- “What is Monumenta?” was a question I was asked. Despite never playing the game before, I was struck with inspiration to start my adventure while simultaneously creating a video that helps other players get started!

Monumenta, a Complete-the-Monument (CTM) Minecraft MMORPG server, is a Minecraft “Adventure map” on steroids. This game has a ton of depth and tons of content for you to get through.
Featuring a class system with many spells and abilities, an insane collection of cool, overpowered items, and a ton of challenging content that progressively gets more and more interesting!-- Monumenta is kinda awesome?!
I’ve barely gotten into the game, yet I’m intrigued by the game’s depth … Will I ever reach the endgame? lol

Obviously it leaves out a fair bit of details, but you wouldn't want to overload people too much to start

the smooth transitions required 20 replaymod shots and some fanciful keyframed cropping. unfortunately, it was the first time i'd done it, and only managed to really figure out how i could do it best after it was too late. I could've restarted and done it even better but that's ok

What resource pack are you using? I’m using the official pack and most of the textures for vanilla items are different from in this video? (The pack I’m using just changes textures for custom items)

Honestly, my favorite part of Monumenta is just how much more class options you get without having to start over. The tutorial limits you to 3 (for simplicity, labs has been reworked many many times to invite new players better) , but there are now 8 classes to pick from. You should try them all out.
That's probably a big point of contention for a lot of Wynncraft players. It's a pain in the ass to play different classes due to the time it takes to grind another class up to lvl 105. Thankfully dxp bombs and mob caves have made it easier, but it's still a pain to do.
You prolly already know this, just putting this out there just in case: double right click an empty space in a chest to sort it

@@StevenPlaysMC_ Hey white is a pretty big jump in difficult from labs but they did make it a crap lot easier since now u don't drop your items when you die, they added a new grave and death system in place of the old one.

It maybe fells too vanilla for me (i dont like tridents) but yeah dungeons crawler is good
the "vanilla" aspect about it is fundamental. Despite this, they've developed a pretty interesting game!
Only the early game is that vanilla, once you get to region 2 and 3 the game gets less and less vanilla
The more you play the less vanilla it gets. Once you are at the second part it's 100% different from vanilla

Tried it, then went back to Wynncraft. Ngl there's a lot of love put into it, but it's way more frustrating than Wynncraft. Beat labs and then went to the creeper dungeon; kept dying because mobs were spawning on top of me as i was mining the spawners. The gmlameplay is more faithful to vanilla minecraft and thats a double edged sword
creeper dungeon? white or orange? the gameplay eventually gets cool but the early game is ssuuupppeerrr slow
they've been making improvements to it which is cool but not enough to solve the fundamental issues just yet

it's so damn good. i was struggling to decide on what song i should use. when i was scrolling through my music folder and saw Purple i knew immediately that it would work out pretty well. I was just concerned about how it'd sound for the bossfight... which i fixed lol

i just started playing the game and as such I don't really have much to say on this matter. Note block VS actual orchestration in the music pack is definitely an aspect that people can have opinions about. The music is *very* nice

creepers are op. i kept using them as AoE cuz it was easier than using Volley lol
Unfortunately monumenta has fallen into a very common trap plenty of other mmos have. It opens with the worst gameplay experience the server has possible and doesnt seem to care about improving it. Alchemy labs and white dungeon is just throwing new players to the wolfs and doesn't care if they know basic fundamentals such as agility vs armor. Thankfully once you get past white and unto orange you should know whats up. Its a real shame because once you get into it the server is insanely enjoyable. Most people just won't bother with it after they died 15 times to the same dungeon because the server refuses to help build new players up.
despite this, it is one of the most popular MCMMORPG servers other than HSB and Wynncraft. goes to show how far people will take it to find something different to play, and Monumenta scratches that itch. it was either that or they watched some r2/r3 endgame gameplay and decided it was worth trudging through the mucky early game lol
maybe this server wont have the only way to make money be extremely grindy and rng dependent (mad cus bad)
im not really sure what the money circumstance is, but it's an MMO so there's probably a trade market lol

The first dungeon is terrible. I saw videos of cool dungeons from this server, but I guess that’s endgame. They should put some effort in updating the early game.
yep. the major reason people end up quitting is because of the tutorial, alchemy labs, and then white. It feels aged and all of their effort is going into making more content rather than revamping the beginning. They've recently been updating Region 1 quests to make them better but that's not actually targeting the core of the issue

depends on what you're looking for. Wynncraft does RPG best out of any server, but when considering "MMORPG" as a whole-- Wynncraft is lacking. Have your opinions, but Monumenta is pretty good if you give it an honest try. Its main issue is the early game is super slow and shitty. definitely one of the worst things about the game. dungeon gameplay also isn't for everyone. the game is also challenging and lots of wynncraft players just suck so it'd make sense if it's hard transitioning-- it's why i recommend not comparing to two games (there are very large differences in gameplay). it is more comparable to being an enhanced vanilla Minecraft experience
