Thanks, Nancy, for taking the time to work it through and giving it to us to have fun with. And thanks for the extra tips at the end for soldering etc. You rock, as always!
Nancy thank you. A good simplified addition to adding gold accents. What is your experience please in polishing over time i.e. telling clients how to remove tarnish and shine up finished pieces without removing the gold layer. I use keum boo often enough and not always patina on the silver.
Loved what you showed. I feel inspired to make some things now. I did paint but now I want to work with metals and bonding other metals to them. Thanks.
Hi Nancy, I have to admit that upon seeing the crazy opening to your video I nearly passed it up at first sight. But hey, I love crazy enthusiastic folks that are very good at what they do and you pass the test. Thanks for the videos. Nancy, have you ever done anything (Keum-Boo) with gold foil? I couldn’t find anything in your extensive list of videos but then I usually need a lady to put me right and find things, apparently, I have to move things. Kind regards. . . Andy
Great video, thank you! I have a pot waiting to be used. When I bought it I asked about using with argentium in particular and they replied that it works well. I would also love to know how you got the gold into the divots of the little dotted piece. Thanks.
What a great video! Thank you for sharing your technique! Question: have you ever tried Accent Silver, and does it work in the same way? Or does it need a different technique of application? Also does it have to be a hard charcoal block or could we just use our usual heat stone? By the way I love your dance at the beginning 😉
I used Accent Gold and Aura 22. Both worked. It should be charcoal but, you could try without. Charcoal helps to create a reducing atmosphere (less oxygen = less oxidation). Thanks. Have fun experimenting!
One thing to try is to clean off the edges before firing. You can grind or sand them off (mask!). Another possible assist is to make sure that there is no enamel on your trivet. Or lay down thin layers of enamel. After counter enameling, try applying a thin layer of scalex to the back of your piece. Let dry. Stone off any trivet marks. Experiment with these suggestions and see what works best for you.
Nice video nancy.. But I have one question About this technique. . You use silver on gold.. but I want to use this technique.. Brass on copper.. Is it possible...?? Plz make one video more Upon this idea..
I was thinking of buying atomized silver and gold powder to make my own metal clay. If I find the right binder (flux maybe?) maybe could be used to do this? Would water be enough to paint it on there?
Hi NLH I've been away having my left foot cut off..Sheesh BUMMER, anyway ever use this gold accent stuff ON GOLD clay after firing??? I'm gonna try it...should work, right?.. (on PMC gold) I'm thinking why not? it's all gold so...!!?!! Let ya know...thanks for all you do kidd-o
Oh yes. Learnt Loads. Very much appreciate your videos. All the very best Nancy.

Painting up to 3 coats will give a brighter, more solid looking gold detail. Be sure to let each coat dry thoroughly before
adding the next coat.
Thanks for sharing Nancy.

Thanks Nancy! I have so been wanting to see this.
Hi Nancy, Thanks so much for this fabulous technique! This probably wouldn’t be good to use on previously soldered pieces right?
I absolutely love it!! Can’t wait to order some!! Thank you
I got pretty excited myself! Have fun experimenting. Try it on a sample piece or two, first!
This was great to watch-thanks, as always!
Very cool technique, Nancy - thank you!
Very nice video if I use propane should I have the same results?
Thanks Nancy
You are welcome, Diane! Thank you.
Awesome! I love this, thanks for showing us.

Hi, can you tell me how I can stop getting trivet marks on the counter enamel? thanks

Very cool thanks!
Could one file pure gold with the diluent as you mentioned in the long form video and make your own formulation ?.
hi, nancy! once again, great video. i'm going to watch the longer version. was wondering how you got the gold only in the divots?
What was the large microtorch you used?
Iwatani's butane. There's a link in the description. Have fun.
Thanks, Nancy. Love your vids.

How did you get the Mikey Mouse indentation on the metal?
браво!!!
Hi Nancy, will the Aura22 gold adhere to reticulated silver? 80/20... would i have to fully depletion guild the surface?

Where did you get your round charcoal block? All I’ve been able to find are the rectangular small ones.
I found a 6" one on Rio Grande! www.riogrande.com/product/hard-charcoal-soldering-disc-5-7-8/502030
Great video. Can you solder the piece after you apply gold?
Rewatched and found my answer. Thank you again for great videos!
