Book Review of Cannery Row by John Steinbeck

- Hello everyone and welcome to my new book review. Really, why do I bother reviewing Steinbeck? His writing and themes are all genius.
I had no idea what this book was about and it was such a nice read (albeit a bit confronting in parts). I loved the town and it's people. They were my people - even though things tended to get out of hand at times but their heart was in the right place.
A great read.
What are your thoughts about this book?
Another great review of a great book I think you have hit Steinbeck on the head.
I love Steinbeck and his writing is wonderful and so full of colourful characters .

Este libro del maestro lo leí en un tiempo difícil de mi vida. Su poesía y estilo me llegaron muy fuerte. Ciertamente, lo leí en castellano... "Los arrabales de Cannery", traducción argentina (yo soy chileno). Y justamente este verano lo releí en francés (Rue de la Sardine) y me causó un sentido potente de nuevo... Además de su continuación Sweet Thursday, todo Steinbeck me ha empujado mucho. Adiós y gracias por la reseña
