"He's just standing there... menacingly!!" doesn't fail to make me laugh Also yeah, the Squeaky boots eps is a reference to edgar allan poe's tell tale heart
@@dannybonilla9336I wouldn’t say he takes it too serious it’s just he’s never watched SpongeBob before so he’s saying what we all think when we watch these episodes. These are still pretty valid questions
Love that Boom called "The Telltale Heart." Seeing this episode brought up memories. The Rocket and the Boots episode. Had a "smell-o-vision" version. You could pick up a scratch and sniff card from any grocery store and the episode would tell you when to sniff each section of the card as the episode played. I remember Squidward's "egg sack" and the boots getting fried as two sniff moments.
The most messed up thing about the aliens episode is that they thought they were on the moon. They were trying to abduct an entire society of another species.
It must be said there are literal Spongebob Raves & Parties thrown at clubs because of that Jellyfish Jam episode, so the cultural impact of Spongebob is honestly so crazy and fun to me.
The original quote is known as "Hanlon's Razor", named after its creator, computer programmer Robert J. Hanlon. "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
Lol I mean Patrick is also a menace. He heavily encouraged Spongebob to be a menace in the Sandy's Rocket episode. If ti weren't for Patrick turning him into a crazy conspiracy theorist for an episode Spongebob might've implied with Sandy.
Something ive noticed about pre-flanderization Mr Krabs is that, ignoring most anything involving money, he is generally a pretty good boss. He sends his workers home early if he notices they are feeling off. He's ready to pitch in and take orders or cook if he needs to. He doesnt mind shenanigans as long as they arent majorly disruptive. His employees clearly make more than a living wage considering they never seem hard up for cash. And overall he treats his workers well so long as they arent slacking off. For a Pirate Fast Food Resturaunt Owner, he is a pretty good boss usually.
The acron patch IS apart of Sandy's suit but it doesn't appear till season 2 when the art style changed. Just like how Sandy's tail isn't out of her suit right now either but come S2, it's always out of her suit
When the police fish troll Patrick with the poor drawing of SpongeBob and Patrick screams then they tell Patrick to take that ice cream cone off his head. 😂
Squidward was always my favourite, mainly because i didn't start watching until the infamous "Squidward torture porn era" so I always felt bad for him. And I felt his pain because when i was a kid I was just dead serious and had absolutely no tolerance for people like SpongeBob
At this point what gets me about boom is that he doesn't just get surprised about Spongebob things. He gets surprised about *cartoon* things. Stuff that's not even original to Sponge. The kind of over-the-top, spectacular nonsense that's been coined since before looney tunes. Where'd the childhood go?
The hall monitor episode has always been one of my favorites. There are a handful of things from SpongeBob that I quote almost daily and “ IN THE HALL!” is one of them.
Funny that everything to do as a Hall Monitor which don’t know how’s that a thing on driving boating school, especially from out of town. Also anyone pointed out the rocket smokes through in Sandy tree house from outside 😂
I love how the topic of SpongeBob's feet keeps getting brought up. This really is one of the few Nick shows that didn't follow the Schneider trend of feet = "funny" (probably due to the lack of child actors)
I could have sworn I never watched this as a kid. My parents were not amused by it… they’d probably like it now. But I swear every episode is so damn familiar, not just the memes. Every. Single. One.
I dunno, I thought Spongebob was pretty annoying as a kid. But as an adult, it's obvious the way it's written, Spongebob is just a well meaning idiot. And usually Squidward tries to take advantage of Spongebob's naivete in some way. And usually it ends up blowing up in Squidward's face. Sure, there are some episodes where the sentiment that Squidward is just cynical and trying to be left alone is true. But most of the episodes, Squidward projects elitism and purposely tries to sabotage people and pays for it in the end.
It kinda feels wrong to say he's relatable when his elitism and narcissism are turned up to a comedic degree and displayed every episode. Similar to Mr. Krab's greed. None of the character are relatable really, maybe Sandy is the most?
@@panner11they probably meant that to them he is. And if they dident I would say squidward still is. Because you don’t have to look at the entirety of his personality. Just some parts of him are relatable.
i just thought of something fucked up. In the jellyfish episode, did Spongebob satisfy the jelly fish sexually which then made it view him as a friend?
something I didnt realize until now when watching the squeeky boots episode is that Mr. Krabs' hiccups sounded like the squeek because he ate the boots... I just thought as a kid it was a coincidence that he had hiccups that sounded like that similar to when he was hearing that sound everywhere at the krusty krab
13:46 Nostalgia Critic: (dresses up like a cowboy) We don’t take kindly to logic in SpongeBob, buddy boy. Now you sit down and get back to watching SpongeBob do randomly confusing things. Me: ROFLOL 😂
I do find it a little annoying when people try to question the logic of a show like SpongeBob as if there was something wrong with a cartoon being nonsensical.
i mean there was a club an hour from me that literally had a spongebob rave and i would believe they played that song of the spongebob and the jellyfish dancing too. (im still upset i never went to it)
Growing up people called me Squidward because of my personality 😂 I’ve always been an old curmudgeon but I loved every character in Spongebob because they are all just so funny in their own ways.
Dude who keeps asking why spongebob keeps his shoes on obviously can't see how short spongebobs blanket is. You can clearly tell his feet would freeze without shoes
It's shocking realizing how many SpongeBob episodes in the first couple seasons were parodies of famous works of literature, movies, and plays. I'm just saying, keep an eye out going forward.
Actually, i've had my share of exposure to loud as truck music playing through a whole day and i can say, might be psychological, but it seems the closer you are "less loud" it feels. Maybe your senses get used to it? maybe it's so loud it numbs you brain? but Loud music seems way more annoying when you are a few meters away than a few steeps near
Bro I recently had to read tell tale heart in school and honestly, yep. Tell tale heart, if the dude ate the old man instead and started making heart beat sounds
I was waiting for Boom to mention that Spongebob was wearing the boots over his shoes because I noticed that when Krabs took them off, Spongebob still had his other shoes LMAO 😭😭😂
"He's just standing there... menacingly!!" doesn't fail to make me laugh

@@justok5426 truly the best kind of meme to describe jojo
Sheesh never gets old 🤣
As to why Spongebob could sleep through the music. I personally think he's a very heavy sleeper, hence why he has a foghorn alarm clock.
He confirms in a later episode, that the foghorn alarm clock is the only thing that can wake him up
y’all gotta understand in spongebob literally there are no restrictions whatsoever in this show he can do literally anything 😭
Exactly some people akA the got on the bottom left take it too seriously just enjoy the wackiness

"I am!"
He's a little confused but his heart's in the right place.
Still put Jellyfish Jam at parties. People immediately dance to it no matter what lmao
Yes!
18:26 The 3 dots patch is only in the first season. The character designs slightly changed over the years.
Exactly! Another thing to take note of is Patrick's eyebrows
Also the fact that Sandy doesn't have a tail currently, but she does in later seasons
Sandy’s patch becomes an acorn after season 1. Her tail also is visible on the outside of her suit in that small s2 redesign
It was visible since the Nicktoon Summer Splash block
You guys talked over my favorite line
"So, you were an alien all along. And you didn't even tell me."
"I didn't even know" lmao
It's amazing how many of my favorite Spongebob memes come from just the first handful of episodes.
S1-3 have basically all the iconic memes X)

Squidward is the definition of when you're a kid you side with the kid and when you're an adult you side with the adult
I dunno, I thought Spongebob was pretty annoying as a kid. But as an adult, it's obvious the way it's written, Spongebob is just a well meaning idiot.
