If the lakers use him right away he maybe off the bench player. Though the Lakers also have Andrew Goudelock who proved himself well in the season and he would be shooting gaurd too, so perhaps maybe an off the bench point guard. Regardless i can't wait to see what he will bring or how he will do.
Exactly....I didn't think Goud would be as good as the highlights suggested, but he did turn out to be quite a spark for a short period of time for the Lakers. The kid can score, but his size will keep him from really being that 10ppg guy. I'm afraid that might happen with DJO right here.
actually i think goudelock has the potential to be a good solid player ..he just needs that playing time to really get ues to the court...and idk im really hoping djo will be a good pg ..because thats what we really need right now
Marquette guards always play like fowards.i hope hes working on a euro step and picking/popping up of screens.that princeton offense is a bitch these are wades specialties i hope this kid is a little like him
Honestly, you forgot how good Sessions was before his shoulder injury. He is a young player and this was his first trip to the playoffs and he drew 2 of the toughest covers in the NBA at his position in the 2 series.
Goud and Odom could provide some energy and shooting off the bench if Brown decides to actually use them, instead of sitting there and watching Blake and Sessions pass up wide open 3, after wide open 3. after wide open 3.
You have to crawl before you can walk..with some summer league and training camp under his belt he will do better...really think d. morris should do some time in the D-league so he can understand he's NOT M. Johnson.
Thats exactly what i was thinking..before goudelock got drafted i was watching some of his mixtapes and he was a total beast! shooting all those threes..but when he started playing in the nba i was kinda dissapointed in a way
I'm almost certain that the Lakers will bring back sessions. They pretty much gave up 2 firsts to get him; the pick he was traded for and the pick to get rid of Fisher to make him comfortable here
1. Sessions decided to opt out of his contract w/ the Lakers... meaning he won't be there next year. 2. We need to get rid of Steve Blake. The guy isn't producing at all. Possibly use that amnesty on him?
@zoomkobeVI he reminds me of will bynum or a poor man's dwyane wade. he's a bottom pick so my expectations aren't high but he should add explosiveness to a bench and give speedy pgs problems on defense
Why do I think Goudelock, Skyenga, Hill, Ebanks, McRob, Sacre, and this Johnson-Odom kid can actually be a solid bench for us given the chance. All that will be needed is a pass first point like Kidd but he's going where DWill goes. If only Darius Morris play to his potential SMH. If he did he would be better than Sessions imo and solidify the Lakers bench and maybe one day be a starter.
The kid has deep range! Something we need..... He is gonna have to learn to play the point being only 6'2" though.... I thought he would go earlier second. Good pick up
very useful! he can shoot and attack! but he cant paly as a shooting guard on lakers coz kobe got that so possibly he is for point guard which can be great for him
Lakers 2014 lineup PG J. Wall/Morris SG Paul George/Meeks/DJO SF Ebanks/Clark PF Gasol/Hill C Howard/Sacre We'll have so much xtra $ after Nash N Kobe retire .
I think that DJO is a more athletic version of Jameer. At this point idk how the Lakers can keep both Goudelock and DJO, they are essentially the same type of player, small, offensive minded 2 guards, lacking the ability to be a true PG. The Lakers really messed up by trading for Sessions in hindsight. They lost the 24th and 18th picks, they could have packaged them to move up or selected guys like Tony Wroten or Evan Fournier at 18, and my favorite player Perry Jones at 24
Well said mate. That was also my insights towards all that players. Though still hoping for this new kid. L4L!
Welcome to the LakeShow!
Keep them all. Don't have to choose one or the other.
This guy us perfect for pg position at l.a hope whe keep him and let blake and ramon sessions go .and keep goudelock
a shooter....Thank goodness. Just what LA needs
People talk down on Paul Gasol like he didnt average 18 points 9 or 10 rebounds and 4 to 5 ast last year thats allstar numbers
If the lakers use him right away he maybe off the bench player. Though the Lakers also have Andrew Goudelock who proved himself well in the season and he would be shooting gaurd too, so perhaps maybe an off the bench point guard. Regardless i can't wait to see what he will bring or how he will do.

Very true. DJO and Goudelock may end up battling it out in training camp to see who will be the backup unless the Lakers decide to sign someone.
lakers got a fyee PPG !!!!
Wow if the lakers dont trade Robert or Odom They'll be unstoppable. 3 seven footers Goud and Odom providing the long shots
whens he supposed to go in the draft? mid second? the knicks could use him with shump
out for 2 months of the season
Welcome to one of the best franchise in the NBA kid I hope you can make it big with the LAKERS!!!!!
lakers need to trade blake for sure..... because of his size ... he so short and his weight too ...
Maybe. Jameer Nelson is another good option as well.
