That's awesome you have such fond memories of this bike. Thanks also for the positive comments, hopefully 1 day soon I will finish the final bits and do a 1st ride. I will video this so watch this space 😁👍
My first bike was a 1975 GT185. It was red and sweet! Just fast enough for my 130 lb beginner self. I lived in New Mexico with beautiful roads and scenery in any direction. I went adventuring on my Suzuki Adventurer GT185!
Rode a mate's GT185 back in the mid '80's. It had a 2 into 1 micron exhaust fitted. Sounded fantastic although it would not have done the performance any good. Never seen another one even though I only live about 10 miles away from the Micron factory.
Your one up on me Tim, I haven't ridden 1 at all ...yet. I'm sure that will change soon enough. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching my video, Cheers, Mark
Thanks for your comment Bill, I think these must have been very popular in the UK back in the day as well as other 2stroke twins and triples.. Doesn't seem to be that many GT185s in Aust', a lot more kettles and RD yamahas ect.
Well there is partzilla, wemoto, good ol eBay. Failing that do a google image search and see what comes up. Get the part number from partzilla or somewhere similar and search that on Google. It was easy to find some things but almost impossible with others. Good luck. If you get stuck just drop me another comment with what your looking for and will have a go my end 👍

I rode the Trans Mountain Highway from El Paso Tx into New Mexico on my GT185. Memorable ride up in the clouds!
