I have been keeping MS at bay my entire life through applying this basic wisdom and am now building a website to share my daily routines with others. Life can be so fulfilling once we learn to honor the temple that is our body. I am most excited about the number of doctors finally coming to these basic realizations themselves, and almost always through experiencing the same diseases they have been calling incurable for decades. Beautiful video. Thank you for posting.
I'm reading her book and the story is amazing. With borderline lupus I've adapted this lifestyle and hope that it keeps me disease free. Funny that my rheumatologist stated to me that diet doesn't matter with lupus. I don't believe that...We have to be our own patient advocates and make our own educated decisions. Thank you for the video!
Read the book The Autoimmune Solution, it has a lot of good information on reversing autoimmune disease with diet and supplementation. Look into cutting out gluten first, and see if your symptoms improve.
I totally agree with you! My rheumatologist told me there was nothing that would help expect for heavy immuno suppressant treatment. We patients, are in fact our own doctors, only we can do research and change our diets and lifestyle to heal our bodies 🥰
My son went from borderline MR, falling down the stairs every day and struggling to speak to NORMAL, HEALTHY TEEN via changes in his diet. He had no feeling in his hands or feet. He was not MS.... but outside of dyspraxia, there was no real 'diagnosis' other than mitochrondia malfunction for his condition. We cut out all chemicals and processed food, did physical 'brain' exercises to bring back his feeling to his hands and feet, supplemented and cut out all sugars. Slowly but surely, my son began to heal. We practiced this diet for about 3 years. When he slipped with his diet he would regress. Healing was not a straight line but more of an up and down obstacle course with him slowly getting better and better. Of course, I had never known him to speak fluently as he had this condition his entire life. When we started this, he was 12 and considered a special education 'lifer' headed for the group home. But this was all wrong. He was ill. His body was sick. A new person I did not know slowly was re-birthed. I had never known he was funny! Over time, a funny, smart boy emerged who no longer fell down the stairs but could run and hold his formerly weak head/neck up high! Today, he is co-president of his University Comedy Improv group. Now, don't look at this kids' diet today because it's full of the crazy crap kids at Uni eat. But he is okay. Why? His body recovered. I am ever watchful and so is he.... just in case it comes back. Here is what I have learned about illness. You MUST follow those who have had experiences of RECOVERY! Now, note that we are all individual and what affects some won't be an issue for others. My son could eat gluten but give him milk and his eyes would roll back and his speech would be affected. The same result happened with High Fructose Corn Syrup (deadly stuff, imo). In general though, you must follow those who have healed for they know the path....
Thank you for sharing your uplifting story. I find all of this fascinating and I'm thrilled for you and your son. I suffer from Lyme disease and at one point made great strides by changing my diet (no grains, no dairy, no sugar, no alcohol and no nuts, seeds or derivatives of such, and by eating organic foods as much as possible). I "slipped' on my diet and had a return of many symptoms (to be clear, I have never gotten rid of all my symptoms, but I did greatly improve) and am now returning to eating healthfully. I couldn't agree more that we must follow the experiences of those who have recovered. One of my oldest and closest friends and I cannot see eye to eye on this topic, to the point that we're questioning if we can even remain friends. His belief is that you must *never* look at anecdotal experience but only peer-reviewed studies. While peer-reviewed studies are absolutely important, I couldn't disagree more about not paying attention to the experiences of others. There's much to learn from one another. I hope your son continues to do well.
Wow!...what a concept...who would have thought you could bring the body back into it's natural healthy state again through diet and exercise :) She is not the first to come up with this. And kudos to her for reversing her disease and regaining her health. My hat's off to her. Doctors go to medical school for years and serve an internship and it never had occurred to them that Hippocrates had the answer long before his time. "Let food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food."
and also Hippocrates and the Hippocratic oath , first do no harm. alot of medical doctors must have been out to lunch that day. since some are so very ignorant of that oath that they swore to take when they received their license. some doctors use it to truely help their patients. others use it as a license to kill. all under the facade of medical business. and what's called "standard protocol", or "defensive medicine". doctors don't want to deviate from standard protocol, so as to avoid any legal liability. what a true shame. there should be more doctors like this one.
She is great and I‘m a proving life that if you‘re determined to change your life and follow her advice you can live a healthy life. I do have MS and i feel healthier then ever.
Hi, I also have ms gone from relapsing remitting to progressive, I’m curious to know how much this did help you, I’m looking for something to help me be disease free so if you could shed some light on your experience I’d be very grateful
So thankful for Dr. Wahls protocol - helping with chronic Lyme over the past year or 2 after steadily getting worse over 20+years. Just challenging to stay on protocol when too tired to chop the veggies or even cook a meal but SO worth it!
in school we are taught maths , english , science , history , various other non essential subjects and some basic physical education....why are we not taught about basic nutrition ?...could it be that someone does not want us to be healthy ?....
I guess that it's financially rewarding for industry and multinational corporations - health, finance, pharmaceuticals, purveyors of addictive foods to keep us needy in every way... I like that so many people are becoming wise to this.
We used to be taught basic nutrition--according to the "pyramid" put out by the feds. That pyramid is influenced greatly by the board that oversees the "research". Guess who's on that board? Um..can you say Big Agra?
You should. The meds put me on a cane. A friend knew I was struggling and sent me this video. Took me 3 months to wean off the meds. Feel better than ever. You can use it in conjunction with the meds to start.

Thank you for taking the time for condensing the years of hard work you have done, experience, and knowledge you have gained into a book that I can buy for a few dollars and videos I can watch for free. I will help spread the word.
God bless you for your life turning achieving. You are truly an example on how food we eat make us who we are. Plus the exercises together we can change our future plans of true living. I thank you again I will do as you say.
Back to Doctor Henry Bieler's "Food is your Best Medicine" which has been my Bible for my lifetime....though I get lazy and slip sometimes but the fasting to remove toxins and the organic foods and taking a break when the stress becomes endless has been a great help plus prayer to the Creator when the eating wrong foods really goes wrong.
I never ate much refined sugar growing up and so cutting it out completely as an adult was easy. I'm amazed the addiction the average person has to refined sugar and the amounts they eat daily. It's baffling really. It's not surprising that people so many people have allergies and chronic fatigue and sickness.
I dream of being able 2 eat organic healthy food as I know it would be my reversal of my paralysis. After going through a divorce I am now in assisted living and food is all dead food, chemically laden and devoid of any vitamins. With God ALL things are possible and I will thank him in advance for my future cure and to be able to get out of this institution This I am certain of !!!!!!!!!!
In a podcast I heard Dr. Wahl address this. She works or worked in a VA hospital. Obviously people on a tight budget. She said they were able to make changes by eating frozen and canned vegetables. Many libraries have her book.
I've started this diet two months ago. Your presentation has encouraged me to expand what I'm eating. I need more colored veggies and seaweed. These additions will help the variety of my diet and allow me to continue indefinitely.
This is great and I know what she says in this video is genuine and true, as using this information in my every day life has improved my health and mobility hugely and WAY less visits to see GP's and of course, the less you start to see of your Doctor and pills... The less you need to see your Doctor..... Funny that huh! B-)
I agree - diet is very important and helpful for so many illnesses. BUT...Dr. Wahls is very vague about her recovery. Be a responsible physician and tell everything you did.
Look for her TED Talks"Minding Your Mitochondria", she fills in the gaps a fair amount. Also, as an RN in a teaching hospital for many years and 30 years of experience I found her summarizing of physiology to be helpful and convincing. Since the mid-80's I'd said until someone can explain to me why wheat was tolerated for so long, and why there's a sudden surge in wheat intolerance I'd be skeptical about the idea. She does an excellent job with this.
@@lindamcham428 I have it. I also have 'Minding My Mitochondria' where she admits that, using her very own theories, 100% recovery has never been duplicated in anyone else. No one else?? She went from a zero-tilt wheelchair to riding a bike in the mountains in 12 months?? No. That's suspicious - not a success.
Love Dr .Meyers AND one aspect I wish they’d point out: the reason she might have an allergy to eggs is she ate eggs from factory farmed chickens. Not good. .
it all sounds great but not all of us can afford organic food. we are told to eat healthy but the food is very expensive and the unhealthy stuff is very cheap. so what does one do. i wish there were some kind of help foe people who can't afford healthy
priorities! re arrange your budget to allow more for food. the more we buy organic the more it will become available . join bulk buying groups... farmers markets.... share food and potlucks. .. hope that helps!!!!
True but even regular fresh veg is better than high starch high gluten in your diet. What are you a baby?! If you are ill and your doctor isn't helping, learn to experiment. ;-)
But Bryt25 is right. YOU are in control of what you put in your mouth. A low carb/gluten free diet (eating lots of green leafy vegetables) is quite cheap and even though non-organic, it is still better than eating a high carb/starchy diet.
I have a problem with her saying it was completely her diet that helped her. She had stated in a different video that she gone through chemo and other treatments prior to changing her diet. She also stated that she still takes medicines. What medicines are they?
I've never heard of anyone else having chemotherapy for MS. It's not mentioned as a treatment in any literature I've read. And is she was suffering so much with fatigue and stress, then why was she still forcing herself to work ?
It seems a carcinogen called en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agaritine if you cook them Dr Joel Furmen researched it removed about 88% of it. He says that studies say that mushrooms are aromotose inhibitors. You need only consume 1 pinky finger i.e 1 mushroom for huge benefit, yeah so DONT EAT RAW
I think that every person is different; some cannot tolerate mushrooms and others can. It is important to listen to your body and to cue in to which foods your body is not responding well to.
This is a great program, however we need to realize Dr Walhs also took a lot of vitamins which not everyone can afford, so the results could be slower.
QUESTION: How many MS patients smoked cigs or inhaled 2nd hand cig. smoke growing up and/or worked in a smokey room? If someone already said this I am sorry, She was probably deficient in one or more vitamins or amino acids, and when she started focusing on a proper diet her MS, or MS like if you will issues improved. If she really has MS she may have permanent damage like the pins/needle pain in the leg(s), severe stiffness, and cognitive issues. Only the MS patient can truly know how they are feeling unless it is obvious. You all believing in parasites affected MS is a small percentage at best, we can all throw a dart at the dart board. Don't always obsess over the issue, if the solution was easy we would have hit our head on it by now in my opinion. I believe it is a multiple of variables aligning to light the MS fire. STRESS induces MS/Virus(mono),poor diet at times, poor sleep length and/or quality of sleep, cigs/other toxic component, Contaminated food/water, drugs, excercise, and low light levels. How about those variables to name a few come to mind.
FUCKING Awesome life-changing story! Thank you for share this with the world Terry. How about the sunlight exposure? Did you make any changing before and after? Sunlight is one of most powerful source of life!
I'm skeptical about the nine cups of veggies. Why did she keep mentioning it like it was THE thing that cured her. She briefly mentioned organic grass fed meat and wild caught fish, without even showing the picture for those, unlike the other foods. I believe those were the true heroes of the story, with eliminating the bad stuff like gluten and adding exercise.
She saved my life. The DMD'S they put me on a cane and 8 other meds for peripheral symptoms. I was so over medicated. She also helped me recover my son from classic Autism to Asperger's. Get a Ninja and a good juicer.
You have to take probiotics and prebiotics. Use Turmeric with black pepper. Without Black pepper turmeric is useless. Use Garlic, anion, Ginger. A lot of vegetables with vitamin K and C. VITAMINE C WITH L-LYSINE AND PROLINE Helps to recreate collagene tissues. Eat goat meat cooked only with water not with oil. Fish cooked with out oil. Dont take high doses of Ω6 LIPID ACIDS. lOWER DOSES OF Ω6 LIPID DOSES AND HIGHER DOSES OF Ω3 LIPID ACIDS. AVOID SOLANOIDS. And Aloe vera with out Aloine helps your gut microbioma but first you will have to do examens if you have allergy in Aloe vera. Aloine is very dangerous for the liver. Go to a gym for working out. Stay out to the sunlight for 30 minutes every day. Vitamine D is very important to reverse autoimmune diseases
As a school boy I would eat 6 to 8 weetbix with lots of milk and sugar looking back I had brain fog all day and symptoms of restlessness having learnt nothing I now believe it was the weetbix and milk and sugar all together creating a dangerous cocktail
Hope the best I do eat 1 kg vegetables per day but I don't feel full or energetic. been trying this diet for 12 months now, dont feel any health claimed.
I think it really depends on the person, the disease, their ancestor/genetics, one diet does not fit all. Certain disease pathways respond to particular dietary regimes better than others. Neuro-nerve based diseases (of which MS is one) and epilepsy seem to respond well to ketogenic lifestyle with good fats.
What Dr. Wahl does seems to be a type of ketogenic diet. Most natural diets tend to be close to ketogenic. if not outright ketogenic. if you only eat leafy green vegetables and meats and fats, that is essentially a ketogenic diet.
I find it rather sad that you can't find the honesty to say two words more often: "evolutionary nutrition" and/or "paleo diet". Research by other doctors and health researchers over the past 60 years (eg, Yudkin and Shatin) saved your life! And you continuously harp vegetables, which I agree are great, but it seems too PC, when you minimize organ meat and wild animal foods. What you describe is nothing more than a plant dominant paleo diet - which I agree with - but you s\b more grateful and acknowledge the shoulders you stand upon.
When you have black holes in your" little brain" from lesions being there. You cant get that back. You cant reverse that. I was on always a healthy strict diet before i was even diagnosied and still came up with ms . how can u say changing your diet helps if extremely athletic, people with strict cardio diets still are diagnosed every day??? Your doctors could have made a mistake with your progression and your are still relapse remitting and now you are in remission. Relapse can last months
She's been healthy for years. Get her book for more information. If you have MS what do you have to lose? Even if you can't reverse those lesions this is still worth doing. Read the book and save your life. Don't dismiss this because of what you think you can't reverse. I saw the change in my wife. It sounds too good to be true but it works. And about the diet. The healthy diet you were on, was it the same as one of the three that she outlines in her book? There is a big difference between what most people think is healthy and what really is.
smellyellow have you seen her recent videos? she is sitting in alot of them, my guess her ms has progressed. if food was a simple cure, we would b smarter then most research doctors out there. Doctors would say" eat this then you will be cured" my doctor is all for me not taking drugs for my ms , i did eat what she suggested, it didnt change a thing.
smellyellow my athletic lifestyle consisted of alot of the foods she has suggested in her book. everyone thinks they have a cure for everything, be careful of the placebo effect.
I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. You must either be an exception to the rule or didn't follow the diet exactly. Lots of people make videos while seated. It doesn't mean they have MS. But even if she is relapsing, the amount of time she was able to kick the can down the road makes it still worth doing. As far as the doctors go, when it comes to nutrition, it's easy to know more than them. They don't get taught much at all about it. It's really surprising to learn that. Also, most of what they know about drugs comes from the pharmaceutical companies. Look into it if you don't believe me. So no, they wouldn't prescribe food as medicine because it's not taught to them. If they did they would tell my fat friend to lose weight instead of just giving her insulin and approving of things like diet coke. My wife is fine. That placebo effect must of made her lose 60 lbs. too besides making all of her symptoms go away. "A lot of the foods" doesn't sound like you followed the plan exactly. Maybe you did and it just didn't work. I'm not trying to pick on you although it kinda sounds like I am. Last thing. If it didn't work how is she able to physically do what she does? I doubt it's all an elaborate scam. Again, I saw the change in my wife. It's not an easy plan to follow and organic food is expensive but it works. I think you should give it another go. I hope you get better. Have a nice day.

a miracle through proper eating
So all docs should advocate to patients
number 1 dietary approach ..

@@Makaiisa interesting and thanks for bridging the gaps and updates. There alot of bots on the pay roll
Love Dr .Meyers AND one aspect I wish they’d point out: the reason she might have an allergy to eggs is she ate eggs from factory farmed chickens. Not good. .
Bravo! Concise, organized, key points emphasized, under 20 minutes!
I developed pmr last year,i have reversed it with diet.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

makes sense..thats why I save my own seeds...they adapt to my garden thru their dna
it all sounds great but not all of us can afford organic food. we are told to eat healthy but the food is very expensive and the unhealthy stuff is very cheap. so what does one do. i wish there were some kind of help foe people who can't afford healthy
priorities! re arrange your budget to allow more for food.
the more we buy organic the more it will become available .
join bulk buying groups...
farmers markets.... share food and potlucks. ..
hope that helps!!!!
True but even regular fresh veg is better than high starch high gluten in your diet. What are you a baby?! If you are ill and your doctor isn't helping, learn to experiment. ;-)
Bryt25 No need to be rude, the comment was for the video maker not toward you.
But Bryt25 is right. YOU are in control of what you put in your mouth. A low carb/gluten free diet (eating lots of green leafy vegetables) is quite cheap and even though non-organic, it is still better than eating a high carb/starchy diet.
Buy seeds & grow your food -- in your yard, in a community garden, in containers.
It's The Food!
You are what you EAT!!!
I wish she'd listed the 31 brain nutrients.
Jack Mac +
she did.
I have a problem with her saying it was completely her diet that helped her. She had stated in a different video that she gone through chemo and other treatments prior to changing her diet. She also stated that she still takes medicines. What medicines are they?
Just2ofus4now PRIOR to changing her diet. it did not help.
And just dropping processed food, restricting carbs and gluten will help (unclog) the liver in detoxifying before any related supplements are taken.

I've never heard of anyone else having chemotherapy for MS. It's not mentioned as a treatment in any literature I've read.
And is she was suffering so much with fatigue and stress, then why was she still forcing herself to work ?
She said she was still declining after the chemotherapy
Why I’m I just finding this 😩
I notice you allow mushrooms. Ann Boroch doesn't. Hmmn? Confused. Love mushrooms. But you're both good!
I've never read or heard of a physician or expert on nutrition speak negatively about mushrooms. All mentions of mushrooms have been highly positive!
This is a great program, however we need to realize Dr Walhs also took a lot of vitamins which not everyone can afford, so the results could be slower.
what percentage does she say is epigentics?
Sunlight is one of most powerful source of life!
what weight is a cup!?
250 ml
Josie Caldarella that’s volume not weight.
Oh true - Sorry! 220 grams = 1 cup
Is it 3 cups total greens, 3 cups total bright food, and 3 cups total sulfur foods to equal 9 cups a day Or is this each meal equaling 27 cups a day 😮

a real-food diet. no packaged, pre-fabricated chemicalized pseudo food like substances. yeah!!!!
Is this diet life long ?
Yes
Didn’t she have chemo first??
SkyScarlett yes, but she still continued to decline.
@@suelahti2078 I never seen chemotherapy suggested anywhere as a treatment for MS, so I'm baffled as to why she says she had it.
Those who dislike this thy are from pharma companies 🤣🤔
CUT SUGAR!!
How old is she?
i consider her one of the prisoners of medicine in this generations.
I'm gluten free and still having problems. Eat no dairy. Now what
You are probably dehydrated. Please check Medical Medium podcast. Also having lots more organic fruits and vegetables helps.
Get Dr Wahls book, read, implement.

"Terrain theory"
High carb/starch low fat vegan diet can cure as well :) see Dr. McDougall, Barnard, and Colin Campbell.
+Jessica Look at Dr. McDougall. I do not think that he is doing well on his diet even without MS.
MS? It cures MS?
What Dr. Wahl does seems to be a type of ketogenic diet. Most natural diets tend to be close to ketogenic. if not outright ketogenic. if you only eat leafy green vegetables and meats and fats, that is essentially a ketogenic diet.
I am a big believer in diet by blood types.
You had RR M S and those who who have P P MS it is totally different nothing to do with diet
What's the difference
Doctors would say" eat this then you will be cured" my doctor is all for me not taking drugs for my ms , i did eat what she suggested, it didnt change a thing.
smellyellow is your wife relapse remitting? that makes a huge difference in your ms lifestyle
smellyellow my athletic lifestyle consisted of alot of the foods she has suggested in her book. everyone thinks they have a cure for everything, be careful of the placebo effect.
