Peanut butter pie recipe
1 8 oz block cream cheese softened
1 cup creamy OR crunchy peanut butter (your choice)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 16 oz container of cool whip divided
1 graham cracker or oreo pie crust
Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, peanut butter and 8 oz of cool whip together using electric mixer or Bunkey arm power. Poor into pie crust and top with remaining cool whip. Freeze for a few hours to set. Let sit out at room temp for at least 30 min- 1 hour when ready to serve. Garnish with shaved chocolate if desired:)
Pumpkin Crisp
1 16 oz can pumpkin
1 large can evaporated milk
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 sticks butter - melted
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup pecans - chopped
Mix first 5 ingredients. Pour into 9x13 pan lined with wax paper. Top with dry cake mix and spread evenly. Sprinkle pecans on top. Spoon butter over nuts. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool slightly and invert/remove wax paper.
Topping:
8 oz cream cheese
1 & 3/4 cup powdered sugar
8 oz cool whip
After completely cooled smooth topping over pumpkin side! Enjoy!
Cherry Yum Yum!
INGREDIENTS
1 1⁄2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1⁄2 cup butter, melted
1 (4 ounce) packet Dream Whip
1⁄2 cup cold milk
3⁄4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (22 ounce) can cherry pie filling
MIx together graham cracker crumbs and butter, pack into 8 inch square baking dish. Set aside.
In a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat Dream whip mix and milk until stiff.
Add the sugar, vanilla and cream cheese, beat until well mixed.
Pour half of the cheese mixture over crust.
Top with half of pie filling, cover with remaining cheese mixture, topping and finishing with pie filling.
Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.

Hello! I always make the peanut butter pie but you can also add a little vanilla AND buy some reese cups, freeze them then chop them up and put them all over the top of the pie! Way better than the OREO crust!!!!

I saw Catherine and her husband from Catherine's Plates cut mini Reese's cups into quarters and put on top of the pie.
You can coat the bottom with the chocolate that hardens when chilled.
My sister makes her pb pies with Kalhua , I think it’s the “Original Oyster House” recipe
Part of the reason I love watching you both is that you remind me of my husband and me when we were younger.
We had so much fun in the kitchen together!
I remember the joy of discovering how to make things and even the funny fails along the way.

😂You all are adorable. Dream Whip has been around for many many years. I'm 64 and I never remember not having it. It is like a whipped cream. Everything looks delicious!
DREAM WHIP:
1) I just wanted to say that you can take the dream whip and add a small box of chocolate instant pudding and it makes a great icing for cake. The recipe is usually on the box.
2) Also, I make a dark chocolate (cake mix) as directed. Let it cool then top it with canned cherry pie filling then top it with the dream whip & Chocolate pudding mixture. It's is really good.
3) The dream whip mixed: going by the directions is really good on top of hot cocoa if you put the dream whip mixture in the freezer then top your hot cocoa.YUM!!
4) SO GOOD ON COFFEE TOO.

Yes.
I put my stainless bowl and mixer beaters into the freezer and use heavy whipping cream. Sometimes I add cocoa to it and make it chocolate. 😋

I giggled when you talked about the cream cheeses, I will never understand the hold that stuff has on people, I think it’s vile. But you are right, it’s in so many recipes 😊
There are cream pies you can make with dream whip and what ever instant pudding you like. Dream pie recipes are on the dream whip box. That is always my requested desert from my family. Great for summer time desserts because they are light and fluffy.
Cherry Yum Yum was my husbands most requested dessert for holidays. I made it for the 36 years we were married. I haven’t made it since he passed in November of 2019. He always called it Yum Yum. I miss that hubby of mine. Holidays are hard without him.
I make this peanut butter pie too but I do use the Oreo crust and for sure you gotta try it like that! I also put a layer of hot fudge sauce on the bottom, add some Reese’s cups and then put the pb mixture, add the cool whip and drizzle hot fudge sauce and top with cut up Reese’s. Soooo good but so dangerous 😂

Love having a fun video from one of my favs as I do some relaxing on this Sunday evening! Tip to get your parchment paper to lay in the dish easier, crumble it up in a ball then spread it back out. It becomes much more manageable. I saw that somewhere a long time ago and have been doing it since. ☺ Thanks for shoving our face in the dessert. It was delicious! 😋😉 I enjoy Anne's channel too! All of these desserts look and sound delicious! I love my sweets but don't get super excited over "traditional" Thanksgiving desserts. I thoroughly enjoyed the fun, food and laughter tonight. ❤

I think I would leave the pumpkin crisp in the baking dish instead of taking it out. Less mess.
to get chocolate -put chocolate shavings from a chocolate bar ---grate a chocolate bar with a potato pealer over the cool whip like chocolate shavings yummmm

I just made this for Thanksgiving. My kids were fighting over who licks the spoons. It's so easy to make. I'm going to put Nutella and whip cream on it before serving. Can't Waite to have this.
Also, dream whip can be used as frosting. Chocolate cake. Add peppermint flavor and green food coloring for chocolate cake and peppermint frosting.
We Love pumpkin crisp. I flip it over so that the crispy top is your crust and then add the topping once you remove the parchment paper.
We have been making “yum yum” for 50 years, but we call it Cherry delight. My kom fiund the recipe in the National Enquirer in 1972. It’s been at every thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter family dinner It’s one of those required desserts. Because if it’s not there, is it even the holiday’s.

I think Dream Whip has been around a long time, probably before we had Cool Whip. These all look so good and I’m trying the pie and cherry dessert this week. My bunch is tired of same old pumpkin and pecan pie!
Dream Whip has been around for 60+ years. Mom would put the packet of powder into the freezer, then put milk and the beaters into bowl and put into freezer for about 20". Having the bowl and ingredients cold when you whip them makes for a smoother and stiffer whipped topping. The cherry dessert was called "cherry delight". I fell in love with cream cheese when I was about 5 years old.
I remember my mother using Dream Whip in the early 60's. It was sooo good.

I’ve made dozens of “dump cakes” like ur pumpkin crisp. 2 recommendations… you don’t have to use parchment paper and pull it out. Just serve it from the casserole dish. And when u pour the melted butter on top make sure it covers all the cake mix completely. Any part not covered in butter won’t cook well and may stay powdery. I’ve made a variation on ur recipe before but I’m trying ur version this year. Yum.
My mom has been making that same peanut butter pie with creamy peanut butter for over 30 years. It's my uncle's favorite. It's not a family holiday without it. Plus my uncle would cry 😢 lol
Dream whip us what we had before cool whip. I’d do blueberry in lieu of the cherries.
I made peanutbutter pies in the eighties. I used chocolate pie crusts and melted chocolate chips to drizzle on them. Soooo good.
Wow, I think that is my recipe for nutty buddy pie. Very similar but my recipe varies a little bit and my recipe makes 2 pies and you freeze them. Add chocolate drizzle on the top and peanut pieces! Tastes just like a nutty buddy!

I made peanut butter pie for my mother in law weekly up until she passed away this last spring. She was 80 yrs old..blind from a stroke and sooooo picky! Lol! I never made it before much less heard of it before she started requesting. What mama wants…mama gets! We were her primary caretakers and of all the things she requested this was the only thing I actually got right!! I was just thinking of making it this Thanksgiving in honor of her memory. I drizzled with chocolate hard shell and sprinkles crumbled butterfinger or Heath bar in it. ! ❤
My Mom puts a nice thick layer of the smuckers hot fudge down on the crust then the peanut pie filling then cool whip on top...yummo

When I was a little girl, my mom used Dream Whip. (I'm 65.) I didn't even know it was still on the market. I'm going to try these recipes.
My mommy used to make the cherry one into a pie and called it Cherry Cheesecake Pie when I was a little girl. Lots of great memories ❤!

I make the peanut butter pie every year. To make it better put a top layer of hot fudge over the top trust me takes it to a new level.
I make the pumpkin cake. We call it Pumpkin dump cake. Have never used the waxed paper. Just serve it from the glass pan. So good

That Peanut Butter Pie Recipe is what my Aunt Louise was famous for at her church she had made those pies since Kraft first introduced the recipe in the 70's...Before she passed however her Coconut Caramel pies was running a close close 2nd
next time you have to line a pan with parchment paper, flip the pan over and mold your parchment paper over it. You can add some creases, etc. then turn your pan right side up and it will fit.

I loved these family recipe sharing videos so much. They're exactly what my heart needed. Don't even know if I can type this without crying but I'll try. My Daddy passed away 2 years ago right before Thanksgiving. Years of him being sick on and off of being in the hospital that's how he always got to know the nurses was to ask them about their favorite family recipes. The nurses would bring us in their recipes or so dictated them to me and shared their memories with the recipes. It was a positive thing to concentrate on even though he was feeling so bad and talking about trying them and making them together when he came home. He loved that recipes were love and tradition. I lost my joy of holidays and cooking since he's been gone but I try for my daughter. Watching the fun you guys have had trying these warmed my heart and took me back to making recipes with my Daddy. I will make his favorites this year and hope he's at the table with us. God bless y'all! Happy Thanksgiving

I make that pumpkin dessert every year. I bake it in a greased 9x13 instead of lining it. Then we just scoop it out of the pan

I love this so much! I grew up with my mom making a cherry yum yum every year for Thanksgiving!
The PB pie was my grandma's specialty. She used to make one and leave it in the freezer at our family cabin in Maine for us when we would visit, grandma's love waiting there for us when we arrived. Good memories! Every time I make it, it's in honor of her!
I'm a diabetic. I make a awesome reduced sugar cheese cake dream pie.
Nobody knows about the reduced sugar part, but I make 2 pies, cause I never bring any home.

I make the pumpkin dessert but I call it pumpkin dump cake . I don’t add pecans to my husbands side and we use 1 stick of melted butter and just add cool whip once it cools ❤ so yummy
