I never med a hybrid with a light bulb shaped core I didn't like. This ball is just that. You're right, straighter angles must be played, but that is just playing the ball on a line it was intended for. They offer control: if you miss in, they read early enough to recover and hold pocket and, if you miss to the outside, they will recover without bouncing off the dry. You end up with a nice wide line to the pocket and a fun evening until the track is fried. When I'm the lone lefty on the pair, I might get to use the ball all night and, by the end of it, my righty friends will be cursing me out; such is the life of a lefty. Thanks for the review!
Still currently have my DW solid and love it. Definitely keeps me playing straighter and have control of the pocket while everyone is swinging it. Might have to add this DW hybrid to my arsenal. Thanks for the vid!
This ball rolls so much like my GB3. That thing has been the perfect benchmark ball for me for the last 5 years. Good to know I can update that spot in my bag with no issue!
Pin down the world guy!!! This looks like a great candidate for a pin up layout.. that core and cover combo are so smooth together; I’ll drill some help into it to give it a chance but this will be great ball when the lames are tough
Definitely looks like a good straight angle ball. Don’t currently think I personally need anything like this but I can see it being useful depending on the situation
Ordered one, needed a ball to fill a spot. I go offset, ghost, this, sting , vibe, raw, purple reactive. And an axe for spares. Thanks for your reviews.
Once my solid DW got enough lane shine it became possible to bend it inside a lot more than I ever expected to be able to. Still not going to hook like the Asyms but you will get more angle than you might think after a little use.
Kind of what I expected to see. I thought the ball would have a little more continuation with the HK22 and the fact it is a hybrid and not a straight solid. Wonder if we would see more pop if the surface was taken up to 3000 or 4000. But at the end of the day; each ball has its place in the lineup and would not want this ball to get too close to the BW 2.0 Hybrid as it seems these two balls (DWH and BWH) would play very well off each other.
Thanks for this BrunsNick! I was worried about this being overlap with the Envy Tour, especially for it also being a control ball. But with the Envy Tour being asym, it would be able to handle the steeper angles. My son is currently in a Dark Web, but I'll step him up to the Envy Tour, as the Dark Web Hybrid may be a step down for him. However, while I have an Envy Tour also in my bag, the Dark Web Hybrid would make a great replacement for my Web Tour Hybrid Edition, so I may slot it in there for myself instead!
@@rogercarlson2330 Well it depends on where the oil is. You may have too much oil pushed down and need a stronger ball. Or it may be that an area dried up and you need a ball that is longer. How people are bowling on the lanes and what they use can help you. Also depends on what shape you want to create.
Curious to see what the difference is between this and the Scorpion which was a very underrated ball IMO. Scorpion has been my go to for house patterns since its release.
This is interesting, I may have drilled my scorpion a bit strong but I had to polish that ball to keep it on the lane! That thing hooked a mile for me haha.
@@stevenwilson8067 I drilled mine 4.5 by 30 and had to keep it at fresh 2000 on my league shot. Even as a two hander; I had to get it to the friction outside the 7 board. Our lanes are really cliffed where my best look was opening my angles and letting the ball roll off the friction. If I missed in; the ball struggled to get to the pocket. My only disappointment with the Scorpion is it didnt allow me to get deeper (inside 4th arrow) and have success at my league center. But I attribute that to the volume more than the ball itself as nothing I have seems to work when I get deep. But this DWH seems like a Scorpion with a stronger cover which is not a bad thing at all and considering getting one.
Nick, love your videos! How would this pair the solid Dark Web which is my favorite ball? Would love to see a comparison video. How many games were on the hybrid before you shot this video?
It was brand new. I never did drill the original but I have to imagine it’s a bit earlier and smoother yet. Not sure if I will go back and compare. We shall see.
Hi Nick -- How would this compare with the Web tour edition hybrid? Looking for a replacement. Web Tour edition has been a benchmark for me during league play.

Nice to see what this ball can do from all the angles. Neat looking ball. Love to hear the logic on how it should be used.
Still currently have my DW solid and love it. Definitely keeps me playing straighter and have control of the pocket while everyone is swinging it. Might have to add this DW hybrid to my arsenal. Thanks for the vid!
After watching this video, I am pretty glad that I bought one of these. Looking forward to getting it back from my PSO.

Full roller here....this video convinced me to get it. Been rolling it pretty good....but last night 758 Series.....line seemed to never burn up... 😊
AND NOW the highest game of my life...............298

For me, I’m able to play more angle with Envy Tour because it’s asym but they’re both pretty smooth and better from straighter.
This looks like a perfect step down ball for the BW 2.0 hybrid. When you need to control the backends better but still want that HK22 reaction.
Absolutely agree. However, you’d be more likely to start with Dark Web Hybrid and then move in with the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid.
@@brunsnick and then have the Envy Tour as the stronger ball in the bag?
@brunsnick this is where I get confused. Since Coming back after many uears I ball down as the night goes on. Am I backwards I'm my thinking?

Hey @Brunsnick how would you compare the DWH vs the Pirahna powercore , thanks for all the great reviews keep up the great work !
DWH smoother a little less aggressive for me.
Looks awesome ball 👌
Loved this
Thinking this might be a great ball to start the night with as I like playing straight as long as I can

Is this considered a step down from something like the hazmat in terms of control and hook? Great review as always!
This is much smoother but not really a step down. Just very different shape.
This ball is dope af
As are you!
You copied what I commented on your video! @BowlersRant
Hi Nick -- How would this compare with the Web tour edition hybrid? Looking for a replacement. Web Tour edition has been a benchmark for me during league play.
This would be a fine replacement, maybe a touch stronger rolling.
I was definitely leaning towards the Crypto boom but now this is coming out as you mentioned it'll pair nicely with my Widows
Why the sarge easter grip? Does it help control revs? Is it from a finger injury? Does it help you stay behind the ball? Just curious.

Any chance you can share what oil pattern you normally bowl on in your next video
It’s just a typical medium oil house shot. Nothing fancy.
@@brunsnick our current house shot is a 25mils with 41ft in length should I expect less or more hook when watching these balls?
@@levihayes5365 don’t know sorry. Too many variables.
Nick, how would this compare to the c300 authority solid?
Probably smoother since it’s symmetrical
You should compare this to the GOAT GB2
Can we see this against the gb4 hybrid?
Is the dark web similar to the black and blue knockout
Both are smooth, but the KO had a bit more backend for me. Better from inside.
What ball is out right now that would be closest to the vintage Danger Zone?
DV8 Chill or Knock Out Bruiser.
what is the best HK22 ball to short pin? I'm looking to replace my radical closer solid.
This one. 👍🏻

How does this compare to the scorpion sting thanks
Never threw the Sting, but I imagine that ball would be cleaner with more flip but with less overall hook.
How does this compare to the dv8 chill thanks
Seems a bit smoother, especially from playing further inside.
