Awesome video. Brand New Onewheel XR owner and I found this video very helpful. Especially with the foot fatigue. I am sure being a new rider that this is something my body may get acclimated to but right now my feet and ankles are sore in areas I didn't know existed. Have to check out some of those foot pads.
For sure, that's just your muscles getting used to it. I used to get super sore after less than a mile and had to stop to stretch. Now I can go miles and miles without stopping. (We actually did 55 miles in a day and made a video of it) But welcome to the OneWheel life!
I'm 6-months in with my XR. Being and east coast kid it's the closest thing I have ever found to snowboarding! I'm loving these gift ideas. Thanks for the coupon codes too, guy.
Hey JB, I saw in this video that you said that Cobra used to be your favorite pad but now it's the Kush Pad, in your opinion, what is the difference between the Cobra Pad and the Kush Pad?
I haven't bought my Onewheel yet but do plan on buying one soon. My question is: can I still use the "Rail Wraps" or the "Onewheel Armour" with the Sidekicks on?
@@Ivanator-21 no, I would definitely put your OWarmor or wrap under the sidekicks, that is if you get the Crystal Clear HD sidekicks. That is what we did.
Any concave footpad is better than the stock flat footpad. I'm not personally a fan of wooden footpads because they allow for too much vibrations and foot fatigue.

They're not going to affect the water resistance, i've never been worried about that or had water build up under them. They fit pretty flush and the only time i get buildup under them is when i ride some really dirty trails.
Personally, we are not fans of fangs. I think they give people a false sense of confidence. I prefer to just put in hours of practice. That being said, I have seen some pretty persuasive videos recently of the new Fang Mini 2.0's

We have never used them and are not really fans of the idea behind them. I've seen far too many people who use them still nosedive and end up hurt because they put all of their faith into them instead of learning to understand their board properly.
It felt like the longest wait ever when we were waiting for our XR's last year. It didn't help that they got pushed back a few times either. Good luck and welcome to the float life!

With the split fenders do you find that you still get a lot of splash back and debris or do they still protect you pretty well?
I think they do fairly well for rocks and stuff, but I find that water still splashes my legs.

Is there a gap between the board and the float plates? Don’t want to make my board less water resistant...
They're not going to affect the water resistance, i've never been worried about that or had water build up under them. They fit pretty flush and the only time i get buildup under them is when i ride some really dirty trails.
