I came for the submarine murder mystery and stayed for the romance 🥰 Vigil is one of the best limited series I’ve ever watched, terrific plot and acting all round 😎👏🏽

Each season is only 6 episodes. I think it adds to the meaning to see what Amy goes through on the submarine and how it relates to her past trauma. There are some great scenes.

I feel like everyone knows what love is, it is a universal language & I feel like actors don’t have to forcefully come out in order to get a role. You get a role because you’re good, because you have chemistry, not because of your sexual orientation. I feel it is much better to get a role because you’re the absolute best choice, not just the best amongst the pool of lesbian actresses available. And I’m sure lesbians don’t want to be typecast all the time as lesbian characters either. At least this is how I feel about the matter.
@@inesreis1116 as i said both actors in Vigil are good - in the not to distant past there weren’t but very few ‘out’ lesbians - and many were guessed to be gay. Today there are many shows featuring women/women - i’d just like to see more lesbians given the opportunity to get their foot in the acting door. Until lesbians get name recognition and can show off their talent they won’t get very far. My real issue is how nit-pickey some viewers are - i watched the show for entertainment not to critique the submarine!
