@richardajoy79 I noticed the price hike but I've also found some really good deals for ships that I likely wouldn't normally have bought otherwise so it's give and take. Makes you have to regularly check for good deals.
Already signed on, but happy to see they are delivering on the quality I hoped for. Great review, subscribed and looking forward to getting future updates on later releases! LL&P
I just put my order in a few minutes ago and came to find this video as I saw you did it the other day. They are pricey but I'll tell you they likely went out of business because of the low prices and massive amount of model types
U lucky SOB. I notice that they didn't fix the missing delta on the Titan's side pennants... naughty. I can see there's a slight difference to the bussard colour of both ships, orange-ish with the Titan and more red with the Stargazer, which is a nice touch. I'm subbing, so I don't miss out but I won't keep every ship, the ones I don't want I'll sell but only for what I paid, plus shipping.
Ive got a fairly decent collection of the eaglemoss collection, and really hope they do a better job at keeping the stock of the ships up. as some of the ships i really wanted never came into stock after the initial run of the model
@@lezking5060that is how it works these days. All you can do is subscribe to ensure that you get what you want, then sell the ones you don't want. There will always be buyers out there who did not subscribe.
@@lezking5060you do realize that the Master Replicas was just what was left after the bankruptcy, right? How were they supposed to keep the stock up?
I still don't understand how Riker's Titan changed to a completely different constitution ship as a "refit", but... I do absolutely love the Titan-A's design. Will definitely be getting the Enterprise G version!
I subscribed back in September. I admit these look fantastic and more detailed. Thankfully only another 3 weeks before the official shipping date! But you’re lucky that you have the Stargazer too because thats another month at least for most people including subscribers.
It's strange to compare with Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection ) Eaglemoss released Star Trek Universe: The Official Starships Collection and Star Trek Universe: The Official Starships Collection. It would be more logical to compare with these collections )
I've already pre-ordered the subscription Fanhome's Starships Collection, mostly to ensure that I can get the XL Enterprise-F (because, as you said, non-subs have to wait a month and it will be "as supplies last"). There are a few others I really want from this Collection, like Protostar, Stargazer, and any ship that originated from Star Trek Online, but I don't know if I'll be sticking with it the entire time or if I'll eventually cancel. That'll likely depend on what some of the remaining to-be-announced models will end up being. I do wish Fanhome hadn't opted to stick with the larger size for the standard issue models. These are comparable to Eaglemoss' mid-size models, but of course Eaglemoss also abandoned the original 5.5 inch model size and made the mid-sized ones the new standard when they began doing the Discovery, Picard, and Lower Decks Collections. Their reasoning what that the 3D models of the ships from the newer shows had so much more detail that it would be hard to capture that in the smaller original size, but with that came the price increase on the collection. But I liked having the option of getting those smaller models, they were less expensive and took up less shelf space so I could be less picky. I could buy the ones I liked in the smaller size, but the ships I really liked I'd splurge more for the larger size. I would think Fanhome would've been interested in producing models in the original Collection's size scale too, because, as you said, prices of materials and shipping internationally have only gone up over the past few years. And I agree with you that I don't like how they're doing the XL's as part of the standard collection because every 4 months you're going to have to spend that much more. Though I guess a lot of that is because they don't seem to doing standard size versions of those XLs like Eaglemoss did. Enterprise-F, Enterprise-G, Protostar, and Voyager-A are all being released in the XL size, but there doesn't seem to be any indication of them being released in the standard size as well (except the Constitution III, but the standard is Titan-A and the XL is Enterprise-G so technically they are different ships). Though I could be wrong about this, we still don't know every ship that will be part of the Collection so standard sized versions of those XL could be announced later. Overall, I am very excited to see a new Starships Collection happening. But most of that comes from getting the XL Enterprise-F and some other STO-original ships. We know that the Pathfinder class USS Eaves will be as subscriber reward, which makes me suspect (and hope) that USS Voyager-B will be part of the main collection. Star Trek Picard canonize several in seasons 2 and 3, I'd love to see the Gagarin, Reliant, Sutherland, and Ross classes be included in this as well.
Don't forget a cheaper price and free shipping with a subscription, plus some nifty free gifts along the way! I have been wrapping up my Star Trek Online Collection, the ones I want. It is kind of hard to get some with the magazines, which are a must for me. I am having a hard time getting the Pathfinder magazine, and I got burned trying to get the Romulan Aeluhl ship's magazine. People lie in their descriptions on Ebay about the magazine. Still, it is such a beautiful line of ships. I am not trying to get the Enterprise F since Fanhome is doing it.
I was only able to get the Enterprise A and the Excelsior from Eaglemoss and the other company that made them. Wanted to get more, but I just couldn’t really afford them. Had also really wanted to get the Orville and the Battlestar Galactica, but never did :/ Out of those two, I would get the Sagon Class USS Stargazer. Thought it was a neat looking ship. Frustrating that these companies have more ships out than the Star Trek Hallmark series. Hallmark Star Trek still has so many ships and characters that they still haven’t done yet. I am going to get this years Enterprise B and Captain Pike ornaments.
I'm excited for these! I will probably cancel my subscription at certain points and restart it later based on what ships are available. I'm mostly focused on the "hero" ships. I also just ordered a few of the older eaglemoss ships that I had missed out on. Got the Prometheus, Thunderchild (Akira), and original (Picard's command) Stargazer coming in about a week. There are a few more eaglemoss ships that I will probably grab like the luna class Titan, the Delta Flyer, Strange New World's Enterprise (if Fanhome doesn't make one), DS9, and then maybe for fun the Enterprise XCV-330 and Enterprise-J. I also want to get the Cerritos but will need to wait for Fanhome to hopefully make one since all the eaglemoss ones I can find are too expensive.
So, they still haven't bothered to fix fhe window alignment issue that plagued Eaglemoss. That's disappointing. Thought Fanhome would take the time and care to do better, especially at the prices they're asking.
I would love to get this collection, but Fanhome is more expensive than eaglemoss. At this point, I just want to get my hands on an Assimilated Voyager

This "subscription" basis is a flawed business model, as Eaglemoss found out. Instead of trying to squeeze as much money out of their customers as possible, by setting the price so high (and attempting to justify it because of the "increased size"), they should have made them more "reasonable", which would improve the perceived value for money, and lead to higher sales overall (and ultimately, a more healthy, sustainable, profit, and better company image).
