      Police have got a duty to protect their reputation because by gaining the approval of the local communities they can much more easily enforce laws, promote prevention and advocacy. This is a loop that eventually benefits the country as a whole and lowers down crime. That is why is doubly shocking that a crime is committed by one of them, not because the crime in itself is not deemed important.

      Worrying bit too is how normal for policemen to have previous charges - as much as 8 in the case of this monster it seems - and still being able to keep working? How many others working with charges of any kind ? Why wasn't he flagged up? Is the law permitting this?

    Officers rushing to arrest him, when in fact officers sat outside Couzens address for a hour before entering, during this time Couzens factory wiped his mobile phone.
    I does look like he was tipped off.

      He's a police officer. He knows what police officers look for, so he knew what he had to do to try and cover his tracks.

      Well there was a bunch of them on a whatsapp group with couzens sharing nonce images and snuff material, so yes its possible someone would be looking out for him

      But why 45 min before arrest. He could have done the wiped out one day or more before and still leave no trace on his phone of anything he had done related to Sarah

      @@bensims7501I’d suggest that the police should have followed their own facking selection procedures to ensure that he wasn’t recruited
      And then acted on the numerous times that his behaviour was brought into question
      And possibly not all closed ranks around him until he finally went too far and they couldn’t keep the pretence up any longer

    The law is so vague, police have absolute power in every situation. If something does come up, they then investigate themselves. Conflict of interest to say the least 😂

    Why the surprise, not the first serving police officer to kill a woman after his colleagues ignored the warning signs, the Jill Bluestone case springs to mind.

    Knowing how the police like to stick together and cover up for one another it must have been quite a blow to them to find that in Couzens case it would be quite difficult to do that.

    This was horrific but why is this suddenly being dragged up again? We all know he was despicable and was caught and sentenced like he should be. Is there more to this story? I always had a feeling they both knew each other and it wasn’t totally random, she was out during lockdown at night alone leaving a friends place when no one should’ve been, he happened to be out as well when no one was meant to be either. Poor girl

    What we seem to overlook or we accept and then overlook that the whole sticking bunch of them are either involved in these horrific, inhuman crimes, or they enable their gang member mates to carry out and getaway with these horrific crimes.
