This is to all GS owners: the bigass windshield on this particular bike tends to bend at high wind pressure _(at high speeds or at powerful winds coming from ahead)_ and I’ve tried all sorts of solutions to fix it with little or no success at all. The solution which worked partially was to mount a “hinge” with a knob which goes on the left side of the windshield. I can’t remember who’s selling it, either Touratech or Wunderlich. With that one I’ve fixed only half of my problem. The right side would still bend towards me. The overall situation got improved a bit but it wasn’t good enough for me. And then, providence happened... while riding in Greece in my annual +4k long trip I’ve crossed my path with an old & rugged wise owl which was riding the same bike like I was. I could tell he was part o a larger group and I’ve spotted him from afar because of his gear. Of course he spotted me too for it is common knowledge that a BMW rider is basically a walking and talking head to toe BMW gear catalogue. Harley owners know exactly what I’m talking about. As I was about to get inside the taverna I’ve passed his bike and ... _whatzthis?_ ... a tiny spot of orange above his dashboard popped into my eyes: it was a “stress ball”... one of these medium sized soft rubber (foam, perhaps?) stress balls stuffed in between the windshield and its metal rack on the right side. Lost my appetite, jumped on my bike, went to one of the sport stores, paid less than 5 euros and EVRIKA, my problem was finally fixed. It works like a charm. Actually, fuck the hinge, two stress balls on both sides would work just fine and overall it will cost less than 10 euros instead of 70. Who would’ve thought this would work?
And they did, even on UA-cam where they uploaded "full episode" of full throttle there were numerous ads selling their other shows. Man i loved On Two Wheels so much.
Thank you for all the great MC Commutes! I am going to miss coming along with you on your commutes to work. I am looking forward to seeing your new show! Your videos inspired me to get into riding motorcycles. So, I have to thank you for getting me into this amazing hobby. I commute almost everyday on my motorcycle and enjoy almost every minute of it.
Perfectly if the last fifteen miles of road into town isn't too fresh and wet, but then just keep momentum by giving distance to the follow car. The gas station across from the Arctic Oilfield Hotel can have a bit of a wait which the comfy seat and heated grips make tolerable. Wait aside, the food at the hotel is top-notch and abundant.
After giving up motorcycles for 24 years to raise a family I bought a bike last year. Watching MC commute, on 2 wheels and MC garage reignited my passion for riding. Thanks and good luck at Motor Trend.
I watched this with a cloud of depression hovering above my head, it's been 3 years since the first OTW episode I saw and I got to say I'll miss you guys a lot. From your great chemistry with Ari and enthusiasm on motorcycles, I just don't know if it will ever be the same. The best of wishes all the way from Zimbabwe 👍
This made me almost as sad as putting my bike away for the winter, but if moving to motortrend allows you to keep making great content and pay the bills I totally get it. Good luck!
I lived in east side Costa Mesa for decades and I never crossed Irvine and found myself on the Dalton Highway. I just found myself on the back bay trails.
Zack ... I'll miss these commutes a lot, but I'm grateful you saved the best for last. Thanks for putting them together, and best wishes on the your future projects. I'm sure you'll do well.
GS stands for Gelände Strasse, which translates to land and road. Having ridden radical sports bikes for over 35 years, I’m now on my second GSA - currently have the one featured, but in triple black. No roads like those here in the UK, but as I live in the south of England I hop over to France and the rest of Europe for my fixes. It’s not like my S1000RR, but it’s far more capable than it ought to be. Add to that, I can now carry luggage effortlessly and I get the chance to see the scenery. A new way of motorcycling for me, and I’m liking it. 👍
I loved this series! I actually live in Rovaniemi Finland and my real commute to work takes me just past the Arctic circle just about every day, during summer on a Kawasaki ER5. I will always enjoy watching MC Commute and it's really helps me to enjoy whatever time I have on a bike, be it to work or beyond!
Thank you Zack! You have been a true and very informed sport. A scholar and a gentleman as we say here. Continued success in your new ventures, and thank you again. Slainte!
I have loved watching everything you and Ari have done, and I eagerly anticipated each new episode. This, despite the fact that a) I don't own a motorcycle, and b) I haven't been on one since I was a passenger on my cousin's Honda CB 100 in the mid-1970s. But you and Ari (with assists from Ryan F9 and Kevin Morris at MCRider) have really stoked my interest in motorcycling. Given that you' both have said that attracting new riders is one of your goals, I think you can both proudly say: Mission Accomplished.
My 14 year old son and I met Zach on this ride in Coldfoot Ak on the way to Deadhorse. Passed each other back and forth for a couple days. seemed like a good dude and a great rider. Cant wait to see what's next for him. The guy on the KTM at the end of the video let me ride his bike, pretty bad ass.
Thank you for the many wonderful MC Commute rides, Zach! I'll sure miss you and Ari on Motorcyclist. It's been a great time these past years. Thanks again, guys!
I didn't expect this to be hosted by Zack. And it brings a great start of the day for me when I see him in this video. Thanks Zack and Ari for the great great contents. Good luck!
I was late to the MC Commute party only finding you last year, but it’s been a great watch, thanks for taking us along with you, good luck with the new stuff!
Epic ride. Should have named this episode "There and back again" Great bookend to a fun moto series. Lots of people could do a commute show but only a guy like Zach could make it something everyone immediately jumps on UA-cam to watch.
VERY nicely done, Zack. Your demeanor and communication skills are excellent. No BS. Just a very clever and well done video. ...And I own a 2018 GSA, so I couldn't agree more with your assessment. All the best!
After watching Zack's review of the Kawasaki Versys X-300 the next day I went and bought the bike. So far I loved every mile I put on it, mostly commuting. I loved the simple and right on reviews they provided. I will miss them a lot.
Like magic it's clean again. It would appear no bunnies we're harmed in this video! Thanks for all the great commutes. You will be missed here on the MC Commute. Your predecessor has large riding boots to fill.
Gonna miss these thanks for the awesome surprise zach these have been so awesome and were sole source that educated me on motorcycles which are now a passion of mine tbh so thanks
Zack, you and Ari are the best in the business and I’ve truly enjoyed this series. I’m sad that MCC, MCG and OTW will no longer be a part of my UA-cam. Best wishes to you and Ari on your new endeavour.
Rode a 2018 R1200GSA at Rawhyde Adventures last month. Absolutely love the bike and learning to ride off road on such a large beast...want one but may wait for the 1250 GSA. Going to miss your reviews...wish you the best on your new adventures.
You did great work with the mc commute series. I will always remember that sketchy slide with the goldwing in the parking lot. Best wishes in your future endeavors!
Its been amazing following you Zack!!!! Super keen to see you on the new channel where I hope you'll continue with these awesome commutes... Best of luck!!!
Great episode, even if it was about what is considered in Germany as the un-coolest motorbike which only old people ride. Really going to miss you Ari and Zack and all your shows. You have been a huge source of inspiration!
Thank you Zack, thank you Ari, you guys are awesome and I am sad to see you guys go. I might not be able to follow you to your new endeavors but I wish you both all the best! Stay awesome, cam out.
Thought I'd add that I bought the same exact red R1200 GSA today, I looked at 'em all, and went with ol' tried and true. Expensive bike, but I didn't want to make an expensive mistake. This bike is truly in a class by itself. I must say that Alaska trip seems long on miles and short on smiles. Barren, cold, little trees, plenty of not much, really. Blah? And, no marching band on your arrival to dead Horse. Would you do that trip again? I just saw a video on a guy that rode to Guatemala from the U.S. to an active volcano. That looked amazing. Will miss your reviews, Zack.
Zach hope this is a great move for you guys. Really enjoyed all of your vids (even if you didn’t really get the Fat Bob). The R9T Scrambler in NY, the Monster lost in Monte Carlo, and your crazy Gold Wing track day comparison were real treats. Looking forward to your next posting wherever I find it. Happy riding.
My biker heart crashed to the floor when you said "my last MC Commute"... As happy as I am fot Zack and Ari I still say I like other bikers across the globe will miss you guys... However let the goodtimes roll and will meet you on the other side... Ride hard and safe....
well this is depressing. here's hoping we all still have a way to enjoy your new show(s) from the free side of the pay wall. regardless, this channel has taught myself and many others countless lessons. wishing you and Ari all the best. thanks for the years of amazing free content
17:32 I want that. :| Thank you for the fantastic free content while it lasted! Your videos got me into motorcycling, and your Versys commute convinced me to pick that one. See ya on the other side!
God damn I'm gonna miss this series
Potty mouth!
Well another nice video include with this guy reveal the true gs capability.
ua-cam.com/video/2b0su4eHjz8/v-deo.html
I already miss these videos
You know they´re doing all the stuff over at motor trend now. They´re not quitting. They are changing platforms as far as i heard
So sad to see you leave. On two wheels has always been my very favorite motorcycle series ever. I’m gonna miss you guys! Wish you guys all the best
19:24 Rides the entire Dalton Hwy and then avoids a parking lot speed bump. Classic.
Doesn't want his stuff in the panniers to be banged up and tossed around. :D
BMRTV 🤙

When in doubt, whip out a couple of balls, and problems disappear.
Well, I’ll give it a try. 🧐👍
😞gonna miss these episodes. Good luck with whatever comes next.
Gonna miss you Zack!!! It’s not going to be the same without you guys!!!
You will be missed Zack, take care.
A great way to finish an enjoyable series! Thanks for all the MC commuting fun Zac and good luck wth your new gig.
I swear MotorTrend ruins everything...
And they did, even on UA-cam where they uploaded "full episode" of full throttle there were numerous ads selling their other shows. Man i loved On Two Wheels so much.
I really, really enjoyed this 🎥
Thank you for all the great MC Commutes!
I really hate to see you and Ari go. You didn’t mention how well the GSA handled rush hour traffic along the Dalton highway and downtown Deadhorse.
All the best to you and your chum, going forward Zack. We will miss your "commute" videos. Ride safe, travel far, do it soon.
Thanks for all the reviews, you ended with the best bike. Best wishes from Sydney Australia
Sad to see you leave :(

Been watching MC Commute for a while and I love it. Please Zack wherever you end up keep the commutes coming. Thanks for everything.
On the dirt, no hand, cruise control.... the Master is among us!
Zack You have given one of the best motorcycle series ever with one best last BMW episode. We wish you best of luck for the future.
Good luck, Zack 💜
MC Commute was my all time favorite series. You will be sorely missed.
This series was the main reason I got into motorcycles and became a rider. Thank you.
On Two Wheels, MC Commute and MC Garage were what got me back into motorcycling, I’m gonna miss these series, best of luck with new venture guys!
Zack ... I'll miss these commutes a lot, but I'm grateful you saved the best for last. Thanks for putting them together, and best wishes on the your future projects. I'm sure you'll do well.
Popped a wheelie in a blizzard and lands it in sunshine, haha super kool.
You both deserve every bit of success headed your way. Sadly I won't be able to follow that journey, but thanks for everything.
I enjoyed all your MC Commutes all these years. Sad it’s the last one, but wish you the best in your future reviews at the new place.
Gonna miss this so much. Thanks for all the rides Zack. Good luck for your next endeavours.

One last commute...
Gonna miss you dude, you've been great to watch! Always so helpful and insightful!

This feels like the last day of school... Saying goodbye to good friends.
Take care guys, thanks for all the great content.
Thanks for all the commutes, so long and thanks for the fish. 👍👏
Thanks Zach you did an awesome job, a truly fantastic way to review the latest motorcycles with great humour. Well done.
This series is the reason that I started watching this channel. Real world use of bikes, the way I would use 'em 😎🇨🇦
I didn't expect this to be hosted by Zack. And it brings a great start of the day for me when I see him in this video. Thanks Zack and Ari for the great great contents. Good luck!
My favorite MC commute yet. Will miss you gents.
It really hit home when he didnt back it in to the parking lot. Gonna miss seeing you guys on this channel, cant wait to see where you end up next!
Great review of the R1200GSA. One of the best reviews of this particular bike ever. Cheers to your life after MMC!
I was late to the MC Commute party only finding you last year, but it’s been a great watch, thanks for taking us along with you, good luck with the new stuff!
Very cool - a great final episode! I'm looking forward to your new venue.
Epic ride. Should have named this episode "There and back again"
Great bookend to a fun moto series. Lots of people could do a commute show but only a guy like Zach could make it something everyone immediately jumps on UA-cam to watch.
Great presentation from you on a versatile MC. Good luck in the future. Thanks for all your post .
What a great & very cool and relaxed video. No annoying music and effects, just great. Cheers.
VERY nicely done, Zack.
Your demeanor and communication skills are excellent. No BS. Just a very clever and well done video.
...And I own a 2018 GSA, so I couldn't agree more with your assessment.
All the best!
Thanks Zack. I'm going to miss these but you're leaving with your best one yet. Good luck on your new adventure.
Goodluck in MotoTrend Zack!
Gonna be waiting your new episodes in there with Ari of course!
Always love the wheelies! Haha
Going to miss these videos. I’m very impressed by both your skill and how stable the GSA is. Riding no hands up the Dalton. Your a braver man than me.
What an Awesome MC Commute to end with! I will miss this series as well.
We'll miss your MC commute videos! Great job so far and good luck on your future endeavours!

One of my favorite motorcycle series on youtube. Adios amigo.
This was the best "Ride to the office" with that little detour over the North Pole.
Good luck Zack!

Thanks for Everything ZACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a shame these videos are coming to an end. I loved watching this! The sensation of freedom is awesome!

Saddest thing is that we still doesn't have the S1000 single R commute video
Thank you Zack for all of your commutes.. Ride safe!
Loved this series. Best of luck and wishes to you Zack! Many thanks for all of the reviews.
Great episode, even if it was about what is considered in Germany as the un-coolest motorbike which only old people ride. Really going to miss you Ari and Zack and all your shows. You have been a huge source of inspiration!
Your vids have been enjoyable and helped me immensely
I purchased a bike you reviewed recently and Love it!
Thanks Zack!
GL on your new endeavor
I love how you did that! Glad to see you on other channels.
Thank you Zack, thank you Ari, you guys are awesome and I am sad to see you guys go. I might not be able to follow you to your new endeavors but I wish you both all the best! Stay awesome, cam out.
Sad to see you go, thank you for all the great videos and articles.
This was one of the coolest videos you guys have done. I would never buy a bike like that, but it was awesome seeing you ride it through Alaska!
Good luck to you Zach.
