I honestly wish production cars were the feature motorsport in Australia again. The variety of classes, cars and genuine competition was far more entertaining than the V8 supercars.
Less Contact at The Doggem Car's in Sideshow Alley.
Its easy to make production cars the feature category - more spectators/viewers.
I totally agree with you. I'm totally over the Mustang versus the Camaro racing series. Modern V8 Supercars are more like NASCARs with operating doors and headlights. The Camaro isn't even sold in Australia. The mix of makes and models competing in different classes brings us back to the original Bathurst 1000 races in the 1970s. which were brilliant to watch!
Real cars, real racing, unlike the super boring V8, which aren’t even a real car. Brings me back to the 70s, not as good, but still good.
@@michaelhalsall5684 #v8supercars should inject #gt4 racing into the endurance races. Would be great to see to Porsche and Audi’s on track and see the tye big boys through traffic.
The world wanted to watch this. Was impossible to track down anywhere. Good race.
Except live and free on 3 channels in Australia
I think we can all relate to coming across a slow Camry Sedan. @7:40 😅
Genuinely silly thing to have out there, with the closing speeds of other cars around you constantly 😄😄
The Mustang that had the most spectacular incident had the livery, 'Game Over'. That's just tempting fate.
Way more enjoyable than any supercar event, and good support races.
This should be on a sunday in October.
And Cheers to the SBS crew. Good coverage.
Bloody criminal I couldn’t watch this in NZ. Cmon guys you have an audience outside of AU
"That's a large accident...." 😅😂😂🤣 Certainly was "Game Over".
Honestly, this is a lot more like the Hardie Ferrodos of the 80's than the current Supercars
Best race of the year in Australia
Really enjoyed this race
While not a BMW fan, dang, that's some good racing, and the best finish a 6-hour event could have.
I usually don't go to the 6 hour but this time I regret not going
Brilliant race
I wish there was still a Bathurst 24 Hour Race 7:01
After having owned BMW 130i, 335i coupe and 340i sedan, I can understand why so many are chosen as race cars for events like this. Brilliant chassis out of the factory and the engines just so tuneable, you can really dial them up without huge cost.
Another Beemer driver here and fully agree. Have had BMWs since the 90s and am always impressed by their handling and driveability. Have also owned a 911 and put it through its paces once or twice. Those Germans certainly know a thing or two about engineering a car for the driving enthusiast! Cheers - Dave
How about an international stream for next year eh? Felt weird to be cut off from the fun...
do you want to fund it?
Might have to get a VPN for next time.
Great Race.
This is like another Mustang crash compilation. I count about 6 of them .
Hope supercars is taking notes?
Brilliant racing.
Well done people.
🤟😎👍
It wasn't a great race for Mustangs....
Great race.
Superb race! 😁👍
M 🦘🏏😎
Bathurst: I eat production cars for breakfast.
Great to see some highlights but there were more classes and many more cars you could have shown than just class x!
Anyone know why the yellow Evo X was struggling all weekend?
When he said look at that gap at 9:30 mark i definitely was and yes there was nothing between them lol. (hint lower right corner.)
Good to see real racing, with real cars. It could even be 8 or 10 hours.
I do find the minimum timed pitstops a bit silly. It's like a silly show to create interest. It isn't needed. Just limit the number of people that can work on a car and limit the refuelling rate and leave it at that.
This was 10 no 20 times better than Supercars
1000%
Editing and commentary are a bit rough 😬 watch some 70s, 80s or 90s highlights to see what I mean.
I was there 😂
The Sherrins really dropped the ball on this one.
Sad day for the mustangs,
well one won the category, so not too bad.
@@ibast1 thats true but sad ends for cars 9 and 7 with hard contact with the wall at the top
The "unreliable" rx8 finished 20th 🤔
A Holden Astra finished 15th
Ditch stupid cars and make this the premier category
Some truly horrific drivers in this race.
Bathurst's biggest endro? The 12 hour; am I a joke to you?
Most cars mate! 57cars in 6hrs, was only 30 for B12hr.
What is wrong with these drivers??? They're out there for a 6 hour race, not a 6 minute race. Not even one lap finished and five or six cars out of the race because the drivers can't contain their impatience. Are they stupid?? 😖😖
Mustangs are terrible tracks cars I'm sorry
What a CIRCUS a Waste of Time and MONEY.
What do you mean waste of time and money how is it because to me it's another class of racing that can be enjoyed and watch and it feels like a old school race as we see cars that don't have to be heavily modiefied race cars with big aero big power racing these are road cars with a whole bunch of safety like a cage harnesses fire supression systems and theres no centre lock wheels
So you have no idea how much money these events inject into the Bathurst economy.
Got it.....
Why did you waste time watching and commenting.
