Was coming here to say this. Under “parenting” where it would say discipline it says encourage. And it counts!
I literally came here to say that. If you pause and queue up “teach to say please and thank you” or “teach to say sorry” followed by spamming “encourage recent behavior,” then unpause, it raises parenting like whoa and also if she is level ten it’s an easy way to go Full Parent Mode.
Those things include cleaning homework empathizing. Anytime your child does and of those you can encourage as a positive form of discipline, it's really cute.

The teaching to say sorry, please and thankyou don't count as discipline unless you follow them up with encouragement. Kelsey taught Iris sorry in this video but because she didn't encourage it, she didn't get the second discipline point.

I wish sims would recognize if a sim has never met a family member or barely knows them that then they wouldn’t be sad or wouldn’t be as sad.
River is legit kind of a villain. DeShawn seems to really wants to get to know his daughter, and River is getting in the way because it would blow up her perfect little family.

It would be nice if Iris became a scientist like Minthe, so it could go full circle. She could work at the same place and learn about how her ancestors did in the field decades ago.
Disciplining isn't just punishing, when they do something good like getting good grades, setting the table, basically anything that influences the child's character values in any way, the parent can encourage that behavior (or discouraged if it was a negative behavior)!
I find it amusing how Kakeru's eyes stayed all the way from yellow generation down to blue, and now Iris is the one to drop out and actually got Deshawn's eyes for a change!
Series idea, play the "Sims in Bloom" challenge starting with one of River's kids as the first Gen in the series
i like to click on my child, choose mischief or smth and choose the option "make a mess", and then i get my parent sim to go over there and calmly tell them to not make a mess. do that five times and you have your aspiration subsection complete!

I know, I found that so funny as well 😂I would assume the name is Italian or Portuguese which use -ino as a diminutive suffix (instead of Spanish -ito) but still. The child is named cucumber.

@@unapologeticallylizzy Pepino is cucumber in portuguese too. Some words finish in ino, but the diminutive is inho, like menino means boy and menininho means little boy.

When I was little my mum introduced family nap time on Sundays and I HATED IT because I was four years old, but now I have a nap time with my cat every day 😂

when I needed to discipline my child multiple times, I just got them make a mess and then disciplined them but also got them to clean it up as well!

There's an actual rainbow fish in the game. It's on the rare side so it may be difficult to catch.

Baby name suggestion: You mentioned River possibly having a science baby, if so it would be very cute to have a name that's very similar to River, possibly another waterway like Creek or Lake.

When this challenge is over I feel like you should do the Tiny Town challenge! It’s so up your alley and when I watch the other channels versions I can’t help but think of how you’d rock it with your flare for storytelling and you beautiful imagination and love for drama! It would be perfect!
For leveling up the parenting skill, don’t forget about skills classes! For storytelling, you could think of it as her going to therapy or parenting seminar

As Iris, you can just click on the ground and say "Make a Mess," and then River can discipline her. Or, like everyone else has said, encouraging and teaching also count as discipline. ☺️
those "mean" dog treats are used to treat specific ailments (for the freezing illness, you use the spicy warming treat, for the red hot ailment, you using the cooling treat, etc.. ) the wellness treat is just the generic catch all version

I’m on blue gen as well and it’s the hardest yet!! My blue gen named indie currently has 4 kids, and still has to adopt the 5th. IM GOING INSANE and they’re all sleep deprived 🤣🤣🤣
Dogs pooping rainbow is a thing thanks to crayons. They use beef tallow to make them and, naturally, that’s why dogs love to eat crayons. They come out as coloured poop. It’s such fun seeing coloured poop on your lawn and it certainly makes it easier to clean up. 🙄🤪🤣 and I don’t know if I’m being sarcastic or not. It’s one of those days, so take this however you will.

Kelsey you can kind of cheat a bit abt the disipline thing for river. Iris can make a mess 4 times and river scolds and disiplines Iris 4 times and the aspiration is DONE

You can always click on the child and select for them to misbehave then discipline the child when they misbehave

You can encourage instead! Like doing homework or washing dishes. Once she’s done a task you can select encourage. Also OMG why didn’t I think about a chess set like a laptop???? That would change the game
My recently deceased cat's name was Beau/Bo and the cat he adopted (and is still with us) is called Mimi, so I'd love that for a baby name
