"And if you're interested in doing a subscription package, please remember I'm crazy" That really got me, lol. But your output definitely shows man, great stuff!
THIS PRINTER IM IN LOVE One day when I’m rich I wanna get such a nice printer Working with old timey printers has given me such an appreciation for new ones
I've been watching and rewatching this video and so many other videos about making merch as an artist and nothing is as helpful as this and your "art that builds an audience" video. I just wanna say thank you 💖
Oh man, so exciting to see the behind the scenes work! Makes me want to start an art shop lol Awesome job to you both!!!! Do you think you’ll continue Biko’s Backpack next year?
I've attempted this sort of stuf before but I was selling at college overpriced it especially to the audience I was selling it (literally college students that are poor as dirt like me) the stuff you explain in here on what you can do serves as a good blueprint to start with
Yep! Honestly the quality it outputs is probably more on par with gallery prints, so con prints are easily in its wheelhouse. Besides this bookmark, the prints we've been able to do with it have been really nice.
I've not been in a position to support monthly over the past year, but I absolutely adore the physical products you've been creating. Any chance you'd make some of these items available as standalone products in a store at some point?
Yep, like we've mentioned in this video and before, they're available individually during our virtual booth streams, in place of comic con appearances... we should have another one soon, make sure you're signed up for the newsletter to know for sure: brookeseggleston.com
Hi Brookes, what do you do if you feel like you have a style that doesn't work as well in merch anymore? For example most merch I've seen in artist alleys for pins, buttons, and keychains use lineart and simple shading, such as your bold and graphic Stormfellers pins. My work is more painterly now like my icon (I used to work simpler to match this merch aesthetic), but I don't feel like my style fits things like buttons and keychains anymore, even though they're what I love producing most. What can I do to find a nice balance between my current style and something more visually pleasing and marketable? Thank you for your time! 😊
Find artists that does aesthetically pleasing character art like simple designs with minimal shading more like a anime cell shading which is what works in merch and for some actual artists style but learning to cell shade can range from simple to complex so pick the right artists to study
I've actually found that seeking out your own supplier tends to work best, especially since most companies are working at a very small scale- it might be counterintuitive to overwhelm one supplier with too many orders!
I want to know if he makes his own stickers because I have recently started making my own using vinyl with a clear coating of krylon and it has been going good so far.
You can always write comments directly, I tend to see them all :) We do have a vinyl cutter but It's generally more time efficient with stickers for us to order them- I talk about that in the video!
What services do you recommend for things like printing custom buttons and trading cards? I've tried looking around and I can't tell who has a good reputation of quality. And some just charge more than others for so little.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INFORMATION. I am wanting to make my own PINUP style, would you suggest an APP IPHONE for editing? Where could I get the pins made the full fill? Anybody suggestions ? Id like to make trading cards and saw services and wonder if I should have printed. only $20 for 100 is very reasonable.

I don’t have any proof but I’m starting to think your favorite color is purple
Is it because he wears that color and repeatly use that in his character (including on some merch)?
7:38 There he is, the majestic Tommy of the Baby Boy variety, in his natural habitat being a legendary creature.

Right? It's kind of mindblowing that it outputs what it does and it's just sitting in my office. I feel like Captain America coming out of the ice

Im glad Clarissa! I just did a couple of shopkeeper month videos that apply to the same subject
So that's like a pro printer? Like I could do a run of convention prints at that size?

Yay! Another one of your videos!
P.S This was commented before a hour of this video's upload.
What company do you use to make your pins? I've been looking for a reputable place. Also love your work, thanks for this video great stuff!

So how are the stickers made ? Do we get a sticker stock paper or is there a special equipment that cuts templates in glue sheets?

This guy should make another channel that only talks about UA-cam stuff and tutorials.
Is Tay still making videos on thursdays?
We did the two that she did as a special case, not as a regular part of our schedule, but look forward to more in the future!
Not now, but there are talks of future Story Hearth videos come 2021!
