Chachi, your Finnish sounds amazing! Your pronounciation is on point, and you actually correctly applied pretty complex structures in your sentences (for example 'haluan tyttäreni oppivan'). I'm really impressed, keep up the good work! In my opinion learning languages is one of the greatest treasures we as humans can discover.

Actually Spanish is not that rare language in Finland, Spain is the place where Finns (and other northern Europeans) escape the cold and darkness in winter. Been often in Spain, can't speak the language much but I survive in the Spanish supermarket :)
enceladus Spain Spanish and Mexico Spanish are actually different (: some words sound similar though! I believe the Spanish she would teach her daughter is originated from Mexico since shes half I believe (:

@@michelleee210 Guess most words are the same - you can maybe read the same books? But then you maybe use different phrases, some common words mean a bit different things - sometimes only partially, accent is different (and both countries have many dialects). And of course some words are even totally different.
@@MF175mp No, not so useful in Finland haha but they're most likely to move back to the States as the corona situation calms down a bit so depending on where you are, Spanish is very useful in the US. But I grew up in Finland and studied Spanish the 3 years of high school

Amazing Chachi! I'm so proud of you. Finnish is not easy. My Aussie husband is trying to learn. Funny, I learnt to speak English in Australia watching Sesame Street. Children's shows truly work. I didn't even know you did videos until it came up in my suggestions right now. We are off back home to Australia again soon. You enjoy your new home here in Finland.

Though the movie Minions use some Romance-like words, like mixing Spanish and Italian and making new words based on them.
But Finnish is pronounced closer to Spanish and Italian than English - so I get your association.

Other languages are awesome and they will all be used considering where you two are both from! I love it!! If you wanted to be super ambitious you could teach your kids sign language too! I love asl and babies can learn it so quick, before they can speak! Even if just for when they are really young it's a really useful thing to teach your babies to be able to communicate with them early!🥰❤
