Mate as a retired Sparky, Yeronga TAFE 1980 to 1982, that is very informative for a lay person especially checking polarity at the end. I am about to swap out some doubles to four gang ( they were not available when I was a boy but wood blocks were still being used) so just wanted to check that it is a neat swap and ended up watching the whole video. Thanks muck.
Hey mate wondering if you could tell me how I would go about adding a completely seperate power point, is it just a matter of piggy backing off the existing one in the room or have I got to run new wires down from the roof?
@351HOON yeah mate, call an electrician and they'll easily be able to do this job for you, it's not worth you doing it yourself as it can be dangerous and you're insurance wont cover you if you burn the house down if you're not competent.
Im a first year apprentice in AU. Just gotta say I really appreciate all your vids mate.
You are most welcome my man 👍 first and second year can be tough and you get treated poorly so hopefully some extra knowledge will help.
@allelectricalau not wrong mate. Keep em coming! 😄

Basically wanting to go from 2 to 4 but the extra two on the other side of the bed in a bedroom
I need the answer for this too @RaditzAus
Thank you
will it cause overload? or not I just want to replace my single power point to double. thanks
Possibly the more you have plugged into it. The circuit breaker should trip if there is any issue.
Hey mate, when installing a new GPO is it safe to daisy chain from an exisiting GPO or do you install a new circut on the panel? Cheers.
Are you an apprentice?
@@johnlennon1151 No I'm not I'm just trying to get an idea of what's involved before I call a sparky in to do the job.

How much would an electrician charge to do this?
Get a couple of quotes, it pays to get it done professionally.
