@@Curtis_Wooden_Shipyard Curtis, this is a single layer of planks something I have never done before. What you see is what you get. Therefore a good sanding and filling is mandatory.

@@Curtis_Wooden_Shipyard Yes, the inner bulwarks will be weatherized to hide the part numbers followed by construction of the new actual bulwarks. Between the two it should be look great. Crossing my fingers!
Everything is coming along nicely. On the hull planking numbers, I painted the whole inside of the hull. Some numbers will still be visible, even with the inside planks. Keep up the good work.
@@genojoe3176 Wow!. He makes great kits. Love the stain process. I`m curious. How much time did you spent finishing the basic hull and decks. How well does it go together ?Just don`t know if I can invest the time or not. Thanks. I built 1 warship and it took me 10 years!
@@WATTScostumes Right now I have 136.5 hours into the build. That includes everything that you see up to my last post, Santa Maria #14. It does take quite a bit of time as you can see, but I am loving the build! Pavel, the builder and designer of the ship, really did his homework on this. I would imagine the rigging will also take a lot of time as well. I still have all the deck furniture to construct, so putting a time lime on it is kind a rough.
Getting ready to complete the hull. A lot of sanding and prep ahead but the end result will be fantastic!
Great first planking job Joe! At the end, the painting of the forecastle turned out very beautiful as well. Looking forward to your progression.
