I would recommend at least clamping it down gently to the control panel, use a piece of rubber to protect the overlay. Other than that, I have used step bits for this and they work well.
LOL, it's alright if you keep in mind how cool the machine will be once it's up and running! That's how I get through it. I had to drill three machines, and wasn't too bad after it was all said and one. Never looked back again!

Great Vid! I've seen some videos of the graphic overlay not fitting perfectly. The image was overlapping. How did you make yours so clean?

I hate drilling the dumb acrylic. I drilled new buttons for a TMNT machine one time. Never again.
