All Aboard for Murder! Everyone on this Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson Review

Hi everyone,
Today I'm going to be reviewing one of the books I was most looking forward to in 2024: Everyone on this Train is A Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson. This is a second book about the character Ernest Cunningham who first appeared in Everyone in my Family Has Killed Someone which I received from my Crime Syndicate Subscription last year from ‪@mrbsemporiumofreadingdelig4109‬.
Is a sequel ever better than the first book? Find out what I thought in my review. Everyone on this Train is A Suspect is a tongue-in-cheek murder mystery set in Australia on the Ghan train during a crime writers' festival.

I thoroughly enjoyed both novels and just like you, I think I liked the second one even more than the first! For the same reasons - reminded me of what I liked about Murder on the Orient-Express and it feels like the story was developed a little better in the sequel. I cannot wait for the third installment to be published in October - it's my most anticipated release of the year.

This sounds like a perfect antidote to heavier reading, 😊 I love mysteries with a bit of warmth and humour thrown in and this sounds wonderful.
I'm going to order the first book from the library/ and or look out for a copy in the charity shops- I've found some real gems in them recently- including Birnam Wood, The Land of Milk & Honey, Christina Lefteri's new novel and The List of Suspicious Things which I'm really looking forward to getting to.

It’s definitely a good antidote to all the heavy reading I’ve been doing. Don’t get me wrong there are murders, but I love a good mystery! It sounds like you have a very good charity shop or two near you with those finds! I have a proof of The List of Suspicious Things and I’m hoping to finally read it next month. 😊📚
