Loved this! So many channels that I already know and love, and a few new ones I’m excited to check out. Dandelion Dynasty has been calling my name lately so this is yet another sign to get to it asap! Plus Hunger of the Gods, Emperor’s Soul, Of Blood and Fire… so many exciting future reads.
Everyone is talking about Ken Liu is absolutely killing it in terms of recommendations but Im even more impressed by John Gwyne and Robin Hobb absolutely killing it in terms of shelf presence 🤣 so many people in this video had books from those 2 on their shelves
Booktube is one of the most "close" communities on UA-cam even if you guys have never seen each other. I noticed this by a lot of booktubers. A lot of the big guys that have hundreds of thousands subscribers always shout out the smaller guys like you. Even looking at this comment section makes me so happy
And he would've made my list...but Wall of Storms and Paper Menagerie (two of his books mentioned here) made my top 5 last year 😂 He's seriously worth checking out!

One of my favourite videos of the year! My personal favourite this year was a series - The Warlord Chronicles. Almost impossible to pick a favourite from that trilogy. Or, if I have to pick a single book, The Crippled God.
Thanks for putting this together. Such a wonderful variety of favorites. I was very happy to see Anne McCaffrey getting some recognition. She's been one of my favorite authors since reading the Harper Hall trilogy in the early 80s.

Always lioe seeing multiple colab videos 😃 Interesting how “Wall of Storms” is mentioned twice. I actually bought it and the first book “Grace of Kings” a while ago because the premise sounded so intriguing. As for my favorite book of the year so far, that wluld have to be “The Fifth Elephant” by Terry Pratchett. Even though Discworld is usually a light, witty and humoresque read, this one might be the most well-rounded political intrique and heist book I’ve ever read.

Ken Liu is one of my favorite writers. I love all of his work, and can't wait to finish the Dandelion Dynasty stories. His storytelling is second to none in my opinion.

@CoverswithCassidy Please keep reading the Dragons of Pern books! The original trilogy plus renegades of Pern and all the Weyrs of Pern give you a complete story. Add in the Harper Halls trilogy to get some insight of behind the scenes happenings. Such an amazing world! I bought a book called “the dragon lovers guide to Pern” and it had a recipes for klah, meat rolls, and bubbly pies! I am such a geek I made them all!
If it's limited to books only released this year, my favorite would be Legends and Lattes. If it's books we've read this year it would be a tie between The Name of the Wind and Jade Legacy.
