this has become my favorite channel! I can now run two miles without stopping and every time I reach a hill I say “we ascend together” and it gets me to keep going. So thank you for creating this place for people to encourage and support one another - you’re gonna smash your Ironman! Choo choo

Cody, I’ve been disabled and using mobility aids since birth and I kind teared up when you told the story where your first thought was “I could never do that”. I feel like I think that at least 100 times a day. But something in me finally clicked. I got up and I stretched for the remainder of the video. It’s such a small thing but I CAN do that. And I’m gonna keep doing it. And idk maybe I’ll do something this year I thought I’d never be able to do-maybe not a marathon or an iron man, but maybe walking my block without stopping, or maybe riding a stationary bike for a full minute. It’s seems pitiful writing it down but I’m really actually hopeful! Anyways thanks for this channel and for being so vulnerable, and for including the emotional journey as well as physical.

No surgeries here, but have had a long recovery from injury. Stick with it. Long time runner here. Keep getting after it!

I know everyone has been saying it but I wanna add on - I just emerged from an eight month depressive episode that absolutely kicked my ass and now eight months later I'm feeling so much better and I've started looking forward to going out and moving, wether its yoga or the gym or a run, and every time I think of you and how insanely far you've gotten so like, why not me too? You're the best dude. Your impact on people stretches far and wide and I hope you know that what you do betters this world, even in silly and small ways sometimes.

    Cody,
I completely understand what you mean when you say that taking a week of rest/lighter workouts is tough. I've been lifting for the last two years and finally a few months ago I started being really consistent and making actual progress. Then I randomly started having heart problems, and while I had to get a bunch of testing done I was benched for pretty much a month. It really sucked mentally because I had gotten so far in my progress only to feel like I have to start over. My diagnosis makes it hard to do much.
Now I'm at a place physically where I can do light workouts and I can't do any intense exercise but it's a start. Also, your channel got me through a lot of those gross feelings. It's just nice to know that I'm not the only one who feels so down when I can't do much exercise. :)

thanks for the videos every week, they're my favorite thing to watch each week and love the humor and progress, currently on my own fitness journey down 52 lbs in the past 10 months, getting back into cycling and hopefully running soon

Cody, I haven’t been very physically healthy the last 2 years. I watched your ultra marathon video and a bunch on this channel and over the past 2 weeks i’ve been doing push ups and sit ups every day as well as some yoga. It’s not much, but you inspired me to at least do something. Thanks brother!

I gonna absolutely CRUSH a St Paddy’s 5k thanks to this channel 💪. By “Absolutely” I mean “slowly” and by “CRUSH” I mean “finish”. Energy really is Everything.

little train whistle key chains would be such cool merch!! I know most of us don't live in LA, but it would be legendary to own a Cody trains whistle and just blow it randomly :)
