  • With fuel prices constantly going up, and this war that is going on in Ukraine is also driving oil and other prices up. No matter what, even though our 95RON is subsidized, there will com a time when even the subsidy will be removed.
    Thus ,when we buy a car, it is always good to know just how far it will go on a liter of fuel.
    The Honda Accord is one large car, so we took it out for a drive to check out just how well it can do - I can only say that this justifies the use of a CVT.

    The Honda Accord 1.5 turbo is such a under estimated car. The car is more powerful than a lot of people realize, despite the relatively smaller engine, I find it is pretty quick off the line and it has plenty of passing power on the highway. I live in the United States, and I have purchased a 2022 Honda Accord Sport Special Edition recently and I love it, so far. 😁
    This is my third Honda that I've owned in my 35+ years of driving. I stand by the brand.
    In the U.S. the Accords with 1.5 cvt turbo gets about 35 miles per gallon on the highway, by the way, very good gas mileage for a car this size. 😊

    Amazing fuel consumption. As good as Passat FL 2.0. Roughly similar to Camry also. That's why I love D segment sedans. They're comfortable, powerful, fun as well and don't drink much fuel

  • @akt8985
    @akt8985 2 роки тому +1

    The D segment sale is struggling. However, there are many people that buy Camry still. Accord is rarely seen OTR, I think due to CVT and Pricing.

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  2 роки тому +2

      I think most D segment cars are slowing because more people are switching to SUV and Crossovers. This seems to be a global trend, but there are still people who prefer a large sedan.

      In Thailand, I have 1.6 CRV diesel 160hp/350nm. I get about 15-16km/l in mixd driving, and up to 22-23km/l on the highway. But usually don't travel at 140km/h:) The accord consumption in this video is quite acceptable (but would plummet with a lead foot).

      They won't be as good for sure. I have a Skoda superb 2.0tsi (280ps) with the 4x4 , 6 spd dsg and it will do like 13-14km/l if you drive at around 100km/h on the highway. Normally I go at 120-130km/h and it's more like 11km/l lol
      Mine is the EA888 gen 3. Newer ones with a 7 speed dsg will do better. The 190ps b cycle EA888 even better.
