This might be my favorite MV of the year
Its ICY by Itzy with an S and P added lol. LA filming, colorful vibes
@@chrislee3601 itzy flop cant sing like aespa
@@chrislee3601 filming in LA, colorful vibes, but spicy outsold and outdid in every aspect😂
@@chrislee3601icy sounds nothing like this babe, sorry this is literally SM maximalist music in its finest form. Handed from generation to generation from f(x) to aespa
Yeah it’s a modern take on y2k mixed with late 90’s early 2000’s college movies; their track videos goes to the same direction as well
You kind of guessed it correctly because in the mv and in the concept they are basically causing a strange phenomena and they are the only ones who are aware of things that are happening between the real world and kwangya virtual world so they are basically not afraid and confident and know how to handle things that’s why they are “spicy”
The album is great as well and you will like the concert it’s great
They also had a reality show which is super cute and fun, mentioning this just in case you want to check it out
In this my Favorite MV in This Years...🎉
Inland Empire represent! University of Redlands
hahahah the only thing you were able to muster through the whole second half of the video was "MWUaaaaaaaaaa".
I TRIED OKAY
Aespa is amazing and I’m happy they were able to win people over with this comeback because I know people had mixed feeling with their super experimental tracks. I personally loved their previous albums and I love majority of their music but it was nice to see them grow in general
I love how spicy still had their sound and felt overwhelming without the usual switch up they do for the title tracks. The song remained classic aespa to its core and the entire album is amazing from start to finish
Funfact: they had “spicy” since debut and the company waited the right time and most fitting time to release it
This has strangely felt the most personally recognisable take on y2k to me in kpop so far. The synth sold me instantly, it reminded me of the impact of the first few seconds of next level. I'm so here for aespa bringing back heavy eyeliner, please let this be a thing! Everything they've been doing since (and including) their tetris song I have been loving!
heavy eyeliner should've never went away
aespa is looking a lil too good , who was the stylist...
Idk but give them a raise and vacation
I think the main thing and lore of this music video is a strange phenomenon. that is, at the beginning we can see students and aespa girls and then we can see how someone turned on the fire alarm, and everyone began to run away except for the aespa, which means they dgaf about this phenomenon. after which when they dance in the pool we notice that there is no one in the college and they dance while the glitches occur (a strange phenomenon). then I think they had a party at which time seemed to freeze as part of a strange phenomenon, which is interesting that this did not affect the aespa at all ... are they to blame for the strange phenomenon? after we can see them on the street which looks pretty apocalyptic...
but again they dgaf, they're just eating popcorn, watching movies and dancing, pretty sus... in general, I am waiting for theorists who will completely analyze and explain the lore
I noticed while editing they're kind of rolling into town in these poofy, tumbleweed like balls resembling their colors at the end of the MV
@@KpopPrince oh, didn't notice it! i think it's connected, yeah
also, i heard somewhere that stange phenomenon might be caused by naevis entering real world and/or by all the things they did in kwangya/flat like manipulation with data, defeating black mamba etc etc etc
Filmed at the pool at Univerisify of Redlands CA
I think possibly filmed at University of Redlands in California
I've listened to this song a lot already, my favorite kind of high energy track~
The instrumental lead up to the chorus is 12/10 🔥
The scenes by the swimmingpool and several other shots were taken at the University of Redlands, which isn't too far from LA. It was a fun geolocation exercise to figure out where these images came from.
The university is in Redlands, CA. Inland Empire, Southern California.
It IS in Cali 😊
aespa is the best. 🔥
people kept saying this sounded like an itzy song which i found kind of weird. the instrumental really screams aespa to me, it's so nasty
I miss the intro tbh
I really can't like this song ;( it just doesn't do it for me. I only like the don't stop part
For me as always it's SM mess song, too loud, weird, etc....only post-chorus sound nice for me;P i guess 4th gen is making new concept in kpop Teen trash;P
Yikes. Disagree
