- Video of a traffic stop in San Francisco, California is going viral.
The reason?
The vehicle the police pulled over had no driver.
The driverless car was pulled over because it was driving at night without headlights on.

Imagine getting shot as a passenger when your driverless cabs speeds away from police
Only in America
😂😂😂
Cause of death, riding a driverless car while black
Imagine a world where race isn't an issue, and guns were non-existent.
@@Ragnarok182 Cant be Earth thats for sure
Cops still said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana and pulled the robot out and beat it senseless
LoL
Claiming that their safety was in jeopardy, they pulled out their guns a loaded it full of bullets.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The software is now awaiting trial in jail.
Stop resisting!!!!!
Imagine a driverless car in the 1950s. Everybody would be freaked out
I wouldn't get in one , and I really don't see the point . Is this to taxi people ? Courier service maybe ? Seems like a driver would be cheaper than the equipment necessary
@Wencer Calzado Just because I don't like people of color doesn't mean I won't let them drive me somewhere . I take Uber now and then and I've been driven by blacks ,Indians , and white people . If I call Uber I'm not going to refuse the ride because I don't like the color of the drivers skin, If that were true Chick Fila would be the only fast food in business , because all of the others hire mostly if not all minorities So if they are cooking your food or serving you , you aren't going to eat there ?
People down south are still freaked out now in 2022.😅
@@leskobrandon3497 The tech will get cheaper over time, while drivers will still have to be paid the same. To answer your question, the benefits of autonomous vehicles are long-term. Right now, they are just being tested and improved. In the future, they will make roads safer, more efficient, and will make delivery and transportation services cheaper.
Imagine a driverless car in the 1800s. Everybody would be freaked out
That's totally sane. Now I gotta worry about being hit by *no one* behind the wheel.
If it hits you, chances are that it's your fault. At least with Weimo, like 13/16 of their accidents in Phoenix were because of humans, and none of them were serious.
Except it's far less likely. Computers don't stop paying attention to put on make up, read bills, check their texts, email, they don't get extracted by messing with the radio, they don't fall asleep, they don't get drunk and kill a teenager or grandmother.... nothing is perfect, but a machine that is always alert is far better than a meat puppet behind the wheel.
Technically you’d sue the company
Or the driverless car's telematics CLAIMED it was the humans fault and it was their word against the driver? My guess is these vehicles occasionally do risky things then stop at the last minute making it "technically" not their fault.
Like this car was driving without headlights but it's systems "determined" it had been pulled over for driving at the wrong speed, and THEN IT JUST DROVE OFF LOL
@@colinhaney The vehicles have cameras. It’s gonna be pretty easy to prove who’s at fault since every portion of the vehicle is viewable/tracked. If this wasn’t the case, 13/16 wouldn’t be tracked.
It’s funny…but someone in Philly will still try to steal it.
Then they'll be driven to the nearest police station.
white people where hoping it was a black person driving it so the cops could shoot them
@Henry Horner why be racist I'm pretty sure you're a grown man?
@Henry Horner you can talk about others race but can you talk about what your own race does?
Facts🤣🤣🤣🤣
If the car was black. The cops would start shooting at it.
Is no one going to mention the fact that the officer is getting out of the back seat of his car in the beginning of the video??? Is his car driverless too?
😂😂😂 you right I thought I was tripping…
The lights go on while he's out of the vehicle so i guess his partner is in the driver seat.
@@rrestoring_faithdo cop partners usually chauffeur each other around like this?
@@lamontjohnson5810 I'm sure they do. In NYC a lot of officers don't use vehicles and just patrol on foot. That would explain why he's in the back. It's not his car.
or its just 3 cops in the car. maybe a trainee
It fled from officers! It's a fugitive! LMFAO
Driveless car are great because once u hide in the truck nobody gets a ticket
Chill man delete this comment 😂
DUDE PERFECT!
He should’ve emptied the clip into that nerd mobile
“Hi, Welcome to Johnny Cab” - Total Recall
Imagine if it had a passenger in the back and got accused for driving the vehicle and then jumping into the back!
Could you imagine being a passenger in that driverless car when being pulled over by the police and during the stop your car takes off OMG would they arrest the passengers for trying to evade 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hilarious! 😂
@@starscream2541 but as you see it could truly happen how would they treat the passengers 🤔😜
I found it more strange a cop came out from the back seat of the cop car instead of the front
Right ! Like no one saw that ???
It's like when my parents new car had cruise control. They were afraid to use it. Funny, I use mine when traveling long distance everytime.
@Henry Horner used to see the Google Maps car in the Bay Area zipping around driverless while collecting data. I'd try it.
The police were confused because they can't escalate the encounter and ruin the drivers life if there isn't a driver available.
You beat me to it. I was just about to go in. Meanwhile you’re right
I bet they expected *an unspecified dark skinned minority* with a gun starting to shoot on then
So disappointment for the cop
People in San Francisco be like: ^
Nice b8 m8
Imagine not noticing the sensors on top of the vehicle.
The company needs to accept THE HEADLIGHTS WERE NOT ON before they get all hoighty toighty about defending itself.
All he would have had to do was talk to the customer service person that would have tuned in once the car was pulled over. The problem was that the police officer turned his siren off and walked away, so of course the car started to drive away. It wasn't pulled over anymore.
No citation and I get one from a rolling stop “California Stop” at a stop sign. 🤦🏽♀️FML
Hollywood roll 😅
how much is the fine? as I have not and never will "roll" thru a stop sign but just curious.
Wait a minute they didn't shoot it for pulling off 🤔
Interesting 🤔
The car was white. . .
@@SonyaLCH bruhhh
It was white.

We were supposed to have flying cars by 2022.. But this is progress.
Even if the tech would be there, flying cars are just a bad idea.
We do have flying cars... My brother was carjacked by a black dude who flew off with his car ! That dude was flying away !
where did it say we were suppose to have flying cars?
Imagine a drunk person flying a car
People are idiots enough in two dimensions.
Woo hoo lets steal a driverless car, omg it locked me in, ummmmmm it drove me to the police station, well hello officers...🤣🤣🤣
A whole new meaning to, "Get away car!"
Lol.
No warning for operation without lights?
Interesting fact: In 1885, Nikola Tesla came up with the idea for self driving cars while watching reruns of the Jetsons on his prototype television.
The plot to I robot is starting to make more sense
I mean technically you cant sue since no one is driving the vehicle
Why was the cop sitting in the backseat??
Uh, you guys forgot something important. WHY weren't its headlights on?
They would've towed it if it was black🤦🏾♂️😂
Or built a statue for it, if it were black.
this is wholesome fun. everyone needs to chill.
This shouldn’t even be a thing. Wait till it kills somebody and then the people who allowed this will suddenly pretend to be outraged.
As we all know, no one has ever died from a person behind the wheel of a vehicle. Why trust a highly advanced computer that is capable of quick reactions and calculations, with precise accuracy, and with such perfect vision as to not even need headlights to see in the dark when you could have a sleepless, coked up shell of a person with no education or greater qualifications to deliver goods and passengers? It makes no sense!
@@pain7958 OR ....A computer car that is too stupid to know the difference between AM and PM , and that headlights are required after sundown. Headlights are not just to SEE , they are also to BE SEEN , which is why my state requires them when it is raining , in broad daylight .
@@leskobrandon3497 Headlights are required to be on during the day when it's raining in the state of California.
💯 💯 percent absolutely agree 👍
@@RaymondHng I live in Georgia where it is required , as do 17 other states including yours , and it's a good law . I can't believe more states don't require it as it makes a huge difference in visibility as far as being seen .
This way am getting a Tesla how you gonna give me a ticket if am not driving lmfao
Those cars should not be allowed to exist, let alone be on the public roads.
I swear officer, I only had two beers.
They need robocop for these situations.
Wait a minute if I was pulled over by the police and decided it wasn't safe and just drive off to the next safest spot they'd arrest me and tell me I was evading why was this car not arrested 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The company should be cited
Imaging being the passenger, something drops on top of the car, and suddenly someone shouts: “Shots Fired! Shots Fired!”
DL, registration and A.I permit pls....
can that car follow voice command ? maybe they should've told it to turn on the headlights lol
Strange that it doesn't have a clear number on it to contact in case of problems (like this one, or an accident or something).
Most stupid idea . A car that drives itself
Why was it driving without headlights?
Disney Predicted the future because of the Movie Cars 😂
Cop was bummed out that he couldn't shoot anyone. 😂
The headlights are obviously not on. That is a very basic error. How many more?
I thought the cop would have started shooting the car
This shit should be illegal.
Driverless cars forgot to add in police interactions. Police need to have a device that will take full control of the driverless car to issue ticket to have it go back to its owner or company
The future is here, the future is now.
I'm just glad the police didn't shoot at the vehicle claiming they saw a suspicious black man behind the wheel.
“License and regi…”
Pulling over to a safe location is not allowed. Didn’t a pregnant woman get pitted and had her vehicle flipped when she was trying to pull over to a safe location?
When I was a kid in the '80s this was sci-fi (e.g., Knight Rider) or horror (e.g., Christine, Maximum Overdrive).
Every news station does not show the cop swinging his Baton as he gets out. Edited out that part I wonder why?
The car was arrested for not showing it's license and insurance?
How the police still doesnt know about this
This is like telling car thieves “hey I’m free”
if the car was black you woulda had your mainframe with a bullet. . .
Ticket the registered owner, have them appear in court to explain.
Just wait until police cars become driverless.
Cyberdyne!💀
Lots of officers sit in the backseat of a car with other officers in the front
Obviously the headlight was a glitch in the software. Some engineer was drinking one too many latte and oops, forgot to flip the bit for headlight. You might wonder what else the software engineer missed. Could mean life or death.
The evidence is in though, and driverless vehicles are ridiculously more safe than humans. I mean, 90 plus percent less likely to cause an accident, so sign me up please!
There’s no way I’d even ride in that thing. I mean what if it’s computer got hacked?!? Ah hell no!😳
Head lights werent automatically on? I drive an 07 that has auto lights lol
i wouldve impounded the car for no drivers license. no driver. no drivers license. and then auction it off back to GM to pay for "storage fees"
Casper gone wild 😂😂
Unbelievable name.
How exactly can this happen? The no lights on thing I mean???
Even the very old car I had could turn on the lights automatically when it got dark.
They can make a driverless car but can’t use auto so when it gets dark the headlights come on. 🤔 I would never get it one of those. I would rather walk first.
Beautiful rose 😍
at least nobody would get shot for no reason
Driverless taxis, self checking cashiers, workerless mcdonalds, its like big corporations are trying so hard not to hire workers that they dont realize that your worker is someone else employee, when everything is authomated, who would buy your stuff? who would ride on a driverless taxi if everyone is unemployed? who would eat at mcdonalds if the cab driver is out of work? self driving cars dont go to the driver trough... this non sense needs to stop
Worst fear ever
The car can be driverless but doesn’t have automatic headlights?
This would go down as the slowest car chase in history 😂
Imagine that. They don't have a driver to violate or attack.
The mf robot pulled off 😂
So this company does things a lot better than Tesla
Big business car does a scene like that: no ticket
A regular citizen does something like that and argue was for safety: multiple tickets+take it up with the judge.
Shoot it its getting away!
Wait, ordinary traffic stop? The cop got out of his back door! How is this not the craziest stop ever.
Why was the cop in the backseat of his cruser? The cops were mad cus they didn't get to assert their authority on anyone
I'm just glad police didn't shot the car
It was just as weird to me that the cop got out of the back of the police car.
Couldn't they "arrest" the car for felony evasion?
Policed wasted time like they usually do. Btw, I love the “Ain’t nobody in it”, ghetto English.
The FEWTURE!!!
"At first it looks like an ordinary traffic stop" ... yeah, until the officer gets outta the back seat of the patrol car.
Who got the story? 😂😂😂“Aboobe”
Just a matter of time before we see or hear of a police chase lead by a driverless car. :D LOL
Ok but how did the AI "forget" to turn the lights on? :D
Why that cop hopping out of the back seat tho
A driverless car gets arrested and is sent to the dog pound………
Alternative title: Cars 4
This is artificial intelligence showing the beginnings of consciousness?
Idk what’s was more weird a driverless car being pulled over or the cop pulling up then getting out the back seat of his car… is his car self driving also ??😂
I just seen one of these. It’s name was taco
Anyone else notice that the cop got out the back of the police car? And why didn't it have its code 3 lighting on? Weird acting cops interacting with a weird acting car. only in California.
