Funnily enough I did this with Man City, hogging guys that aren't going to play, sell them low but whack on high amounts for the next sale. For me it would work buying them back down the line too 😅
Rant: local clubs also can straight up ask for huge amounts of money for youth transfers eg. 300k But you can negotiate it to Zero and no strings attached deals, as they just want to see if you accept a bad deal to scab money from richer clubs. (Really good game coding there)
You could sign players who still have a contract if there worth £0 back in fifa 12 and 13 you offer the club £0 they will accept nothing and then you sort of the wages done free players you could get 82 rated 36 year old Nesta for free in season 1 with his value rising despite him declining to the low 60s or you could as you know in fifa 21 get buffon for nearly nothing £1 you can also pick up younger players for £0
I decided to start a free-transfer save after watching your Plymouth series but with Tranmere. I've been doing this already, and they will actually accept lower percentages sometimes as well. It depends if they really do want shut.
had some difficulties with this as I tried it with only the transfer listed players. I would offer £0 and 50% sell on fee. Then they would ask for money aswell. What do I do?
It is a great tip and I subscribed. ;) One thing I was thinking about: does it work better in the EPL? Because the value of the player is more likely to go up in the Premier League than anywhere else. It probably works in many places but perhaps less effectively in lower leagues or worse nations as the perceived future value of the player might be lower in the future for the clause to be looking promising for the AI team?
Yeah I’d agree with you and would assume the same thing. The players that I’ve been able to sign this way have tended to have been from the same league and I’ve been in the prem so I would say your theory probably checks out.
@@AdeAkis I think you missed my point. I said in his save he's not signing players for money anyway so even if he sells them, he doesn't need the money for transfers so he can afford to give them half of it
Man that's not even a free transfer...So the same can apply if I offer another team 0 money in transfer fee but add 50 mil to future fees as well, like champions league win, even a top eleven bonus...
I think it depends on the player you sign. Wonderkids would most likely cause you to lose out on potential earnings while the more senior and developed players would actual make sense doing this. Some examples for you or anyone who needs one: Wonderkid that could be bought for 12M but used the "free" method. Eventually sold for 50M. Transfer Profit would be 25M instead of 38M. However, if he flops, gets injured and doesn't grow into the player projected to, or every FM players' dream, a new hot wonderkid from South America appears and you want him instead, you don't miss out on much. Older player example: Player aged 24 valued at 10M, signed for "free". Plays for the club and reaches the age of 28. This could lead to a lot of scenarios. Either your club has developed enough to point that this player is either not needed, a back up, or still finds regular playing time. Most likely wouldn't miss out on too much often. Either you sell a back up/not essential player closing in on the scary number that is 30 in FM while reducing the club's wage bill while losing out on a few million, or you have a player that has a consistent role in your team. All depends
Good idea. Shame the game is terrible these days- really seems geared up to make you use the power ups, takes too long to scount and sign players so you're guareteed to miss the window without 'abolish transfer windows', cant get a work permit for anyone and every club gets half the money they would in real life. Meanwhile the gameplays too easy anyway nothing like the old FM

Another great video as always. Keep up the good work mate
I can't wait to try this out, I've subscribed. This is amazing!

can't tell if you're being sarcastic but it's pretty realistic don't you think. The exploiting rich clubs part not the negotiating to zero bit.
I wasnt aware of this and will try it, but im already subscribed :) Great vid as usual mate.
Another great tip - 10 out 10 for the Clayts.

Yes Clayts love this so much. You’ve inspired me to do a free transfer save. Up the ice room!
Yesssss mate!
That is a great tip well done Clayton
I didn't know this Thanks for the video keep it up💯
That's the very useful tip of buying the players for free. Thank you.

Yep exactly that!
Can you buy out the clause later when you have more spare £££?
I found this useful, thank you!
Thanks for the tip 👍👏💪

make the 0 money non-negotiable
You can lock the £0 offer, to see if they’ll accept. Doesn’t work every time though
Does this work with league 2 clubs in England?
can't believe this worked!
Madness!
not working for my saves..how?
I will be using this. A lot.
Actually useful
Consider me hooked 🎣
Reel them in, reel them in…
It is a great tip and I subscribed. ;)

Sneaky sneaky.... 🤓
You will regret this when a future club bids 80mil for that player in the future
he doesn't buy players for money anyway so it doesn't matter
@@Jur1_00 Lol yes it does . Percentage of next sale

@@Jur1_00 Okay got it now. But as the advice is to people playing regular saves....people need to be warned
Also not true to be fair. It’s basic economics and there’s a reason this type of deal actually exists in real life.

When did I say it was a free transfer
@@Clayts So, my bad, because in your Plymouth videos you say only free transfers, currently watching it, haven't watched it yet.
You're losing out on a lot of money though, which doesn't matter for you with your type of save, but I'm very hesitant to adopt this XD
You’re not losing out on any money though (if you otherwise wouldn’t be able to sign a player)

Off to sign Joelinton
yeah your right its not a hack. Its actually a common practice in real life
Yeah absolutely!
This is the best worst thing I have ever seen.
