Carina is very selfless when it comes to Maya. Her character is underrated at some point and I think she's the stronger person in their marriage. She's calm and perfect in a lot of ways. I hope for a good ending for these two. ❤️

I'm assuming you haven't even gone through a fraction of what Maya has been through. Lasting damage from the abuse she was put through can and will change a person, and if you love someone, your going to stay to try to help them through that.
When in love, you have to make sacrifices. From my own experience, I have learned that it's best to always check up on that person, even if they're having a terrible time because they'll appreciate having you there in the long run

This is what true love is. Carina never stopped caring for Maya, who is stubborn, dedicated, and a broken firefighter. Even when Maya would push her away, eventually she would come around to her, and when she finally confronts her trauma, she realizes how incredible Carina is to her, and that they'll both be great mothers in the future. This quote from Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting really is what Maya needs to hear: "You'll have bad times, but that'll always wake you up to the good stuff that you weren't paying attention to."

I was Marine, meritoriously permitted twice. I was a Deputy and the first female to be promoted to Sergeant. The abuse I went through as a child broke me but also made me. It’s hard to be angry at the abuse that help to make me successful. It took me a long time to repair as much of my brokenness as I could and that’s with professional help but I lost a lot of good women along the way. I’m married (for 23 yrs) and retired (25 yrs on the job) now, in my wildest dreams I never thought I’d have either. Happy endings do exist as long as you stay the course and never give up on your dreams. Im 55 and looking forward to my next achievement, I just have to figure out what I want to do next (I’m like kid again and this time I know I can conquer the world and I’m think I just might).
I am a Empath and when maya was trying to comfort Carina and show her it was ok to scream to release her emotions i could literally feel her pain the scene ended and i took a huge breath, tears started to fall 😢 i believe that emotions shouldn't be held back, you should always find a way to release. ❤

What I like about Carina is she is Giving, Open, Happy, with Boundaries. It has been a LONG time since I fell in love with a character, and she is it. Reminds me Aaliyah in Lioness, something about the eyes and smile in both of them.

She’s not, she was in denial. carina should take maya’s advice at their first meeting. She should leave at that moment because she admit that she’s broken. Carina could avoid all the broken hearts moment. I love this couple but it hurting me more whenever carina being sad and hurt caused by maya. Btw both actors were good at their job. I don’t hate them, it just their characters relationship story.

The journey to the fight, the love, the support, the commitment, the understanding, and the love they share are everything worth watching no matter how short it was. Very good story about relationship and mental health. Romantic relationship needs work especially when one or both have trauma in the past. Having a healthy mature break or space sometime is also necessary. Usually dramas show either super toxic romanticized co-dependent relationship or idealized perfect partners. This one is a bit more realistic and also hopeful.
One of my fab scenes is Maya introducing carina to the sound of the fire truck. It's like the fire screams first and then it's Maya and it's ok then for carina too

Ela não queria ficar internada e Carina aplicou o código 5150 para que ela fosse obrigada a ficar internada. E Maya terminou com a carrina por impulso e raiva. E depois , Maya foi procurar tratamento psicológico.
I can relate to this entirely. My adopted mother and my adopted father.... They were both abusive and traumatic towards me. So, I'm watching Station 19 to help teach me how to cope with my dark past. Very good story about relationship and mental health. Romantic relationship needs work especially when one or both have trauma in the past. Having a healthy mature break or space sometime is also necessary. Usually dramas show either super toxic romanticized co-dependent relationship or idealized perfect partners. This one is a bit more realistic and also hopeful.
One of my fab scenes is Maya introducing carina to the sound of the fire truck. It's like the fire screams first and then it's Maya and it's ok then for carina too
