Long time watcher first time comment. As someone who dreams of doing this for a living and dropping my 9 to 5 I for one really like this change up in video vs a project. Thank you for sharing and love your channel. Nice to watch someone who actually does this for a living !
The way that office all snaps together with crisp tight clearances. Perfection. Can you do a run through of how you measure for installs? How much room do you leave for wavy or out of square walls, especially before trying to scribe? What are your reveals and such? I enjoy a kind of in the weeds type explanations.
Have you thought about adding a Shaper Origin to your toolkit? That and Plate would replace your jig making and are the perfect tool for work on finished work.
Nicely done. I liked the way you described setting the drawer face frames. Would like to see that in more detail in the future. Let’s go get those big projects!!
Passing thought..if you want to quiet down the compressor with some material, 4-6 inches of rockwool (mineral wool) will damp the noise very well. It's very dense and is an excellent sound dampener. Make sure the motor still has plenty of cooling air. You might install an exhaust fan on top to pull cool air through the box. The motor will get plenty hot enclosed like that.
Josh, I've been following for a while now. I really like the work flow and how you and Rowdy get things done. I've been building cabinets in New York for about eight years and I love pulling inspiration from youtubers who share the same passion. Keep it up, you guys do beautiful work! From a guy in a one car garage! Awesome shop!
A lot of folks try and avoid angling machinery for "personal aesthetics", but IMHO, it's he way to go for many machinery clusters to provide the best infeed-outfeed clearances. I have two clusters in my shop that are angled for this reason
Great vanity!! Trying to use your tips to build shop cabinets. I am doing well enough my wife wants me to do a wall cabinet system for the bedroom to replace the dresser. Thank you.
Love your channel! I notice you use American Oak a lot, would that be an expensive timber over there? Here in Australia that timber would cost us an arm & a leg to purchase.
I see your tape for your long scribe on that top Josh what did you use ? A contractor table saw or track saw ? That was long & heavy ! I hv slowed down on cabinets and doing some stair work. I really enjoy your videos brother! God Bless
When you meet with a designer going over a project, do you charge for that? Or is it already figured in your overall price? We give way too much time to designers who are asking us for our input, yet without being paid for our help. The designers are charging the client their time for design, yet we only charge for creating the product.
I do have a design fee. However on some jobs I find myself giving time away during design phase. There are some things I could chance to make sure we are getting compensated for our time

Do it ! Start doing projects and making some cash! Do it !
The best time to start was 20 years ago. The second best time to start is today.
I appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

Yeah I will probably do something like that
Those are compression fittings I believe. 😊

Sounds like you’re on a roll!
I dig this the type of vid - i was so expecting the shop upgrade to be some better dust collection :)
Hahaha. That upgrade is coming soon!
@ you have been saying since you moved into the new shop lol

Enjoyed video...
Glad you enjoyed
Odds & ends days always feel like they will be sht, but they end up being really healthy on the macro timeline of things
Have you checked out the Castle clamping table??
Excelente saludos!!
👍

God Bless
It got cut with a skill saw and fine tuned with sanding pad on an angle grinder
How do you plan on handeling the moisture issues in the air lines?
Who is your supplier for your white oak and do they ship??? Beautiful work by the way 😂
Since your installing air lines, do yourself a favor and get a hand held air sander.
What color of Rubio is that??? Love the videos my guy!
Can you do a video about how you build your upper cabinets
Yes when we get into these big projects I will show this process
@@NE_woodworks awesome! Thank you!
You should put a fan in your compressor box or the head will overheat
What type of cabinet screws do you use? I remember you mentioned it once on one of your video but i cant find which one it was. Thanks
What kind of tape pouch is that?
Hey Josh
Who makes the coping sled you’re looking to add to the shop
nice
Thanks

We charge for it here. That’s our company time! 😁👍🏻

Doing a video on the business side of woodworking might be a good idea for a future video?@NE_woodworks
