Believe it or not, this is a normal version of Bjork you saw on stage. This isn’t the only song she sings some of the lyrics in gibberish, or as I like think of it, Bjorkonese. It’s her own language.

Her voice is just supernatural! She was struggling with painful nodes in her voicebox and throat during this concert and still was a perfectly in tune powerhouse. She has since had surgery and is singing and feeling healthy again

She slides Icelandic in there - when she says "með þér" basically means "with you"
@1:57 "me and my here after". It's not really gibberish if you've heard the studio recording. Also, her accent can make words like "human" sound like "shoemen". She's also great at improvising in jazz, so she will often sing percussively. One thing is for sure, she's not trying to create a "deep" understanding of the song during this performance.

The lines that your lyrics describe as "gibberish" is actually Icelandic. She sings "með þér aftur" which translates as "with you again". She often adds icelandic into her lyrics (as do Sigurrós btw) because sometimes it fits better into the melody she's going for...

We need more Bjork reactors (not new, been here a while). I have several CDs. True artist. Lives in her own world and tries to convey it to others. She never has the style that's in favor at the time. She grew up singing into the Icelandic wind. It shows in her style, bouncing between head resonance and belt. Many great songs, but if you want an oddball, her song and official vid for "Triumph of the Heart" is out there. She had a bunch of Icelandic artists record random sounds, composed them into a song and shot a video with them. Took an impressive face-plant in it too.
I love your literal stand on the videos you review. You always come in blindly to these live videos without knowing the premise or the personality behind the artist or how they perform their music. But somehow it makes sense!
The Icelandic pronunciation of her name rhymes with "work" actually, not "pork". It's how she pronounces it.

Love Bjork! I got to see her when she was still in the Sugarcubes! They were one of the openers for U2 in the early 90's! The other group was Public Enemy! I saw it in Oakland and it was a strange amazing show!

If you’re interested in human behavior - there is a playlist on the Stanford UA-cam channel for almost an entire course on behavioral biology (they left out the lecture on biology as it relates to how religious a person is - but you can find that lecture too). The professor is a guy named Robert Sapolsky and he drops a lot of very interesting knowledge in the class.

I think it should react to a song of hers called All is full of love specifically the video with the robots in it.
The concepts of good and evil don't exist outside of human perspective really. Are humans naturally competitive or cooperative is another way to ask the question. Clearly, we are more cooperative than competitive, or we wouldn't exist as we currently do. Nomadic tribes of sociopaths millions of years ago would have just died off and humanity wouldn't be a species. However, that drive for domination exists as well, and is powerful. And if it wins, we won't be a species for long.

Heavy Metal Guitarist here, yeah I went through my (crazy Bjork phase}; only then can you come to realize that this 'little girl' is brilliant, she's definitely a phenom, and incredibly innately musical. However, still, you may have some trouble telling your friends that you like her work; so we'll save that (Brad...) and keep it Quietly (no pun intended) packed in the back of your mind, trust me, it can get pretty ugly. Bjork never became to the States even after a great album, so American's never got must experience

Oh and taking me back to 1994 where I went to a restaurant here in Germany and the waitress was the spitting image of Björk, only taller and built like the proverbial shithouse. She had a ring on it.
It's not pronounced "byork" either. That's just the most common mispronunciation. It's pronounced "byerk."
Your observations are very astute but you’re overthinking it on this one.
While Bjork’s lyrics are usually deeper than the surface might show, she’s full of humor and just plain lovely weirdness and uniqueness that can be over analyzed sometimes.
Her Icelandic accent is also very strong so “gibberish” simply meant that the translator’s attempt to inject lyrics were weak.
For example,
the following lyrics near the beginning of the song:
“ There’s definitely, definitely, definitely no logic…to human behavior. But yet so, yet so irresistible…” we’re labeled gibberish.
Obviously, not so.
An innovative and UNIQUE artist to say the least.

I think this live version feels more awkward because the pacing of the song is rushed in comparison to the album track I think. As for how the concept of human behavior is quantified, I think the answer is quite obvious: in gibberish.
To over generalize humanity, I'd say "primitive" man followed a basic level simple logic...do what is needed to survive. In modern society, definitely definitely very little logic in our overall behavior.
I think Bjork started off with depth and over the years has dived down even deeper. But do some more early stuff for now...Joga, Bachelorette or Army of Me.
