    I have been keeping MS at bay my entire life through applying this basic wisdom and am now building a website to share my daily routines with others. Life can be so fulfilling once we learn to honor the temple that is our body. I am most excited about the number of doctors finally coming to these basic realizations themselves, and almost always through experiencing the same diseases they have been calling incurable for decades. Beautiful video. Thank you for posting.

    I'm reading her book and the story is amazing. With borderline lupus I've adapted this lifestyle and hope that it keeps me disease free. Funny that my rheumatologist stated to me that diet doesn't matter with lupus. I don't believe that...We have to be our own patient advocates and make our own educated decisions. Thank you for the video!

      Read the book The Autoimmune Solution, it has a lot of good information on reversing autoimmune disease with diet and supplementation. Look into cutting out gluten first, and see if your symptoms improve.

      I totally agree with you! My rheumatologist told me there was nothing that would help expect for heavy immuno suppressant treatment. We patients, are in fact our own doctors, only we can do research and change our diets and lifestyle to heal our bodies 🥰

    My son went from borderline MR, falling down the stairs every day and struggling to speak to NORMAL, HEALTHY TEEN via changes in his diet. He had no feeling in his hands or feet. He was not MS.... but outside of dyspraxia, there was no real 'diagnosis' other than mitochrondia malfunction for his condition. We cut out all chemicals and processed food, did physical 'brain' exercises to bring back his feeling to his hands and feet, supplemented and cut out all sugars. Slowly but surely, my son began to heal. We practiced this diet for about 3 years. When he slipped with his diet he would regress. Healing was not a straight line but more of an up and down obstacle course with him slowly getting better and better. Of course, I had never known him to speak fluently as he had this condition his entire life. When we started this, he was 12 and considered a special education 'lifer' headed for the group home. But this was all wrong. He was ill. His body was sick. A new person I did not know slowly was re-birthed. I had never known he was funny! Over time, a funny, smart boy emerged who no longer fell down the stairs but could run and hold his formerly weak head/neck up high! Today, he is co-president of his University Comedy Improv group. Now, don't look at this kids' diet today because it's full of the crazy crap kids at Uni eat. But he is okay. Why? His body recovered. I am ever watchful and so is he.... just in case it comes back. Here is what I have learned about illness. You MUST follow those who have had experiences of RECOVERY! Now, note that we are all individual and what affects some won't be an issue for others. My son could eat gluten but give him milk and his eyes would roll back and his speech would be affected. The same result happened with High Fructose Corn Syrup (deadly stuff, imo). In general though, you must follow those who have healed for they know the path....

      Thank you for sharing your uplifting story. I find all of this fascinating and I'm thrilled for you and your son. I suffer from Lyme disease and at one point made great strides by changing my diet (no grains, no dairy, no sugar, no alcohol and no nuts, seeds or derivatives of such, and by eating organic foods as much as possible). I "slipped' on my diet and had a return of many symptoms (to be clear, I have never gotten rid of all my symptoms, but I did greatly improve) and am now returning to eating healthfully. I couldn't agree more that we must follow the experiences of those who have recovered. One of my oldest and closest friends and I cannot see eye to eye on this topic, to the point that we're questioning if we can even remain friends. His belief is that you must *never* look at anecdotal experience but only peer-reviewed studies. While peer-reviewed studies are absolutely important, I couldn't disagree more about not paying attention to the experiences of others. There's much to learn from one another. I hope your son continues to do well.

    Wow!...what a concept...who would have thought you could bring the body back into it's natural healthy state again through diet and exercise :) She is not the first to come up with this. And kudos to her for reversing her disease and regaining her health. My hat's off to her. Doctors go to medical school for years and serve an internship and it never had occurred to them that Hippocrates had the answer long before his time. "Let food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food."

      and also Hippocrates and the Hippocratic oath , first do no harm. alot of medical doctors must have been out to lunch that day. since some are so very ignorant of that oath that they swore to take when they received their license. some doctors use it to truely help their patients. others use it as a license to kill. all under the facade of medical business. and what's called "standard protocol", or "defensive medicine". doctors don't want to deviate from standard protocol, so as to avoid any legal liability. what a true shame. there should be more doctors like this one.

      Also, as an RN in a teaching hospital for many years and 30 years of experience I found her summarizing of physiology to be helpful and convincing. Since the mid-80's I'd said until someone can explain to me why wheat was tolerated for so long, and why there's a sudden surge in wheat intolerance I'd be skeptical about the idea. She does an excellent job with this.

    QUESTION: How many MS patients smoked cigs or inhaled 2nd hand cig. smoke growing up and/or worked in a smokey room?
    If someone already said this I am sorry, She was probably deficient in one or more vitamins or amino acids, and when she started focusing on a proper diet her MS, or MS like if you will issues improved. If she really has MS she may have permanent damage like the pins/needle pain in the leg(s), severe stiffness, and cognitive issues. Only the MS patient can truly know how they are feeling unless it is obvious. You all believing in parasites affected MS is a small percentage at best, we can all throw a dart at the dart board. Don't always obsess over the issue, if the solution was easy we would have hit our head on it by now in my opinion.
    I believe it is a multiple of variables aligning to light the MS fire. STRESS induces MS/Virus(mono),poor diet at times, poor sleep length and/or quality of sleep, cigs/other toxic component, Contaminated food/water, drugs, excercise, and low light levels. How about those variables to name a few come to mind.

    I'm skeptical about the nine cups of veggies. Why did she keep mentioning it like it was THE thing that cured her. She briefly mentioned organic grass fed meat and wild caught fish, without even showing the picture for those, unlike the other foods. I believe those were the true heroes of the story, with eliminating the bad stuff like gluten and adding exercise.

      I think it really depends on the person, the disease, their ancestor/genetics, one diet does not fit all.
      Certain disease pathways respond to particular dietary regimes better than others. Neuro-nerve based diseases (of which MS is one) and epilepsy seem to respond well to ketogenic lifestyle with good fats.

    I find it rather sad that you can't find the honesty to say two words more often: "evolutionary nutrition" and/or "paleo diet". Research by other doctors and health researchers over the past 60 years (eg, Yudkin and Shatin) saved your life! And you continuously harp vegetables, which I agree are great, but it seems too PC, when you minimize organ meat and wild animal foods. What you describe is nothing more than a plant dominant paleo diet - which I agree with - but you s\b more grateful and acknowledge the shoulders you stand upon.

    When you have black holes in your" little brain" from lesions being there. You cant get that back. You cant reverse that. I was on always a healthy strict diet before i was even diagnosied and still came up with ms . how can u say changing your diet helps if extremely athletic, people with strict cardio diets still are diagnosed every day??? Your doctors could have made a mistake with your progression and your are still relapse remitting and now you are in remission. Relapse can last months

    • @smellyellow
      @smellyellow 6 років тому +2

      She's been healthy for years. Get her book for more information. If you have MS what do you have to lose? Even if you can't reverse those lesions this is still worth doing. Read the book and save your life. Don't dismiss this because of what you think you can't reverse. I saw the change in my wife. It sounds too good to be true but it works.
      And about the diet. The healthy diet you were on, was it the same as one of the three that she outlines in her book? There is a big difference between what most people think is healthy and what really is.

    • @Tns85
      @Tns85 6 років тому +2

      smellyellow have you seen her recent videos? she is sitting in alot of them, my guess her ms has progressed. if food was a simple cure, we would b smarter then most research doctors out there. Doctors would say" eat this then you will be cured" my doctor is all for me not taking drugs for my ms , i did eat what she suggested, it didnt change a thing.

      smellyellow is your wife relapse remitting? that makes a huge difference in your ms lifestyle

    • @Tns85
      @Tns85 6 років тому +2

      smellyellow my athletic lifestyle consisted of alot of the foods she has suggested in her book. everyone thinks they have a cure for everything, be careful of the placebo effect.

    • @smellyellow
      @smellyellow 6 років тому +3

      I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. You must either be an exception to the rule or didn't follow the diet exactly.
      Lots of people make videos while seated. It doesn't mean they have MS. But even if she is relapsing, the amount of time she was able to kick the can down the road makes it still worth doing.
      As far as the doctors go, when it comes to nutrition, it's easy to know more than them. They don't get taught much at all about it. It's really surprising to learn that.
      Also, most of what they know about drugs comes from the pharmaceutical companies. Look into it if you don't believe me. So no, they wouldn't prescribe food as medicine because it's not taught to them. If they did they would tell my fat friend to lose weight instead of just giving her insulin and approving of things like diet coke.
      My wife is fine. That placebo effect must of made her lose 60 lbs. too besides making all of her symptoms go away.
      "A lot of the foods" doesn't sound like you followed the plan exactly. Maybe you did and it just didn't work. I'm not trying to pick on you although it kinda sounds like I am.
      Last thing. If it didn't work how is she able to physically do what she does? I doubt it's all an elaborate scam. Again, I saw the change in my wife. It's not an easy plan to follow and organic food is expensive but it works. I think you should give it another go. I hope you get better. Have a nice day.
