Seven years later, despite taking the pharmaceutical drugs normally prescribed to sufferers of her condition, Terry’s health continues to decline. The mother of two decides conventional medicine is not stopping the decline into a demented and bedridden life and begins her search for an alternative approach. This is the story of her decline, astonishing recovery and how she ultimately succeeded in her attempt at defying all odds.

As someone with MS, Terry has truely changed my life. Ive lost 30kg, all of my health problems are in remission, and I am able to work again. Things are only getting better, and it’s because of her. 💪🏻

This resonates to a Doctor Fetke in Tasmania who kept being blocked from treating his patients with nutrition and lifestyle. Big Pharmy are scared of losing money.

This made me incredibly happy and sad at the same time, for someone who lost their father to ms when he was just 47 years of age and am now battling this disease myself, it gives me hope for the future and yet saddens me to think, if I had stumbled across lifestyle changes many years maybe my dad would still be here.. He would have only been 60 this year. ❤

I understand you're expressing deep pain and emotions, feeling like my words could be your own story. The pain and tears from suffering, the fear of being helpless-it's overwhelming. You wish you could live life again like me, but you feel completely helpless.😢😢

I've been trying to share Terry's story to others, but of course it only takes if the person is ready and receptive or desperate.

I so approve of this general approach.
I also have secondary MS and the timescale and progression appears to have been very similar to Terry Wahls'.
I do not have a scientific background but followed a very similar road of discovery through trial and error (I am extremely methodical in my approach to things that can improve my well being). I came to similar (very similar) conclusions as to what helps and what does not help. SO... I applaud Terry Wahls and her protocols.
What I am cocking my head at is the money thing. A lot of info is given for free (bravo!) but it seems that a lot is also only available at a cost. One has to live and make a living, but...?
Anything I have learned that helps (similar things but adding PEMF and Infra red usage, etc) I tell others for free. Why would one charge? On the other hand, there is a part of me that understands the need to charge in order to continue and to pay for studies and the admin of info distribution.
It's just.... so much of the really detailed stuff that Terry Wahls's protocols entails are only really available to the very wealthy. Seems a shame - but also partly understandable.
I do wish Terry Wahls continued improvement and good health. I am luckily defying my neurologist's poor prognosis due to a very similar approach also. People.... try it. Even if you cannot afford to buy the books or afford to join the more in depth connections to the protocols, try it.

What has helped you the most?

    • @mrpad0
      @mrpad0 10 місяців тому

@@mdillinger1 Reducing certain carbs and added sugars and eating a more unprocessed diet had the most noticeable benefits over a period of about three months (it took a while for me to get into it initially, and then for the benefits to start showing). Intermittent fasting then helped even more (and is easier when sugar/carbs are cut because one is not on a 'sugar run'! Over time I started full water fasting. I started by water fasting for a day and then doing that every now and then. Now I do a 5 day water fast twice a year at the minimum (some years up to four times a year. It gets easier over time).
Those things make a big difference and now (for the past 5 years) I have slept on a mat the gives my body PEMF and some far infra red. I sleep better and wake more refreshed. I take D and vitamin K and C. I also take two drops of nascent iodine a day, but in bursts of a few days at a time and then a break for a few days or a week. That also really seems to make a difference for me.
I use antibiotics rarely, but when I need them and if appropriate for the infection I request Doxycycline because whenever I use it my MS symptoms are reduced significantly. This is something I discovered over the decades and I have discovered that others have also noticed the same benefits (!) It is definitely something to bear in mind, when so many people have found the same thing.

I appreciate this documentary. I admire Dr. Wahls’ dedication and research into diet and lifestyle. I have been living well with MS for over 18 years. I do 5 things in addition to my medications. I eat a whole food plant based diet, exercise regularly, try to get good sleep, practice mindfulness, and take supplements under the guidance of my neurologist and naturopathic doctor. All of these are key to my health and well-being.

I had the autoimmune disease Hashimoto's thyroiditis and I went on a diet similar to hers, but I still eat legumes. My disease went into total remission, and my doctor was so amazed that he has used this diet to cure his other autoimmune patients as well. So, I believe this is worth trying if you have the means to do so.

Dr. Walz I have primary progressive multiple sclerosis and that is exactly what I say and I have been saying for a long time multiple sclerosis for me is a curse and a blessing, a curse because of the excruciating pain spasms not being able to stand, etc. and a blessing because now I know how the human body functions and what I have to do to keep it working optimally !!

I am deathly ill afraid to go back into a doctor's office this is only in the movies kind of thing seemingly not in my lifetime I've been thinking real hard all my life searching seeking that's how I know you are finding the right answers how much of it would you have to say is divine intervention maybe you like serendipitous I call it the same just one way God speaks volumes everyday once that if Randy said what are the odds of that all the time for a while I thought he was shallow at the time it was just too deep for me even though at 15 i said this coincidence happened according to the law of averages there would be none in comparison to what is pointing towards the hand of God pointing towards us
