I JUST got a sample of Althair two weeks ago, so it was amazing to see this review pop up! I agree, and think this is an extremely likeable, vanilla-forward fragrance, that almost everyone will find appealing...which means the fragrance-snobs in the community will hate it! XD From my experience, I actually prefer Pegasus Exclusif over this, and I know they're two very different fragrances, but I really get a lot of almond out of the heliotropin in both Althair and Pegasus Exclusif, so my brain just goes to the latter in preference; I like the darker, metallic almond scent more, apparently. Anyway, thank you for another fantastic review, Aaron! Oh, and, yes, I think it's extremely safe to say we all would be excited for an ATH vanilla fragrance

I think if they do an exclusif or elixire version of this, it would be more spicy and ambery… maybe even a little coconut would be nice. As an unber driver, when i put up the vanilla and coconut Christmas trees at the same time, people go crazy. They love it. They say it smells like a beach vacation even though we’re in the desert. But now I do fragrances in places of air fresheners. And people do like things like YSL Y, Lanui di lhomme, creed centaurus, MFK Gran soir…

I went to John Lewis to sample some PDMs and buy Layton on Black Friday, and went home with a bottle of Althaïr as I couldn't stop smelling my hand where I sprayed it. Layton is still my all time versatile fragrance, but Althaïr, for a vanilla fraghead, is just pure overkill bliss! It's creamy, it's spicy, it's delicious but not overly sweet to get you diabetes. Althaïr is a very strong recommendation!

I have yet to find a PDM fragrance that I like. I've only tried Layton, Herod, Greenley, Carlisle, and Percival. They are definitely long-lasting, powerful fragrances that do get compliments, but they all give me a headache.
@lexusgs2672 besides both having vanilla? Not at all. This is beautiful clean vanilla with elegance, club black has an off-putting cloying syrup-y quality which keeps lingering and makes me nauseous. Really wanted to love it, but resold mine instantly. Althair is a different ballpark.

Took awhile for this PdM to grow on me, but I very much like it now. Layers very easily as well.
Its almost as if it has an illusionary mint feel. It has a cooling effect to it which i find interesting.
