When Deli said you were doing this challenge in her last vid I was SO EXCITED. And you’re doing it with the kids from the every life stage challenge?? Incredible!
I remember in the comments of the vid where little Camaro was born, we decided that renaming Conquistador was going to be a thing =p. Guess we were right. Poor Consuelo.
I love this idea too! But the only thing is, I know Deli's rules say complete a house before moving onto another, but I would've loved to see a rotational gameplay version of this in which each sim day you only spend with one of the sims/houses and they gain whatever they can in that amount of time. Then next day it's the next sim's turn. That way, instead of one house being completed and everybody else still in tents, the entire town kind of gradually improves over time. It might even feel a bit competitive like this sim only got a room done so far whereas somebody else is already on their 2nd floor.
Yaaaaaas James this is a dream come true! I love Deli's Tiny Town and I was so hoping you would do it, too! And I love how you put your own spin on it. (Haha, spin. No pun intended.)
Suggestion for the Community Area: Maybe you could base it off the Eco Lifestyle Community Spaces? Obviously can't use the actual lot type, but the general idea could be fun. Maybe a two-story building with the downstairs as a marketplace/store (with a community selling table, the art selling wall, possibly the retail shelves). The upstairs could be a maker space (woodworking table, easel, etc, not to make money from, but maybe to make decorations/furniture for some of the houses or the community space itself). And the outside could be a community garden plot (as a food source for the Sims that will no doubt struggle to make money later on). Love that you're doing this challenge and that you kept the characters from the previous series! Gives it a nice twist. I'm excited to see how this goes!
I love that Deli said "James will start the challenge soon" but i thought that it would happen like, in a couple of weeks? I'm so pleased rn. Also, it's so funny how both of you got a painter Sim to be the first to do the challenge
ngl I missed Krystoff so much!! in my heart, he and Krysta are actually twins and we deserved that sibling dynamic in another timeline they are so iconic
you can lock the doors so the toddler cannot get out. then you can put a doggie door in, that leads to a fenced off area, the todd can play in no more wandering todds. i hope that helps.
I think all the werewolves showing up indicates that someone is going to get werewolfed in this challenge. The continuing adventures of Semaj Renruts weird children is delightful.
You create the absolute coolest tools and as a new/aspiring creator, you are so appreciated for your contributions to the community. Super fun looking challenge, yet again! THANK YOU James!
James, you don’t need to defeat the Mother to stop the possession! You just need to make vaccines! But I’m very excited to see the Renrut kids again :)
Deli made the community space a building so I'd like to see James's be a plaza. With like the selling tables, outdoor eating, solar panels, outdoor light posts, a telephone cabin lol things like that
Family town! I can’t wait to see the chaos of this let’s play, i love to see the difference between how you and Deli play! Excited to see you play the other characters, maybe you can do it in age order as if they moved in as they became adults? Love it so far!
How about a Tiny Town rec centre in the middle of the lot? Each household can have a room dedicated to their style? An indoor pool included! So the kids can swim all year round without dying 😂
I loved the tiles in the kitchen! It was definitely cold, but if you've ever been to the French country you know that it's on point! You can warm the rooms up with rugs
I find it really hilarious when they get possessed at 1 am everyday. Maybe keep them infected until the challenge is over, then they can all go get cured for the finale episode! Hahaha!
As a graphic designer, it would be really cool to see how you designed your website and the interactive features it has. Creating a page for simmers to also play this challenge for FREE is so wonderful!
I think you should build a community building kinda like Deli’s but you should have a courtyard big enough to fit a treehouse. So that way they can use the treehouse and each person could upgrade it. They can work on it together as a bonding activity!
Every summer for the last 8-9 years I’ve started a series with James. My boys used to watch on my lap with me and now they watch on their own. It truly is a highlight of my summer break
Yay! Glad you are doing this! I think because you have more of a family vibe for this version of the challenge I think the community space should definitely have a small playground space for the kids. Maybe not a house…but a covered a patio space for get-togethers and all the selling tables/walls set up there so it is like a farmers/crafting market at a park? That is often how they are set up where I live.
so excited for this video - mentioned it to my husband when i saw the notification and told him a bit about james, including "always wears a black shirt." as soon as the video started, my husband said, "thats orange" and left the room
so i'm like 17min into the video, but just in case no one else has said it yet, apparently you still have date "goals", like when you ask someone on a date, even if your sim gets asked. they just don't show. but you still gotta try to guess what they are and fulfil them, or the other sim will give you the bad response, like you got. it is actually possible to make them happy, it's just annoying since you can't see what the goals are supposed to be lol
As soon as the second tiny towner comes in, you should make a club! I've followed Deli's idea and it worked really well, because the other neighbours NEVER went out, so I'd start a club gathering to actually see some background interactions. And the community build could have a basement to the mother plant, and also fun activities.
Club was very handy for me - Easy way to transfer leadership is to kick out all but two sims, leader and new leader, then have the old leader quit. easy to re-add from there. Really helpful to get all your Tiny towns on the lot and keep relationships from fading away. My community center rule was I could only add a toilet if I dumpster dived it, but I did add a community sell table and garden (only plants i gathered from the world) . I found a crystal seed through fishing so I allowed myself to plant that and get my crystal tree started.
I realized recently the algorithm stopped suggesting me your content, even though I’ve been subbed for at least a decade! So glad your videos are back on my front page 🖤
Beyond excited for this!! Been anxiously waiting for it since Deli teased it was coming. I absolutely adore how you guys support each other. Not only by hyping her up, doing her challenge, which is one of the best out there by far, but then making assets for people on your website so they can play along is the kind of support you just love to see in partners. Love you guys so much! 💚 Also, it's my new headcanon that Sonny chose Pipe Organ knowing one day it would mean he'd get to be the main character of an RTR for the longest time since it's going to take forever to raise money that way
A community heated pool area with a BBQ would be cute. No chance of the Renruts freezing to death, and you could watch them get sunburnt in the background 🤣
Hey james, with a two adult family, one can paint while the other one is selling. I think it s nice for the gameplay, so they have a couples hustle. Thank you for the new lets play, love it
For funsies Semaj should be the landlord for the lots, like he bought them for his kids 😂 also a lil statue or tribute to him would be fun! The middle area SHOULD HAVE A POOL!
Oh James. This is great. I am so happy that you are doing this challenge, too. I did this challenge twice, once with Deli's characters and then with my own. I love it.
I love this challenge that Deligracy created for the community! In my game, I replaced the center tree with the tree house kit, so all the kids can play on it once it’s built… and with the new kits, I placed a community pool and the new pergola nearby with a couple tables and chairs and one chess table. Also, my lot is converted to apts, which I started with 3x3 rooms where Deli had the fenced in areas in each section and I dropped one Sim because only 6 apts.
Yes, love this spin on tiny town and this new legacy of Renruts! Deli has created an addictive challenge and I love people taking it and putting their own character spins on it. Crossing my finger For Rent behaves and you won't have to backtrack like Deli (also secretly If you want Semaj to be the landlord, he can buy the property and just live off site unplayed in his own household with his lovely wife. BTW, anything outside is just outside, so you'd have to fence off and lock each person's plot of land to keep them from sleeping in any available tent since tents don't have the same locked off ownership as homes. But since they're all family, I find it adorable they're just like "whatever, I'll take this tent over here".
Hurray! So happy to finally see you do the Tiny Town Challenge! Love that you are putting your own spin on it! It’s great to see the Renrut family from your last Let’s Play. I hope this challenge goes on for awhile.
Love that you are doing this challenge and that you created the tools on your website. I'm looking forward to using them and seeing how your challenge goes.
The double sale glitch happened to me too. I just kept it. Maybe 2 sims wanted it and one of the sims paid double to get it! It's not a bug, it's a feature! 🤣
@@snoops2311 yah, but to be fair, I also treated the plants reverting to seeds as the game's way of representing the plant dying and needing to be replanted. I didn't cheat them back to full bloom, so it evens out.
I think it would be really cool to have the community space include bits from every sim!! An arts and crafts space from Krystoff, a space for wellness from Camilo, a photography studio from Silas etc. That way each sim in the community can learn the skills from others :)
For the community space, how about a little market with food stands and selling tables? Then you'll have a nice space for each of the individual sims to sell the items made with their skills!
I played Deli's challenge as well and to avoid the Rental units bug, i just made a "Mayor" sim who owns the lot and rents out all the "plots" (building a 1x1 box at the beginning so i have a room to assign to each sim). At first i was charging them 0 rent, but as each build took shape, i increased the rent by $25 or so 😌 added an extra layer to the challenge, making sure i always have enough money for rent
YESSSSS OMG YESSSS!!! I have been so excited for James to play this. Watching Deli’s tiny town challenge has been the BEST sims content I’ve personally watched in so long!
James you need to change the roof tile to something cottage-y! I think that plus the overgrown plants/vines will really pull Krystoff's home together. ❤️
I love that you are doing this challenge!! Can't wait for the rest of the episodes. I only wish you kept the house more tiny.. And for the kitchen backdoor you could use the one from get to work, that one looks kinda 'French'. And maybe a bit more flexibility with the furniture options and not only what's under the French Country tag? The new stone wallpaper from the Riviera kit could also work really nice! 😊
I love the continuation of the every lifestage challenge family! They're all such iconic characters and actually getting to see some of the last kids grown up is gonna be exciting!
You should age up Ruban and maybe make a playground in the center. So the other tiny town ppl can have kids to! it would be cute to become a family tiny town
I love how you seamlessly incorporate each previous challenge to the current ones (I mean from the last one we married Nalani and now we have the children living their own lives in the tiny town). A suggestion in mind is can you include like a tiny outdoor cinema area too, I know we've already done that in the last one but the thought of Semaj visiting the lot and can watch movies again with his family in their town is just heart-warming to me (p.s. Nalani can control the weather so she can make it sunny when they visit)
Also, I think its kind of cool that the first one you landed on to start with, is the eldest child. It came together quite nicely. Moving away from your parent and starting from nothing is scary, and Krystoff can lead the charge and show his siblings it doesn't have to be so terrifying 😁
If your sims all go kill the mother plant, the trophy should go in the common space 🌱
Yesss!!! Make it the finale lol
Yesssssss agreed!!
I'm so glad you carry on with the characters from the last challenge. I got attached to them for some reason😂
Yesss same!
It was so sweet! Such a happy family!
And I was so so glad you got to start with Krystoff !!! He carried last series
Ugh, same! I was really gonna miss them 😆
Same!! These guys are Semaj's descendants, we all love Semaj❤
The fact that Krystoff is the oldest child and he's been selected first is perfection.
When Deli said you were doing this challenge in her last vid I was SO EXCITED. And you’re doing it with the kids from the every life stage challenge?? Incredible!
Same!!! 😂❤
Yes when Deli mentioned casually mentioned it, the excitement was real!!
I like watching you do the tiny home s Challenge as I watch deli when she did it
do you know what world he is playing in? x🥹
I think it could be a fun idea if the main community area had a Semaj shrine because he was the original sim in the last series
I love this ideal!
the dial up sounds when James couldn't remember Camilo's name hahaha
Poor guy, James couldn’t remember his name as a baby either.
I remember in the comments of the vid where little Camaro was born, we decided that renaming Conquistador was going to be a thing =p. Guess we were right. Poor Consuelo.
19:23 😂
Yes! This was so funny 😂
Poor Calico is just going to have to get used to being misnamed.
the kids should make a home for their father in the middle 😂 each one contributes to different room
omg, I LOVE this idea!
YES!!!!
Omg, this is a great idea!
Yes!!
Yes
James: "Do we need that tent? I think it's better if we get a food source"
Also James: *buys a counter
also has 9 grand to play with and doesnt get a bed

I love this idea too! yes exactly! almost 4 years now. 😊
painting in the sims rly is overpowered, isn't it??? my guy already has a whole manor damn

Haha, to be fair Krystoff is already level 10 at painting from our previous series :)
And has a perk from aspirations that makes it more likely for him to paint masterpieces

I find it really hilarious when they get possessed at 1 am everyday. Maybe keep them infected until the challenge is over, then they can all go get cured for the finale episode! Hahaha!
yes! I like the idea that they're building a mother-infected community together to avoid scaring outsiders who don't understand the possession thing
I’m still hoping for every occult challenge season 2 where the whole occult gang goes and battles the mother. Like some very weird Avengers situation.
I love that the trees on each lot match the sims favorite color.
YESSSS let’s go! Excited to see you do this because Deli’s is so relaxing. Also thanks for the photo generator!

Also, I think its kind of cool that the first one you landed on to start with, is the eldest child. It came together quite nicely. Moving away from your parent and starting from nothing is scary, and Krystoff can lead the charge and show his siblings it doesn't have to be so terrifying 😁
