The song is divisive for sure. I personally really enjoyed it but can understand why it would be jarring for some. I, like you, love it when groups take risks and do something different which is why I started listening to KPOP. Aespa making some serious moves in the industry.

I really love the song and i think most of the people are liking this song. There vocals and raps are so good. ❤ When I heard it for the first time i felt it was good but after listen it to 3 4 times it sounds great and Aespa is taking risks from the starting of their career so it's not a new thing. I really appreciate that.
sm is really smart with them because aespa music is really a mix between 2nd gen style & hyperpop which is a type of music that hasn't been explored yet in kpop. the general public since last year and they have been wishing 2nd gen sound & type of title tracks to comeback + aespa debuted at the exact moment the re-charting of 2nd gen/early 3rd gen songs and aespa gave them a modern version of what they have been missing in the kpop scene so no wonder their songs have been going viral & blowing up there so much. sm also knows what new kpop fans & younger fans like which is the lore behind the comebacks and all that which is what sm trying to do with aespa too so sm basically attracting both the public and the international new kpop fans, I saw many 2nd gen fans loving aespa too which isn't surprising to me. yoo young jin is also in charge of the group and he is a well-known composer/songwriter that made many iconic 1st & 2nd gen songs and the public love his work; in their album, they have a song that falls in line with songs he made for early h.o.t-snsd-shinee-tvxq so like I said it's clear sm is trying to give aespa style that mixes between older-gen music with a modern feel to it
If you listen on the b-sides of their album you can really tell that SM could've given them with a normal song they really just decided not to, they want to keep their difference on the other brands.
I absolutely love this song, every song of aespa's has hit immediately with me. The bad bitch energy of this song is everrything and it feels like I'm at the boss stage of a video game. Ningning is INSANE vocally and her parts are always my favorites in their songs, I'm excited to see her voice and talent grow. It's funny that you mentioned the NCT sound because NCT and Aespa are definitely the brother-sister group rn and most fans of the both of them overlap, probably because of that overlap in sound. Aespa's b-sides are great as well, I really enjoyed the mini album.
this came out a day after jopping's anniversary and it just makes me think. thank you sm for giving me such good nonsense. both songs make me laugh but in a good way. it's audacious, it's camp. i think all the things that are "bad" about it are just fun for me. something about going all in with the production and video and vocals with something this silly delights me to my core

This song felt very together to me. During the bridge, about halfway through it, there is like a synth-piano that is doing the "gimme gimme now" melody in a higher key. I dunno, it felt more tied together than "Next Level" - which I still liked. My only criticism of Aespa really is that I think they are too concept heavy. I love the music and how odd it is, I just don't need my groups to have some sort of odd fantasy storyline.

Winter really snatched me with that vocals in prechorus.but honestly all of her vocals part in all aespa songs is my favourite parts.her vocals is just so angelic and soothing which I really like❤️❤️

I still can't stand Next Level but I respect that they tried something different and so many people _really_ like it - which is good! Not every comeback is for every person and there's nothing wrong with that. yeah my issue with the AE isn't the concept so much as the execution. the 3d models just don't look great next to real people. the way used them in next level was so much better than here. also animating dancing is really hard so i don't have high hopes they'll get better
The album is great but as many other SM discography it is not for everyone, if you are not into weird and experimental style, especially SM style you won't like it. I personally LOVE SM style when it comes to music so I truly enjoy it.
Also, since SM adds sound effects in their videos, try reacting to audios first so you will appreciate without visuals. So you will incorporate the music afterwards to whatever visuals they will offer.

It's funny how some people's relationship to sounds are "scripted" and how people think that "difference" is somehow weird. It says alot about diversity and creativity in today's world. Why should things "build a melody"???? It's also weird how people "THINK" music and sounds and beats. So far from FEELING. People have different tastes but that does not get to other things. People cannot like everything someone else does. But this is more of a critique of how humans, in general, have a hard time with difference, and emotions and how things are separated and divisive within both oneself and other peoples and cultures, etc. nowadays.
I'm not really a fan of this song. Like there were some vocal moments that I really liked but similar to Next Level it just wasn't cohesive enough for me to enjoy it. I like Next Level better though, it grew on me a little. Also I agree with the avatars too, they look terrible. I liked the cute animation towards the end so much better.
I feel like the Aespa Hype train has left me behind. I try really hard to like those songs but it's really not for me. On the good side: the pre-chorus is beyond amazing, the chorus drop harder than my grades and i love how hard Aespa always goes. I still don't vibe with the whole AI concept. I think this song is more cohesive overall than "Next Level", i'll will listen to their mini-album cuz b-sides are always the real deal for groups. Okay so this song just isn't it for me...again. I thought Black Mamba was fine and i HATE next Level so when I heard this i made peace with the fact that aespa just wasn't going to be a group for me. Despite that, they DO have good elements in their songs like the bridge in savage and the zuzuzuzu is catchy af so I gave their Mini album a listen and even though it started with the same Sound i can't warm up to, I then got to Yeppi Yeppi and holy shit. I am glad that even if the chance exists that I might never like an aespa title track, they still can make killer B-sides for me to listen to 😆
I wouldn't mind the verses being simple, but i hate when songs have even simplier choruses/drops. The Pre-Chorus and Bridge are cool, i wanted more of those. I really dislike Next Level and this song having a similar vibe is not doing it any favors. I appreciate doing something different but both are too scattered for me to really enjoy it. I do like 'I will make you cry' and 'ICONIC' off the album. This release is a real mixed bag for me.
I totally agree with ur opinion about the CGI characters 😂 it doesn’t add much value to the mv besides looking awkward.. i would prefer if they didn’t dance at all and instead we just get really nicely rendered quick shots of the aes doing simpler movements or poses, that’d be cooler. hopefully in their future comebacks we can see an improvement in the animation 🥲

I really dislike Next Level and this song having a similar vibe is not doing it any favors. I appreciate doing something different but both are too scattered for me to really enjoy it.
I do like 'I will make you cry' and 'ICONIC' off the album. This release is a real mixed bag for me.

I totally agree with ur opinion about the CGI characters 😂 it doesn’t add much value to the mv besides looking awkward.. i would prefer if they didn’t dance at all and instead we just get really nicely rendered quick shots of the aes doing simpler movements or poses, that’d be cooler. hopefully in their future comebacks we can see an improvement in the animation 🥲
