- This place is so cool. Its half underground in New York’s Greenwich Village, an area everyone wants to live. The renovations are cool, and its got laundry, and almost nobody knows where to find it.

And Cash's commentary is THE BEST!
Pause at 11:19! Cash's face is priceless and the cabinet handle broke 🤣😂🤣😂
5695 = low rent = crazy talk. Bedrooms with no windows = closets. They aren't legal. Why are all the bathrooms look the same in NYC and interiors with the same brick.
You're right. Windowless rooms are not legal.
It’s New York, this is high quality living quarters for most people.
Congratulations Cash 💸 💰 on reaching 500K subscribers 👏 🥰🤗🥰🤗🥰.
Your videos beat all the other videos on UA-cam about rental or real estate too!!
Thank you!!
I wish he lived in LA, would love to see him tour LA neighborhoods. I’m not comparing LA and New York, it’s just where I live and wish I could meet him
Same here, I live in Fresno California. The 5th largest city in California. Over 700,000 strong and growing and apartments are becoming as scarce as hens teeth, and I can no longer afford the rent in the city of my birth, and have had family here since before 1900's. No, I can't compare this town to NYC or LA, it's the armpit of California!
@@diane1390 have you come across Brandon Farris 😆
@Diane Is the situation same in Long Beach....🤔🤔
@@kamsalirohith- Long Beach is small but it would be a fun series.
@@diane1390 that's crazy. Who is all moving to Fresno that housing is becoming a problem? ... Earthquake safe homes can be constructed in this day and age; California desperately needs to build UP (or actually, people need to just continue leaving, because it's not sustainable for a higher population, given the environment, like water supply issues...)
Every morning I'm waiting for a video from Cash. Part of my morning ritual. -really like the kitchen window in the first one
Yeah that window was everything
Oven beside fridge BAD, forces the fridge to work twice as hard to stay cool when you're using the oven and jacks up your power bill.
I always love your videos Cash but these apartments all get a thumbs down from me. #1 & #3 have 'rooms' without windows so they are not rooms! The rest have no laundry facilities. Plus #4 has only one bathroom for three bedrooms! New Yorkers are being ripped off. Landlords must do better!
I always dig the funky, hidden places. ❤
Same!
I always start my day with Cash .... his videos hit our shores at midnight!!
Sending love from Australia
Your editing skills continue to amaze me. The dizzying variety of shots with a smooth dialogue hit me before the coffee. :o)
You beat me to it…Editing skills are A+.
Enjoyed the apartment tours today, Alex brings good ones😊
Gotta love how they're so excited about that countertop being right next to the stove at 8:45, and we immediately see the burn marks on its side right after.
Yep, definitely right next to the stove 🤣
Hilarious, if you ignore the fire hazard. 😅
Always enjoy the videos Cash puts out. Especially showing around the neighbourhood, shops, restaurants etc
What a fun place. I personally really love the ones with character and little eccentric touches
That scorched counter near the stove is concerning. I love that warm toilet paper is an amenity! You crack me up 😂!
Am I the only one who busts out laughing at the bathroom 😂😂😂😂
I didn't laugh!
I threw up a little!
It is freaking hideous!
@@williamegler8771 it was. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I detest that low-cost, budget, grey scale tile in the bathroom. Whenever I see that it gives me thrown together, flimsy budget renovation vibes. It's in every apartment. In a few years that tile is gonna look dated. I noticed the entire gooseneck faucet wobbled when Cash tried to replace the nozzle as if it wasn't properly installed. And there was a space in the pocket double doors to the bedroom because they didn't line up and close entirely so someone in the living room could see through that opening.
Most likely that wall was put in to make that room an actual bed room cause I'm pretty sure that bed room was part of the living room at one point
What makes you think it's low cost? There's not a damn thing that's low cost at either Home Depot or Lowes. Have you renovated lately?
Landlords only concerned with the incoming rent, NOT of course caring about the condition of the dwelling.
Cash- As the gentleman said in the opening- Your videos are Fire!
Keep going! ☮️👏👏👏
You have a lot of courage venturing out on precarious fire escapes! lol 🧚♀
Apt#1: the humidity might be high in the basement. Solution: run the dehumidifier (adds heat to room) and run AC at the same time (removes heat) = comfort. Was there an AC?
Congratulations on half a million subscribers 👏
Loving these vids. I dream of living in NYC. Keep 'em coming, Cash. Love from London.
I love the pink tub and sink in that apartment. Theyre lovely.
11:19 SHUSH Nobody tell Alex That Cash Broken that cupboard handle!!🇬🇧🤣
3rd apartment water pressure is shit. JUST SAY IT. LOL.
Cash is a celebrity 🔥
Yes! He's been on real TV.
CBS This Morning if only for a couple minutes.
Who wouldn't like to see him hosting the tonight show with Charles as his hilarious sidekick or at least get his own show on HGTV.?
Maybe that's not the trajectory he wants for his career in real estate entertainment. Idk. It couldn't hoit.
A room without an egress window is not a legal bedroom and cannot be advertised as such. So legally, the first one is a one-bedroom apartment for $5,600, which makes it expensive. The second unit has large rooms (and an ugly bathroom) for $3,600, which isn't surprising for NYC. The third apartment has that "hallway bedroom" which shouldn't really count as a bedroom. The fourth one at least has three legal bedrooms and good living space for $6,200, so it could be sharable.
Wouldn't the door count in the room where it's located? That's why my basement has to have the bedroom in the back (the front would be better because it's sunnier)...the windows are too high to be egress windows, so I had to put the bedroom where the door to the outdoors was. So 2 legal bedrooms?
@@toda2638 You may be correct that one basement bedroom has the exit door and may be legal, but the other is not.
Not really my cup of tea. Two units had awful water pressure. Those bathrooms were hideous. The last until was good but a walk up. Seeing Alex made it worthwhile. He has an old soul vibe about him. Really sensible and so NY.😂
@@biff322 From what I recall, the law specifies an egress window, but I don't know if an exit door is allowed as an alternate. The window must open directly to the outside of the building.
@@biff322 💯💯
Hi Cash and to your friend wow this is a great hidden and private NYC apartment in an alley. I like the privacy. I like the private and quiet layout of the stairs it looks safe. Stay well and safe 👍😀
501K. Congratulations! You deserve it!🎈
love the odd and new spaces they all have some charm for sure and i thank you!
So glad I moved away from NYC & won’t have to worry about renting another apartment there!!
thanks for starting my day on a great note!
Cash, I wish I had your energy. 🔆
You've toured that second apartment before
May not have all the money but always have time for Cash’s videos 😊
For this much rent I could get an ocean view, two-bedroom condo in a high rise in Honolulu and still have money leftover for going to restaurants and clubs. I continue to be astonished at how little city dwellers in NYC get for their money.
Just an FYI, radiators are made out of cast iron, not steel. I grew up with them in the Pittsburgh area. 🙂
This is Gonna b so Cool CJ🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Tuesday😀….
Mmmaaayyyyybeeeee also install some kitchen fans? The stink from cooking will saturate everything!
Watching Cash videos of apartments in NYC, really makes me appreciate where I live. Just love Cash. My son just rented a 3 bedroom townhouse with 2.5 baths, large patio and 2 car garage for under 2k in my neck of the woods... Wonder how much that would be in NYC??? The townhouse was just recently renovated.
Congrats 🍾🎉🎈🎊
WOW 501K subscribers congrats~!
I was so hopeful, ended up a pass on all four. No redeeming qualities in any of them😢
Awesome job cash see you tomorrow btw when I was in nyc last Friday I saw studio apartments
I
Yum, Alex!
LOL...that is 80's mauve pink...my family who helped me move back to state of origin..made me leave a cheap K-mart 80's Torcherlamp...all metal that I admit I liked only one year after move..lol...let me tell you they need to move this all grey thing out or we are in trouble. What I am falling in love with is the amount of regular nice working and making it people...still. Being back all our towns and cities...it is time!!!
Apartment 2 bathroom is the winner. Hands down.
Yes I would like to see you in different cities close To New York to see the difference in prices and build
He's done a couple in NJ but that's not his base.
Jordan looks good in this listing
Man, living in new york is rough. Exciting at the same time.but man, its small
Alex looks so much like the late Bob Saget.
You've been to number 2 before - I remember the insane colour of the bathroom!
Heck yeah! We got Alex today 😂
Hello NYC nice Video
That bathroom color was from the 70s. Kohler made that color and called it Rasberry.
Hey! Cash isn't wearing torn pants! That unfortunate 'fashion' trend was horrible, and it has gone away cheer🎉 Now if Cash can only ditch the backwards ball cap! Doesn't he know the latest trend is to wear an upside-down cowboy hat on his head?? 😂
The Red and black bathroom ( very I think maybe 70s for the color scheme
Curious if any other time frame on the bathroom colors..
That cranberry bathroom is so 90s!
Just saw you on the Brett Conti video talking about cost of living in NYC
Yep Brett is awesome
I like the rock wall
A tip to new renters in NYC. Avoid basement or 1st floor apartments. Unless you don’t mind the occasional rat and waterbug!
"DID I SAY IT WAS?"
I think that wrapped pipe was for cats! Lol
Mauve and black, oh my.
Not a dishwasher in sight....ugh
First apartment had a dishwasher.
"Just 6200..." He said that so confidently..
The first listing I would definitely jump on. I mean hell I don’t need windows I’d just bump up my vitamin D intake🤣. My only concern would be with wifi connection and cellular service tho.
Cash, you are so full of it.
Those apartments was not only over priced but they wasn't even worth it according to New York prices
Mannnnn all new yorkers need to rent strike these landlords! I feel so bad for y'all with these prices. That 1 bed needs to be rehabbed for that price! Crazy to me.
I was going to say this is a perfect way to start my Monday, but I seem to have been a bit mixed up; it's Tuesday. What happened to Monday? 😭
Do these landlords buy everything from the same place when they do renos? I'm surprised at how many of these places look alike inside.
Meh, I didn't finish watching the whole video before commenting. Alex always has some interesting apartments. At least they're not cookie cutter.
Best comment award 🤣
@@ElleBrOwMost confused person award maybe 😂 I really did think it was Monday.
💜 🔥
Four minutes and I'm still not first! Go Cash.
apt one i want know how you decide how that outdoor area is used between you and neighbor?
Fine little hotazz Alex...........
❤❤❤
My hidden psychopathy enjoys watching short people try and reach tall cabinets. 😂😂😂
My dad got tired of my short clumsy grown ass climbing and bought me a step ladder and a tall ladder for my house. I had to giggle at your comment
He's finally shopping in the adult section.
I pay 1600 for a large one bedroom apartment here in Ottawa Canada, windows on both west and east sides, large balcony, and in unit laundry, new everything... Got in at a good time and thanks to rent control its still affordable...
That is mortgage payment money where I live. 3 beds 2.5 bath , 2 car garage 1800 square feet, can be had for less than 1500/ month.
Glad I live in the Midwest USA.
Never ending gray tile.
$6.200 !!!! That is a huge mortgage payment !!!! GMAFB !!!!
Cash Jordan, can you show us the Cosby's house in New York where Husktibles lived! Does that house exsist? Or can you show us the neighborhood the Husktibles live in.
ALEX BRUNI ❤😊❤
Hi Cash
The rope wrapped around that pipe is someone's do it yourself cat scratching post.
Cash, you forgot to mention the neighborhood where the apartments are located.
i don't mind maroon love that kinda red
This is ridiculous. The rent is super high to live in. These old buildings with old bathrooms, old kitchens, old appliances, missing lights, small bedrooms, terrible views, and, shared space for $6000+ monthly. Someone once asked “what gets better with age?” not those buildings 🤧 & definitely not worth the price 🥱
When I see an apartment with no windows, I think about the movie "Old boy"
hello, hello
That window worth the 6k
love ya, Cash, but don't really need the extreme close ups! 😬
Cash. I have to ask. Have you ever been to a place and thought "you know I might want to move here".
It looks nice but also like a place where a murder would go down. Tenant found 3 months after 👀
How long have these apartments been empty?
LMAOOO dude you can find a row house in Philly by the Art Museum for cheaper than this and you would have decent views or you can get a spot in Jersey on the shore for that is BALLIN for that much a month on mortgage to where the beach is a block away and not city block but, beach block.
No, ma'am. No, sir. I guess Landlords are now preying upon desperate college students? These prices have now reached a level where even 1-2 people will have trouble making the rent. How is something being rented (called a bedroom) without any type of window at all (even though it has a 2-bottle wine fridge)? Then the Landlord wants $5600/month for it? Is this legal? Then the second unit (a one-bedroom) at $3600/month with the "Studio 54" bathroom and unreachable storage...no. But it only got worse. $3800/month for a two bedroom and no upgrades at all. The final one got me... $6200/month? No. Just no.
That's what I'm saying. And why exactly do all these owners need so much rent? If they just bought the building then I kind of understand, however many of these buildings haven't changed hands for decades. Furthermore, property taxes aren't so bad in NYC. The normal operations and upkeep are high but not so high that they need to charge 6k per unit.
How much of a profit are they turning here? It seems like they're taking advantage to me. They never run out of fools though! NY is a place where there are so many silly young people willing to pay these rents. They usually end up leaving after a year or two, I wonder if they get burnt out...
