is. And it's perfect really, the Djinn wishes for them to always end up together knowing that it will never really work out in the long run. Seems just like the sort of thing a Djinn would do. Women asking questions they know they answers to and then getting upset about getting the answer they knew they were going to get happens ALL the time. Not sure why they do it, but trust me this is totally normal behaviour.
@redshirt49 You just glanced over the biggest point I made. If it had anything to do with love, feelings, even meeting up, then the Djinn could still kill her. Geralt can still love Yen even though she’s dead. And and he could still meet up at her grave or whatever. A dirty loophole. And yeah, love isn’t the only ingredient, but there’s nothing shown that suggests their choices are the Djinn’s work. They fixed their problems themselves, parted for years sometimes. So what did the Djinn really do? If it didn’t want them to truly be together, it failed. Both Geralt and Yen are intelligent, and if they had even an inkling of a warped wish, they’d of mentioned it. Yet neither do, ever. Yet her reaction is exactly the same regardless of your choice. And considering you’ve spent years with her, and she’s a canon romance in the games, she’d have no reason to doubt he’s of two minds. As although he regained his memories, he didn’t forget the one’s he had while he was suffering with amnesia. Oh and about people chiming in on their relationship, only Geralt, Yen, Ciri, Dandelion, and Triss know how it really is. And none of them say or claim it’s screwed up. The other sorceress’s, sorcerers, anyone else, just hear things or assume things. But their relationship wasn’t great at first, because both had their personal issues that they weren’t willing/able to fix at the time. Her abuse, no love, further emotional stunted growth as a sorceress. And him with his no love, raised to be a killer, no social interaction, and told he has no feelings. So they clashed because of these things, not because of a Djinn.
SleepLess Nah I think he meant that Wolven Storm is about the ballad of Geralt and Yennefer so it reminded him to choose Yen. Nothing to do with Priscilla
I think you mean Acronym. An anagram is a word that's made by rearranging the letters in another word. Example Dog is an anagram for God. An acronym is an abbreviation of a term using shorthand. Example S.O.C.O.M is an acronym for special operations command in the military.
xLetalis, at 15:51... with the Triss confidence thing. it's been an issue with Geralt and her from Game1. Geralt and Yennifer have had that 'Wish on a Genie' thing 'Linking their Fates' for a VERY long time! also, you can choose to romance BOTH Triss and the doctor lady in Witcher2. you remember the girl who shows up in the 'Heart of Stone' expansion pack, in Witcher3? she's your 'date' during the 'Be Possessed and Show the Dead Brother' a good time mission thread during the wedding. I think you're forgetting ALSO that Sorcerers/Sorceresses and Witchers have CRAZY long lifespans. I'm unsure exactly how old Geralt is in W3 but I do vaguely recall that he's over 50 years old and still in the prime of a Witcher's life.. Geralt (and other characters) mention more than once in W2 and W3 that "Witchers can live 200 or so years. But we usually die on the Path and not of old age." both Yen and Triss mention previous 'relationships' and even ... what's the blond sorceress' name... Kira Metz? the one that sends you to the cursed island to find the Sorcerer's notes... she mentions having a 'thing' for that Sorcerer in the past. also, Yen and Triss have been... well I guess frenemies is the best term... for a while BEFORE Geralt ever showed up. ;) never forget... we don't know EXACTLY how old Yen and Triss are so they may have issues from before having to compete over Geralt's affections. you have to pick and choose and look VERY hard inside W1-3 to figure out how old the Witchers and Magic users are because, quite frankly, the writers of this franchise have been NEARLY and I do mean NEARLY as inconsistent as the writers of the Assassin's Creed franchise. heh. :> yeah, I bet the novels would use dates and statements much clearer. like in the games Geralt's memory loss has been such a HUGE issue but, he mentions 'the battle of this or the battle of that' and 'this guy was king back then'. but of course Vezimir has the title of 'Oldest Witcher in the World' because he was around 'back in the day' when ALL the present day Wolf School Witchers were little boys and started their training.
Never really seen the appeal in Yen. I get that they have a very intense relationship but they are also constantly fighting and Geralt just seem exhausted every time. The relationship with Triss just seems calmer.
Really disagree with the rats conversation thing... Yen behaves even worse and more immature than Triss if you romance Triss. The Kaer Morhen scene after u find Ciri is the most awkward thing in the game... The way she asks if they want a moment alone making them uncomfortable.. Then lingering there just staring at them and then interrupting them? Triss does nothing like that. In fact in the same scene she just walks away and leaves them be.
Yennefer acts more immature in the game in general. Refusing to talk about relationship issues, destroying Geralt's possessions in a temper tantrum, and withholding information in order to get her way in all her major quests - and that's even if you romance her. I think it's just a thing that's taken hold over time. Yen has more fans (mostly because the game has a lot more of her and the game hard sells her even when not on screen. They'd be more even if not.). And with loving a character comes this idea that they have to be perfect and you need to defend them as better in all ways. So even though Yennefer is much more immature throughout the game, the fanon around her behavior is that she's very mature and solicitous while Triss is immature.
@@EcnomicSuicide As a woman, I highly disagree with that. I don't relate to Yen at all. I know women who act like Yen, but I also learned to avoid them as friends because you can't trust them. They always hide shit from you so that they can get their way without having to consider others then act like the victim if you call them out on their willing Bullshit - like Yen does throughout the game and a good part of the books. I actually dislike Yen more because I'm a woman and know women like her.
@@zelamorre1126 They fucked up Yen in the game bad. In the books she is much more lovely, still has the cocky impression but is much better with Geralt.
@Zela Morre What are you talking about? She doesn’t talk about the relationship, because they were good the last time they were together, and now it’s complicated, but there’s more important things to do, like find their daughter who is getting hunted by powerful world conquering elves who aren’t taking breaks to talk about relationships. What of Geralt’s does she destroy? Only thing i can think of is the bed. And that’s not Geralt’s, it’s Kaer Morhen’s. Or Vesemir’s. And she chucks it out because she doesn’t want to sleep on said bed when it’s not only covered in Triss’s hair, her earring, but it’s also a constant reminder that the love of her life was ploughing her best friend for 2yrs. She doesn’t withhold everything in the main quests. The mask she tells you that’s what they are there to steal. The garden she tells you she plans on using necromancy. And for Uma, she tells you pretty much once you’ve arrived. But yeah she does withhold stuff, and I’ll explain why. You can understand my point, or just think I’m a fanboy or whatever, but either way it’s what I think. She withholds certain information, like what she plans on doing with the mask, what will happen to the garden, or why she’s got the Witchers to do a certain task, all for a reason. She lives in a world that hates mages, and is actively hunted, and people don’t trust her, even though she’s never given anyone a reason not to, especially if it concerns Ciri. So she knew if she told Geralt what the mask could cause, he’d delay, or try and do something else, which would cause Ciri’s death. She didn’t tell him about the garden for the same reason. And didn’t tell the Witchers about the trials, once again for the same reason. Geralt protested the mask, and the garden, and the Witchers flipped about the trials, and she knew all this. You can’t just change an established character to act completely different, for instance making Batman kill someone. Geralt’s character is noble, and wouldn’t want to risk the mask, garden, or trials. She even points it out. Every single one of Yen’s plans were essential in finding Ciri. Geralt had no plans, the Witchers didn’t, only her. The mask, the garden, the trials, the lodge, all Yen. If she told everyone her plans, they’d get delayed or ruined entirely. And not only would Ciri be dead, the whole world would of been invaded and conquered by the Wild Hunt. Would you discuss why you need to cut this wire on a bomb that’s counting down, as you know what to do, to a person who knows nothing about it? Or would you just get to business and do it? The analogy is similar as the bomb needs to be disarmed fast or its over, and Ciri needs to be found fast, or its over.
As awesome as Yen is, I am a sucker for red hair & freckles. So Triss all the way for me. Ciri was quite surprised when I told her I'd be giving up the Witcher life for Triss.
The author clearly did not read books about the Witcher. Triss talked about the Battle of Sodden when she came to Kaer Morhen to train Ciri. She talked about her scars. All the witches participated in that conversation - and Lambert too.
About the scars, in the books it's common knowledge that triss has several scars, because she fight against Nilfgaard and even considered dead. But I think it's quite possible she slept with lambert because also in the books she wonders if all witchers are a lover just geralt, or if somehow he is "unique".
Not sure why, but romancing Yen in the game felt like the right choice. However in real life if I had to chose between Yen's and Triss' character to date, 9/10 times it would be Triss.
Same here, the first time (i knew nothing of the Witcher) I romanced Triss but all the other times I stuck with yen I think it's because you're not choosing one of two women, you're choosing one of two stories With Yennefer, it pretty much gives you a whole story with love and adventure and magic, and a LONG time, while technically his thing with Triss was an episode. To me, I'd probably be way more atracted to Triss's Kindness and warmth, tenderness, and general happiness but Geralt has a lot more backstory and Confidence with yen, or so I believe, it's like they're meant to be Especially when you hear wolven Storm
I actually disagree, Yen is better the more you know her but their relationship is sooo toxic, i can't bear putting Geralt in this game again. He and Triss are by far healthier imo, and she's the one je will be happier with
@@matthieuravet1968 I dont see anything toxic. Not in the way that real toxic relationships are defined. There are certainly issues, but thise dont seem toxic to me personally.
I love both Triss and Yen TT TT thanks for the video~ Triss is indeed immature but at the same time she's sweet and very caring for all her friends and mages, even risking her life for them. And she has the best heart and intentions among all the characters to me. Yen is a lot more mature, secure and she knows well how powerful and interesting she is. She is pretty unique and straight forward, a woman ahead of her time. It seems like she has no limits when it's about protecting her most loved ones and we can never know what she will come up with next XD (opposite os Triis, who is the girly standard and many times very preticable)
This isn't related to this video but a very small detail I found in the game which I'm not sure if you've covered is after the romance mission with Yen where you dive in the waters around skellige looking for I believe the wreckage of a ship in regard to the djinn, when you return to land yen says she will meet you back at the inn at Kaer Trolde and she will ride off on her horse but if you get on your horse straight away as well and catch up to her there are a few lines of dialogue where she says something along the lines of "chose to keep me company?" with Geralt responding "wanted to make sure your safe" etc. Even though it's about three or four lines it is a really cool detail that just shows how much effort was put into this game, anyways great video as always, keep up the good work 😃
Yeah I noticed that too but did you know if in the middle you decide to leave her she comments something like "typical of you too leave me in the middle" something like that!
Great video first of all. Unlike most of those "Top 10 things you missed in xxxx" videos, most of these I really didn't know. With regards to point 9...why she seems so timid around Geralt is because she actually loves him. She cares deeply for him and doesn't want to do things that will make him feel different to her. It's not that she is desperate...one tends to seem vulnerable towards someone they love or care about deeply. This is up to debate sure, but compare how she is around Geralt to Yen...very different. Cheers
I'd like to add to this that at the end of Witcher 2 Geralt gets his memory back and it's awkward with Triss when he brings it up. (Which is what leads to the split) Triss was always the girl who wanted him but Geralt always was in love with Yen. She took advantage of his amnesia to start the relationship and feels very insecure now that he remembers all. It's also very frosty with Yen on first meeting in Vizima if you ask why she didn't contact you. Geralt's reply that he lost his memory doesn't cut it and Yen only gets the answers she seeks to if Geralt truly loves her when the Djinn quest is complete.
in the games triss always gave me the hint to be a well functioning and capable woman. i guess she is only immature when it comes to her love life because in other aspects she is definetely not child-like, if she was really that immature mentally she wouldn't have been able to become so important, she wouldn't have been one of the most famous and wanted witchers of novigrad, it would have been a miracle if she was a witch living in some isolated hut who didn't get caught by the witch-hunters.
Except, if my timeline is correct, It happened before the begining of Geralt and Triss's relationship, or at least just after they had sex the first time. It was absolutely not sure whether they would really end up together or if Geralt would recover his memories immediately, so there was no real certainty of their relationship.
@@DearShion Exactly PLUS Geralt Every. Single. Time. he slept with Triss or Shani or anybody was cheating on Yen! Geralt really has zero amount of room to judge or condemn.
@@flamesofchaos13 He had no recollection of their relationship, hello? And in the books, Yen cheated as well with some wizard, only she was in sound mind while at it, so she's not to judge either.

Triss was her BEST FRIEND no other women Geralt was with did she know so personally and trust. 2. Geralt gained True Feelings for Triss unlike every other women who was simply a fling nothing serious. 3. Women are hypocrites you aren't justified just because they did it too. So nope Geralt cheated big time and yeah he does in fact deserve harsh treatment from either Sorceress. He can't judge and they not only WILL and HAVE but actually are kinda justified in doing so. So yep Geralt is always gonna lose this battle of the cheaters. And given Lambert is his brother and truly regretful Geralt wouldn't be pissed anyway. Bros before Hoes should be a Witcher Rule if it ain't one. Also yeah Lambert if this theory is true DIDN'T cheat with Triss when Geralt get's to either Kaer Morhen or Vizima Triss WASN'T his women he either wasn't in a relationship or it could only be considered a fling at that point in the timeline.
I would like to add a few points about miss marigold 1.In the book she is described as having chestnut hair and blue eyes but in the game we all know she has red hair and green eyes. 2.She is a skilled healer and carried with her many magical potions, but she never uses them on herself because she was allergic to potions. 3.She is known as marigold the fearless.
13:48 In Europe in the olden days, Witches were believed to ride the devils diddly as represented by the broom. This is where the witches on brooms myth comes from and most likely what the picture represents.
Seems i will never find out what she thinks of Necromancy SINCE I WON'T LET THEM RIP OUT EVERY SINGLE OF HER FINGERNAILS urgh... i feel bad just thinking about it. :'D
I didn't let her come to harm the last time I played it. So this time, I let her almost get killed to see if that would dramatically change her attitude towards me. Found out she still wants Geralt's D.
Maaan, ya know I wanted to do a playthrough where I let it happen, and I searched the Internet, it literally changes nothing bsides her immediate reaction, and the interrogation at midnight (which I like a lot), but man the game is too long and that scene is just too hard, the guys really made this game hit you very very deep, or maybe I'm just too soft hearted to let the woman go through that, while listening to it next door
Guys you probably know now but triss didnt slept with lambert, those footprints dont come from the bed, but from the bath. (Also the footprints are wet)
I think Triss is so awkward around Geralt, because she's madly in love with him to a point of obsession (also she's not manipulative in the games as she is in the books). In the same time she knows Yen is Geralt's big love and beats herself up about it. Makes me like her even more (tough I initially went romancing Yen in my first playthrough)
Just a friendly heads up on Triss / Lambert - CDPR noted on Reddit that its' up to the player's interpretation. Personally I don't believe it's logistically possible given the events of Witcher 1, where people were headed geographically after the prologue, where the footprints were, what would have had to happen chronologically for it to be true - it's just absurd. It was put there just to give people pause and make them think about it.
About point 9, for me it says Triss is deeply in love with Geralt and at the same time she feels guilt for exploiting his amnesia, so she is kinda desperate for him. Yen on the other hand loves him as well, but she has her walls up and would never show that kind of behavior, even when she should feel guilty about not even try to find him for the first 2 games. Also that is why I hated the "takes 3 to tango" quest. It didn't match any of the girls behaviors to do that, plus it made Geralt look at fault for loving them both, when it was perfectly logic for him to have feelings for both women. I'm not saying he is entirely blameless, but those 2 weren't exactly innocent. The correct way to go was to have an adult conversation between the 3 of them given their histories, and most likely made Geralt choose 1, or none.
Wow. There were several things in there I hadn't seen. Very informative. I find it amazing that a game is still managing to surprise me after all this time.
@@berketaskran8329 it was eskel. doesn't it say in the books that eskel looks like geralt and that triss kinda likes him because of that? lambert and triss hate each other.
If you went into Triss old house, you will find that most books laying around the ground or beside the bed are all about Witcher which I suspect related to Geralt. I love Triss in the game but no so much in the book. Triss was only 30,40 years old at that time and Yen who at least a hundred years old, so it is naturally to feel Triss acting like young woman or sometime, immature school girl. I had to say even though they modified Triss a lot in the game, they still doing a fantastic job to able to make some changes but still somehow related to the book.
I find It hard tô believe Triss cheated on Geralt when they were together, cause in the games she seems really devoted tô him, even If you choose Shani. I think your theory makes more Sense, but Just to an extent, because If she and Lambert had sex before Geralt arrived, why was he hiding this? Since they didn't know he wasn't dead. Also, in the First game Lambert and Triss are constantly arguing, Lambert even wants tô hide that he was concerned when she got injured, Triss Heard him being worried and couldn't believe It later. Strange for former lovers.
I romanced Triss during one of my playthroughs but Yenn was so hurt at the Djinn, and then I read the books and was like no way he doesn't choose Yenn.
It's kind of logical to realise why she is less confident around Geralt. It has been implied during the games that Yen is Geralt's true love.Triss met him and they fell in love because she lost his memory. She kind of knew that as soon as he finds Yen and gets his memeory back, their love story is likely over.
Triss is caty towards your relationship woth yen because she is envious, yen throws out the fucking bed unprompted so i guess they are on the same level
I don't think she's inmature, she's just really hurt. At that point she might be thinking Geralt never loved her if he abandoned her the moment he regained his memory. And even then, she really wants to make him happy, and that is not desperation nor inmaturity for me -she doesn't seem to have any hope-, it just means she still loved him and is still hurt.
But he didn't love her like that in the first place, so of course he would abandon that once he regains his memory. That was all her taking advantage of his amnesia. Geralt and Yen literally died in each others' arms and were buried together on an island. You don't think she should've taken the opportunity to mention any of that to him? Not once in the first two games did she even mention Yen's existence to him. That's not love, that's gross emotional abuse.
@@Crazy_Diamond_75 vesemir didn't eskel didn't lambert didn't dandelion didn't no one did and she tried to tell him about his past and he told her he wasn't ready
Of course he didn't love her and she knew that damn well. She lied to him about everything, took advantage of his amnesia to force herself on him so yeah, she has no right to be "hurt". She brought this to herself

It's disappointing that they tried to pigeon hole you into the Yennefer romance option. Which i still like Yen, but i just prefer Triss and i've watched both of your complete romance videos on both, it does seem to be lacking for Triss and apparently this was even less at the start? That's disappointing. I wish they wouldn't have done that. We all understand Yen is Geralts love in the books, but players don't like being forced into one singular thing when it comes to those sorts of things. Seems like a foolish thing to do on the developers part. I'm glad they ended up adding some, but it honestly does still feel quite lacking. I also agree with you about people being civil. Shit get's way too out of control sometimes, so i'm glad you mentioned it. I understood what you were saying about Triss at around 17:11, but i think that's one of the many likeable things about her.
Point number 7, right before sending her to Menge at the fireplace when Triss takes out the shackles and you ask her "Right here and right now? In front of everyone?" Triss will reply to you "To your surprise, there is more use of it than in the bedroom" (Something along the line). Kinda suggested that Triss might come out as a submissive as compared to Yen's dominance.
Also there’s a poster in The Hearts of Stone expansion where when you go to the herbalists hut and go in the basement to talk to the stranger there’s a poster of her on the wall next to the other people who you can get to join your crew but her poster is crossed out.
IRRC.

Triss is a redhead
Yen's got the unicorn

Very well said. I must admit, I've had a thing for red heads ever since having a very successful meeting with one on a high school band exchange. And unicorns and red heads are awesome reasons to pick a lover. But not to pick a life partner. I choose Triss, not because of her red hair, but because I think I would be happier with her over decades of living together.
If someone will create mod where can have both of them an then will be selling it for 1$, he can be millionaire
Her hairs weren't supposed to be this red though. Seems like ultimately it's reddish brown, but nothing can be said for certain since the author kept slightly changing the description each time in the books. Dyeing isn't the case as she loved her natural color

The point with the Gwent cards implies geralt slept with thaler at one point
Thaler is no Witcher ;)

And Zoltan
She's just as 'strong' as Yen but in a different way, and she clearly really loves Geralt even if he doesn't love her back, rather than treating him as a bit of a booty call like Yen.
yea but theoretically and the way the writer of the books made it, Yen is his choice, he likes danger unlike us who like the cute innocent girl
I’m glad they changed her character from the first game, where she basically raped and manipulated Geralt
And this forms situations such as:
1- In the "rat contract" scene, she probably hoped he hadn't even met up with Yen yet... and that Triss would've been the first he sought out rather than Yen?
Imagine being younger and your crush is crushing on you, basically xD
Lastly, 5 - She's actually way younger than Yen and this alone also counts to what level of maturity Triss has.
I think she is absolutely sensitive, but not as emotional as Yen...
Your comment is testament o the fact that the writers wrote a master manipulator in Triss. She isn't emotional, she is like the psychopath gone woke, she understands and knows how to bend emotions to her avail.
And this is why I'm choosing Triss 🥰 she's more human, and a romantic.
@@meusana3681 not my problem. Can't deal with Yen's toxic bitch attitude.

Litterally....
Yen is canon
I don't like the book triss but I like the game triss very much
Well I always tend towards triss because she doesn't treat Geralt like crap.

About number 8, I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be a witch pleasuring herself with a broom, which is where The whole Witches ride broomsticks thing comes from.
came here to say this, glad someone beat me to it. I thought it was kind of obvious. Whats with the head and hair comments and shotgun? lol you have an active imagination sir
I think the discussion has more to do with the way Geralt is than personal preference
First time i romanced Triss, but the next 50 i stuck with Yen
Personally I prefer women like Triss but Geralt and Yen have a lot more going on, from backstory and magic to ballads, and Triss is presented as an episode
But the choice is there for a reason, so there is no right or wrong, whatever you feel like, do it
I think Trish’s behavior is explained by the fact we find her in a vulnerable state and also in the midst of a reckoning in her life.
Seriously these games are for mature audiences and looking at all the Triss trashing all these years I doubt if much of the playerbase has it
Team triss?? Team Yenefer? Pfft!
I will die playing gwent before i make that decision.
You live up to your user name.
How both are only a 7 in the ingame Gwent is beyond me.
Plot twist: Lambert slept with Yennefer. She does believe he looks better than Geralt, after all... ;)
I love Triss, not only do I think she is the most beautiful video game character ever created but I also love her personality.
she really is the most beautiful girl in video games
@@arklytte because Shani is the Best person in the entire game, like she has no flaws-never Did anything wrong and tries to help others.
Not to worry, there is a mod for that. A mod that retexturey Triss at the end and makes her look like Shani, just in case you want it. Model is a bit glitchy and clippy, but works
13:38 looks like a witch who had a crash landing on a broom. At least I am sure it's more likely to be a broom rather than shotgun XD
Dialogue in the grain house: It makes perfect sense. She doesn´t know whether he has seen Yen since the last events but she doesn´t want to appear jealous. So she asks a different question "how is she?" and by Geralt giving an answer Triss learns that he has seen her. So she "got her answer".
General Voorhis is at the party too. Wearing a lion mask. He bumps into you thinking you're someone else
too obvious :) The only way to miss him is to not play Gwent ever... which I assume nobody does!
Yeah I remember that! I like that Movran guy
nice to see some Triss support here :) Always had a soft spot for her.

After years of obsessing with Geralt, why would she risked ruining her chance to finally be with him by sleeping with his close friend, and of all Lambert, who she never particularly cared about.''
This is from reddit and totally right.
Thank you! Sometimes the english translation is pretty bad. Do you know that Ciri says in B&W that she drank a Witcher potion? I mean... that isn't even near the original. And she would died of it XD

Not making Triss a Red head was a fucking crime. I'm still hoping they bring in another red headed sorcerous to be basicity Triss for future seasons.
Same, Netflix was *really* stupid to do that.

at least all the Wolf Witchers knew, as she told them about them on this very table.
@@legofisch9753 Oh yea, you'r right
I disagree. Lambert, what a prick, intentionally put those words out, because he knew that Yen will be pissed.
@@overlord580 Ofcourse, what we were talking about is how he knew about the scars in the first place.
@@overlord580 Triss literally said to Geralt, Lambert, Vesemir and Coën that she has bad scars on her neckline, he do not have to see her naked to know this, cause she told him.
I did a video about that later yes!
I chose Yen in game and also like her better but I must that Triss is also a very good character and would help Geralt in any way possible!

@@clitcrusader4897 haha soo true!
Triss cheated on Geralt with Lambert
Personally, I don’t buy this theory at all, it does have some nice coincidences, but it just makes no sense to me.

Sour : Reddit
I agree fully with the rest of what you say though.
there are some things that don't add up, I don't know what to believe either. whose footprints could those be then?
I address this in my recent comment to this video, so I'm copying it here:
A much longer trail of the footprints is visible in some other youtube videos:

(from Mr. Odd's Let's Play)

Also, ViciousFish posted some interesting observations on the forums:
- The footprints go from the bath to the window, nowhere else.

Sounds like a lot of flirting to me... ;)
I’ve never thought it was true, for reasons I’ll list.

That and all the other dozens of points as well.

Yep and she died really violently too
@CodeName BUTCHER I don't know if she was the first but cronological is the first that we know of (maybe Sapkowski is writing another prequel with a sorceress in it). I don't remember very well the interaction between Yennefer and Coral but in the saga itself we see that sorceress are very competitive and rude between each other but always behaind a mask of cortesy.
Gwynbleidd De Kear Morhen AguanteTheWitcher
Lytta Neyd otherwise known as Coral, was not the first sorceress Geralt slept with.
1. Yen
2. Lytta
3. Mozaik
4. Tiziana
5. Triss
6. Fringilla
Those are the chronological order of sorceress’s Geralt slept with.

The drawing looks like a witch that flew on a broom and crashed in the ground head first.
I was going to choose Triss until I heard Priscilla sing Wolven Storm.
SkyStorm Plays sad dandelion got her
SleepLess Nah I think he meant that Wolven Storm is about the ballad of Geralt and Yennefer so it reminded him to choose Yen. Nothing to do with Priscilla

I never noticed Gaunter O’Dimm’s anagram was G.O.D
Nice!
WAIT WHAT??!?!?!?
Zela Morre women can relate to yen more and more so the relationship type
Ciri was quite surprised when I told her I'd be giving up the Witcher life for Triss.
fair enough ;]
The author clearly did not read books about the Witcher.
Triss talked about the Battle of Sodden when she came to Kaer Morhen to train Ciri. She talked about her scars. All the witches participated in that conversation - and Lambert too.
At the time I hadn't read them, true. Now I have :)
Too bad you dont get that choice
Its because Triss might be the right woman for you but Yen is just right for Geralt :D
Same here, the first time (i knew nothing of the Witcher) I romanced Triss but all the other times I stuck with yen
I think it's because you're not choosing one of two women, you're choosing one of two stories
With Yennefer, it pretty much gives you a whole story with love and adventure and magic, and a LONG time, while technically his thing with Triss was an episode.
To me, I'd probably be way more atracted to Triss's Kindness and warmth, tenderness, and general happiness but Geralt has a lot more backstory and Confidence with yen, or so I believe, it's like they're meant to be
Especially when you hear wolven Storm
I actually disagree, Yen is better the more you know her but their relationship is sooo toxic, i can't bear putting Geralt in this game again. He and Triss are by far healthier imo, and she's the one je will be happier with
@@matthieuravet1968 I dont see anything toxic. Not in the way that real toxic relationships are defined. There are certainly issues, but thise dont seem toxic to me personally.
Number 9: I think she wasn’t sure they spoke and he just confirmed it.
I love both Triss and Yen TT TT thanks for the video~
Triss is indeed immature but at the same time she's sweet and very caring for all her friends and mages, even risking her life for them. And she has the best heart and intentions among all the characters to me.
Yen is a lot more mature, secure and she knows well how powerful and interesting she is. She is pretty unique and straight forward, a woman ahead of her time. It seems like she has no limits when it's about protecting her most loved ones and we can never know what she will come up with next XD (opposite os Triis, who is the girly standard and many times very preticable)
good comment ;]
@@xLetalis thank you!!!!

(Which is what leads to the split)
Triss was always the girl who wanted him but Geralt always was in love with Yen.
13:20 from my point of view, it's pretty obviously a broomstick, and she's riding on top of it like a witch would in all those old stories about them.
in the games triss always gave me the hint to be a well functioning and capable woman.
i guess she is only immature when it comes to her love life because in other aspects she is definetely not child-like, if she was really that immature mentally she wouldn't have been able to become so important, she wouldn't have been one of the most famous and wanted witchers of novigrad, it would have been a miracle if she was a witch living in some isolated hut who didn't get caught by the witch-hunters.
LAMBERT! you dirty back stabber... That's it, on the next play through, he's going on the funeral pyre!

@@flamesofchaos13
He had no recollection of their relationship, hello? And in the books, Yen cheated as well with some wizard, only she was in sound mind while at it, so she's not to judge either.
@@miloradowicz She does in fact judge seriously just try making the amnesiac excuse towards her...Boom portal. Boom sass. As for them both cheating I know but you should realize 1.
I would like to add a few points about miss marigold
1.In the book she is described as having chestnut hair and blue eyes but in the game we all know she has red hair and green eyes.
2.She is a skilled healer and carried with her many magical potions, but she never uses them on herself because she was allergic to potions.
3.She is known as marigold the fearless.

Seems i will never find out what she thinks of Necromancy
SINCE I WON'T LET THEM RIP OUT EVERY SINGLE OF HER FINGERNAILS
urgh... i feel bad just thinking about it.
Thank you for this. I love Triss so much!
Even though its longer than the norm. The video is still too short
Wow. There were several things in there I hadn't seen. Very informative. I find it amazing that a game is still managing to surprise me after all this time.

Yeah I actually recently discovered that the footsteps clue is not as strong as I thought, should probably make a video about it.
And even then, she really wants to make him happy, and that is not desperation nor inmaturity for me -she doesn't seem to have any hope-, it just means she still loved him and is still hurt.
fair enough
