Thanks for the review. I am trying to see if it will fit in my cabinet. My cabinet is only 15" deep. According to the measurements I see online it is literally a hair shorter than that. What I do not know is if that measurement is just the case from front to back or does it include the knobs and speaker connections that stick out from the front and back. I can't find that answer. Is there a way you could measure front to back from the areas that stick out the most?
Joe, what a great question so I just checked and you will need a min of 17" if you plan on plugging cables, that is from hanging cable to front of knob. Also distance between front leg and overhang is 1.5". Make sure there is space for the heat to dissipate.
@@cfldriven Thank you! I guess this one won't work for me. I have 15" from the front of my cabinet to the door. If you have any recommendations, I would be happy to hear them. Thanks again.
@@joestandley Options would include opening up the back of the cabinet, finding another location and if that not possible then replacing it. Good luck with the project.
1:51 ... but I wonder if this wonderful device plays an USB flash drive with video ...? Or just for audio? But what about modern devices...? Which one has this option...?
The USB is only for audio formats, mp3, wma, wav, aiff, aac. flac, lpcm. m4a, and dsd. Most smart tvs have a USB port allowing for the playback of video. Using that you can route the audio through the Onkyo.
@@VinylPro Actually it was an answer to "what about modern devices", you didn't limit your question to AVR. I don't know of any AVR that can playback video files as that is a function usually carried out by a device that can be routed through the AVR.
I bought mine about a month ago. The only thing I didn't like is the phono input sound was extremely low. Im Fluance RT81 turntable. I bought an external pre amp and moved it over to CD line in. Other than that im happy with it. P.s. if you do a firmware update make sure its hooked up to the internet. If not you will have to update it via usb.
If you got it at Costco you may want to check to see if you qualify for rebate since they have dropped the price. I was outside window, but still happy with the purchase.
I found a way around the brick freeze up when trying to update with no net. You know when the unit locks you into a upgrade or nothing else works, use the enter button on the av unit, the button next to it will allow you back into the system.
There is an Onkyo app that lets you control it, although it will not power the unit if Network standby is turned off. You can also control it with Alexa and other voice products. BTW price drop at Costco.
@@luisarroyo9285 I forgot about the quick menu, lots of good stuff there. I set my crossover on the subwoofer and left menu settings at default. Just avoid adjusting both. Thanks for watching.
Awesome unit I have this unit it's amazing. Only down is fall no preouts.
There is a stereo preamp output on the back, but no surround sound preamp output. I too am very pleased with this unit. Thank you for sharing.

Can’t seem to find how to set crossover for subwoofer
Did you check your subwoofer for crossover setting control?
@@cfldriven so, turns out I was in the quick menu and not full menu! Found all the nice setting there.

Having trouble with zone 2 setup
Make sure you are not in Zone B.
Can it stream Sirius?
Not directly, but if you have the Sirius app then you can connect via your mobile to the receiver or from your laptop.
