    Are there any players you have signed that TOTALLY underwhelmed?

    • @RossPH1
      @RossPH1 3 роки тому

      Andre Wisdom was solid enough for me in League One with Sunderland, but went to heck once I was promoted. He did not cope with the step up in leagues at all, and his attitude when I criticised his form led to me selling him within 6 months of promotion.

      So far Ansu Fati for 80m for United has been shocking in his 1st season. I even play he's now behind Rashford, Sancho, Shoretire and Elanga. He's played 12 games 0 goals and just 1 assist with an average rating of just 6.53. When he signed he'd come off the back of a 10 month injury at Barca and had also been injured for 3 months over the Xmas period for me. I'll give him one more season as I've altered his training etc if not he's got to go lol.

    You could have genuinely renamed this list to players who have high injury proneness on the whole.
    What about players with low professionalism? Professionalism is one of the key drivers of player development.
    Weston McKennie for example has 7 for professionalism, Matheus Cunha and Riyad Mahrez have 9, Matteo Guendouzi, Marcelo Brozovic and Ousmane Dembele have 8, Leon Bailey, Julian Brandt, Niklas Sule, Bernardo Silva and Luka Jovic have 10.
    All of the above are potentially elite level players who A) probably won't reach their potential unless already close to it like Bernardo, B) won't train well and C) won't be good mentors.
    Any new FM players would probably still buy these players because ordinarily they are fine to the average player. However, if you play the game basing a squad around positive personalities like I do, none of these would fit the bill whatsoever.

    • @rishoo700
      @rishoo700 3 роки тому +1

      Yeah and also these are stuff that we can know just by scouting the players they could have instead made a video where they show players who seem to be really great with very good attributes as well but just don't work in the match engine and then it would have been a much better list of players to avoid

    • @fmscout
      @fmscout  3 роки тому +1

      Some of the players in the vid have a lack of professionalism and other issues as well, we just don't want to spoil values for people that are hidden. Barco f example, about 6-7 problems with him. Prof, con, pressure, controversial, slow to adapt, low decisions and to top that off he is inj pro. They were picked as players to avoid on the whole, even though just some things are mentioned and shown in game. The players you are mentioning, I don't think many expect them to develop a lot but training ofc is an issue, as is rapid decline when old.
      Those hidden are also stuff that can be mentored for many players, maybe not all the ones you mention, but again that's one of the reasons we stayed away from divulging it. Injury proness and consistency can't, so that is worse and why we mostly focused on that.

    • @fmscout

      @@rishoo700 People don't use the scout reports enough, you guys have to remember that not all vids we do will fit expert players. We have to fit a lot of different audience groups when it comes to FM, that' just how it is.
      People can find tactics on sites, and wonderkids using editors.. Not much in this game that's hidden.
      That said, we could do different episodes of this, there sure are a lot of players to pick from.
      But for every player we say ain' working, some guy comments "he scored 200 goals for me"... ;) So.. We can't please everyone.

    • @rishoo700
      @rishoo700 3 роки тому

      @@fmscout I didn't mean to criticize you guys and I agree when I started playing even I didn't go look at the scout reports I would just check the attribute graph and make a decision based on that so it's a pretty useful video for beginners. I was just suggesting an alternative video where you can show more players to avoid who might seem good but don't work in the match engine.

    • @xViperSGx
      @xViperSGx 3 роки тому

      @@fmscout The younger ones, like McKennie you'd absolutely expect to develop further. But when professionalism is that low and with a relatively high reputation, players like that won't develop on the premise that they won't actually benefit from mentoring unless you never play them - even then, mentoring is very slow anyway this year. You'd need at least 6 or 7 'training reports' about personality changes to actually see a good turnaround in professionalism and even then, it's random which attributes change.
      You argued professionalism can improve, likewise, consistency can over time, albeit slowly. My point is though, just loosely mentioning low professionalism in general terms won't hamper someone's gaming experience rather than sharing the number. It's just a fixed variable in the game even if it is 'behind the scenes'.

  • @EGWL93

    TBH, players labeled with "Might Have Problem With Injuries" or "Susceptible".
    I don't see them injured that often. It is the duration of their injuries which is much more concerning. Minor injuries are part and parcel of the game, usually before the next match they'll be fine.
    Major injuries are those kind that puts the player out for more than 3 months, which you need to be concern of.

    • @MrShadowRaiden
      @MrShadowRaiden 3 роки тому +1

      i think the "might" and "susceptible" players are still worth a go if they arent going to be your whole transfer budget if its some cheap buy then go for it as it probably means their injury proneness is around 10ish so sure they could have a bad injury or pickup a few knocks but if you handle their training correctly could also never have any injury problems in their career.
      even a player with 1 injury proneness stat can end up getting a lot of injuries

    I like to take a gamble with most of these injury prone players IF i'm managing a topclub and could get them for a bargain. The sports science works very well in FM and if you keep a close eye on injury risk and matchload, you can usually nurture them pretty well trough a season. Even if they do get injuries more often, it doesnt always mean they are out for months or weeks, sometimes it's only a few days so they are ready for the next game. And it's something you can more or less calculate, that they won't be available for 20 games in a row. But not many players are anyway so rotation is never a bad idea. The inconsistancy is a much bigger danger that is way more unpredictable or avoidable imo.

    1) Riccardo Calafiori - Tried both with Udinese 3 seasons and Fiorentina 2 seasons, average 6.4 but with huge errors on key matches. Better go with Mattia Ruggeri, after 1 season worth 80M and 7.22 average. A rock on the left wing.
    2) Mauro Icardi - Tried after one first great season with Sassuolo in which we conquered Champions League by 4th place in serie A, 4-2-3-1 with Raspadori striker. Since Scamacca never convinced me, I tried to sign Icardi for his european experience by putting him striker and Giacomo TS. Now, that doesn't mean he can't work, but if there are some players that it's risky to sign in FM22, then he is one of them.
      It also depends on how you do and how he plays. If one always wins games, he always plays, there are no problems with dynamics etc then for sure he can be a good player. So can Phil Jones.
