1:57 No Piety Policing please, for the benefit of both souls (It’s something to struggle with or maybe overcome it easily).
4:18 The Church ⛪️ ☦️is responsible to be The Conscious of Society, (whether it is a majority or minority within said society, it will be the Conscious)
6:43 It is not legalistic. A canon is a measuring stick, we measure 📏 our distance, our progress in The Faith ☦️
8:43 We see the ideal, (and are we reaching a little bit closer to that ideal? Are we falling off a bit and need to begin to reach once again?)
10:44 A Law is a minimum standard of requirement.
12:43 Strive, Fall, Reach a little higher. Shake off the fall.
15:45 The Hot Shot with the rules, lacking in Pastoral Sense.
17:42 Economia translates to “Household Management”
22:03 Penance for Abortion. How do we work with difficult sins?
23:17 Teaching is there to help us. Love Our Neighbor. Love God. Acting in a Spirit of Love 💕
25:20 Sometimes Love comes as chastisement.
    26:17
27:16 Getting back on track spiritually.
    *The Ten Commandments*
28:17 The 10 Commandments form the basis for Our Moral Values. It requires some discussion
29:49 What do we have as our highest value in life?
    • Money • Politics • Spouse
    31:22 Faith in The Trinity.
    2. No Graven Images
    36:11 Gulags 😞☦️
38:54 The Committee for Persecuted Orthodox Christians. (☦️Fr Arseny, memory eternal).
    40:45 Faith ☦️
“Faith is intuitive knowledge that’s spiritually discerned.”
44:38 (Be a person of integrity, a struggle)
    46:02 We fall into idolotry.
47:00 No using God’s name in a profane way. Go to church on Sunday. Make it Holy. Make it peaceful.
49:55 Honor Father and Mother. Be a Family.
    51:00 Marriage 💒
    52:06 Have A Family Evening.
    53:33 Love for Widows.
Love for Elders. Filial Obligation. Care for family.
    57:20 Ego and balance sheets.
    59:00 ❤👨‍👧‍👦👴🏻🧓🏼👵🏼
    1:00:40 Honor, Love, Respect.
🙁😢 and how we can go astray of that.
1:03:15 Love without Judging. Do not project. Don’t be hypocritical.
1:05:18 Love modeled in Christ. ❤☦️
    1:07:52 Essential Human Value. ☦️⛪️

I just want to remind the audience in the room that EVERY sound you make is picked up by the camera's microphone. The rustling of papers, the scraping of containers, etc.

I didn’t understand what was meant by conforming to the teachings of the Church when there seems to be such disparity between jurisdictions. Does it mean if one doesn’t feel aligned with the jurisdiction that they are in they should find one that does fit better?

He probably means to conform to the teachings in his jurisdiction, but I imagine he would encourage us to use discernment through prayer and education to make the best decision you can according to your situation

I wouldn’t worry too much about jurisdictions. Rather, find a good spiritual father you trust. You can find excellent spiritual fathers in GOARCH, and ROCOR. But you can find Priests and Bishops saying and doing very strange things in GOARCH, and ROCOR.. personally, from my own experience, the Ephramite monasteries are excellent, and not concerned with politics but salvation, and get mocked for being “too strict” when, in reality, they’re helping peoples souls immensely.

If we church hop to find teachings that align with out personal views, we are not conforming. It is better to stay with a church you find challenging than to find and easier path.
