Ive been trying to get into animations! but animating my ideas usually goes one of two ways- one: -Hyper fixate on one animation while also getting distracted by any smooth animations or two: -Draw the first frame, -get a new idea, -start that idea, -look to step one TvT
I'm not sure I want to get into animation, but I've already saved this video anyways. I didn't even know some of that stuff existed! Wonderful video as always, Cody!
This was such a good explanation and im gonna show this to my little sister! Shes starting to learn to animate and I had hard time trying to explain things, but you're explanation was very simple amd easy to understand. Which is really great for beginners because i find that a lot of videos that try to teach you to animate use complicated jargan and throw stuff in your face all at once. Also, since you said we could leave tips in the comments, here mine's! When it comes to animation, dont be afraid to experiment! Yes, there are set of principles in animation that help you acheive better qualilty, but that doesnt mean you have to follow them all the time (but keep them in mind because if you want to break a rule, you have to know it first). Their are lots of different animation styles out there that dont follow the principles of animation completely, but they still achieve unique cool effects that make them special! By learning what works and what doesnt works, is the best way to get better. No time is wasted if you use it to learn 😊
Oh nooo! You’ve inspired me! I’m gonna have to make an animation now 😭 In all seriousness, this video is great! Like you, I’ve done small animations, but I think I’ll try something bigger this time 👀
Been using FlipaClip for just over year now, and I had no idea it had a clipping mask feature! You're a lifesaver, thanks!
