The Tygar refers to the stone on top of the cap. The full name of the fragrance is La Gemme Tygar I believe and it is in reference to the stone. Personally this is one of my top scents. Absolutely love it. But I agree, crazy expensive.
Thank you for this comment. This is like the fourth or fifth review of this I've watched and none of the reviewers makes the connection. Even the folks who really talk about the packagaing don't mention the tiger's eye. I guess folks don't know what it is.
I’ve been a fragrance collector for over 20 years but I must say the high end brands have crossed a price threshold into being downright absurd. And they seem to be doing price increases every time I turn around. I do like Tygar, it’s very well done but in the US it’s $400 after tax. I just don’t like any fragrance enough to justify that cost. How much money could they possibly have in the raw materials? Aren’t they mostly using synthetic molecules nowadays? I understand why some natural materials have a high price due to limited supply and whatnot but I don’t think that’s the case for most modern high end brands. I recently fell in love with LV Symphony but I after hearing the price, I couldn’t put the bottle down fast enough. 😂 I understand they need to make a profit but the greed seems to be off the charts in so many corporations now. I don’t care to support it.
I only do fragrance subscriptions now, I wear too many perfumes to buy full bottles most of the time. I did fall in love with Meliora and I found it for half off on Aurafragrance. I plan to get Valaya as well when I can find it for a discount. I’m on the fence with Kirke. I love it but not sure if I’ll wear it often. How about yourself?
I just received L’Immensité two days ago! It skyrocketed to my new #1 signature scent…and it lasted 12 hours on my skin! That is a rarity, but I think the note of Ginger reacts positively with my skin and keeps the chemistry of the fragrance together. I don’t know how else to explain it. Nishane’s ANI is the same way. It has Ginger and lasts 12 hours on me. Very few fragrances last longer than 4 hours on me. Price wise? Expensive, but it was a gift, so no complaints here!

I agree that Tygar is a bit too expensive, but it's cheaper than Aventus and not much more costly than PDMs like Sedley / Percival and Greenley, which are all great albeit less unique than Tygar. For me it's a masterpiece ✨️ You can also get Turathi Blue for a fraction of the price which is about 90% similar albeit using lower quality materials.

I’ve smelled tygar for the first time today and I can’t help but to draw comparisons to L’homme ideal cologne. Tho Tygar is more citrus heavy and ideal cologne is a bit more creamy from the almond
I must be naturally anosmic to Tygar.I get a burst of a nice but 1D grapefruit with a touch of ginger, then ambroxan takes over. It’s all gone in 2-3 hours. I’ve no problem with the price, I just don’t feel anything from this fragrance; I can’t grip it in my mind. The invisible fragrance seen by others only!
Alexandria fragrances black panther smells literally identical and costs $60usd…usually I don’t like clones, but tygar is obnoxiously overpriced for what it is.
@@gimmepenaltyThey’re not in the same ball park. They smell somewhat similar due to the ambroxan but sauvage EDT is very peppery and Tygar is citrusy and fruity. Again, they’re not exactly comparable, they just share one note.
There's not a clone in the history of fragrance that's ever "literally" the same as it's influence. Unless they've used the exact same materials in the exact same formulation and if they didn't wouldn't be $60. People have said nearly half a dozen clones of Aventus are the same and they're just as wrong. With respect, no matter how close a clone gets they will never be as good as the original.
