As a volunteer marshal at Brands, i look forward to seeing your videos as nearly all of the crashes at Brands, I only hear about them over the radio unless they occur at my post. So thank you from me for being there, like us marshals in all weathers, to capture the mishaps. .
This is wholesome! I just wish people would stop clapping when they see a crash. I understand it if the drivers are ok but they clap immediately and it's not fun to crash
Truck racing still annoys the crap out of me, we get moaned at like a drain for the tiniest bit of grass damage and the trucks arrive and you can be certain they just destroy the track in some way.....as much as I love the trucks the damage they cause is disproportional IMO>
Love the video, Brands Hatch has always been my favourite since I did a track day there. No footage can describe paddock hill on you first go. Keep it rubber side down out there.
@PescaraProductions they made a clip of that? Was it RJN? Him and O Neill seem oddly scared of any accident to the point that they don't consider them a possibility. It's like they want to see the high wire act at the circus and but only if it's 2ft off the ground so there's no risk lol
@@cdname47 @cdname47 it was indeed RJN. Kinda wild considering the guys background and considering how often these things get used to actually further safety of the sport when it comes to investigations from the sanctioning body. At least some of us know where the pushback is coming from now!
@PescaraProductions But remember when gran turismo first started and they only got licences to use actual manufacturers if they promised to never show them damaged? Probably something like that behind the scenes with the organisers maybe The sad thing is, it's inevitable that it's not an if but a when something terrible will happen and the first thing the police and the health and safety investigators asks is "why are you trying to censor this, have you something to hide?" Sadly ive been through it and I know "we didn't want to show crashes" is not seen as a good defence, everything is seen as suspicious..... especially if you're a Motorsport broadcaster that tries to hide crashes from the public We know there's no dodgy reason but puritanism but crime Investigators aren't known for being au fait with Motorsport or it's practices Oh well, what can we do, they miss 90% of the stuff anyway it's only the 10% they do catch they cut. If they caught everything, you'd get less hits so maybe it's a blessing in disguise lol
@cdname47 Well already been there before with something I caught that was fatal that was hit with a 'we don't wanna know'. And as you say, its mainly cos it didnt make em look good! Its all about protecting the bottom line at the end of the day, which is sad when the lives of volunteers and customers are still (albeit thankfully not as much as the past has shown us) on the line

2:30 i was there at the paddock hill bend grandstand and that whole race was chaos. there was an oil leak before the start and the worst rain they could possibly drive in. There were trucks going off everywhere and they red flagged the race
Half of 'em shouldn't be on the roads, let alone the track........ I know we can't all be Senna overnight, but there's some proper "Deer in the headlights" car control going on here.

Im not bad at driving. By this standard of re-entering a live track after not being able to controlling your vehicle im pretty much Senna and Hill.
Seeing the older cars crash is extra painful.

Judging them by a crash compilation, every driver in Nascar, F1, Touring Cars etc. is terrible.
