Picking out fabrics is one of my favorite things about quilting! Great watching your process today. Thanks!
I like the bow on top too. I like your blue fabric for the Abby. So pretty! Thanks for sharing your process of choosing fabrics. It makes me think out of the box.
Love the London Town fabrics--your quilt will be so cute! Can't wait until Monday to see your Westminster Abbey block!
I like how the red bow at the top of wreath block offsets the red pinwheels. I'm good with longer videos, especially when you share how you choose fabrics.
Lots of lovely gifts from friends. 🥰
Love the Jolly Bar Quilt! The Wreath block looks good with the bow at top. When we hang a grapevine Christmas Wreath it has the bow at the bottom. The Quilt fabric is beautiful! Thanks for the videos! 💕
love seeing your goodies received in the mail ...you deserve them all ...thx for all you do Pat and have a terrific day!
I like the bow at the bottom as it highlights the red pinwheels below. Your quilt Pat so definitely do it your way.
I love watching you choose fabrics for quilts. It is a skill that I struggle with, but you have definitely honed the skill. Your quilts always come out beautifully Pat.
Bows are often at the bottom of wreaths, but I think it looks better on top on your quilt. It speads the red out on it so it's not so close to thecred pinwheels.
Hello Pat. Got my book as soon as I heard you were making London Town. I got to chat with the designer via message because I wasn’t sure if this was paper pieced or not. I’ve not tried paper piecing yet 😊. I think making it slower with the holidays coming is a great idea. Keeps it moving even at a slower pace 🐢. We all know who won the race 🐢 🐇 . Love your process of picking fabrics for Westminster Abby. I haven’t done Jelly Roll Saturday because I’ve been traveling home from Riley Blake’s Garden of Quilts in Utah for the last 2 years. This year I did not go but sure missed the lovely drive. We’re having a quilt festival in Pleasanton on Saturday so I might just have to buy a jelly roll. Have a blessed day ~Martha San Jose, California
Love your Abbey fabric! I think the Abbey block would be beautiful if it was a quilt in itself. 😊
Your friend from Korea was SO generous and thoughtful!
Love watching you open all the gifts!
Good morning. I enjoy watching you choose fabric and watch your excitement as you find a piece for a specific motif ( the teal fabric for the trees). On the Jolly Bar quilt, the wreath block is a size that would work wonderfully as a single block wall hanging. I have the Starberry line and I do love the color of the greens. Hope you have a lovely weekend.
The book on London is a beautiful quilt
I bought the Londontown book, plan to make two quilts using this book. One of them will be for my best friend, her sister’s family lives in Great Britain, her niece represented GB this year at the Paris Olympics. I think I’m going to use my precious Tilda stash too.
I’m liking stitching the Starberry. Holly jolly.
So fun a British quilt, I got the quilt pattern Her Maj, short for her majesty, so I am collecting up plaids and British fabrics… to make some semblance of it. Can’t wait to see yours, it is going to be awesome! Gotta have some of the gold horses! The Queen loved her horses. Yes the house is low contract, I think it follows British rules of subtle colors, nothing too bright or shocking, plus I assume she was trying to make it look perhaps like stonework.
I did buy the book for London Town. Two Blocks a month seems reasonable for me I think. With the Christmas Jolly Bar Book and Block Wednesday. I was going to start the quilt along of Susan Ache and Lisa Alexsander. (The quilt on the front of the book) But it is several blocks a week so I might put it off for awhile. I am not a fast quilter. I will do what I can! I am learning to enjoy the journey!
I'm going to use the fabric that I bought when I visited Paris, London, and Brussels several years ago. I have been holding it for something special and I think this will be perfect.
I am so tempted to do this sew along but I just can’t right now, so I will live vicariously through all of you! Aside: Why does Trader Joe’s ALWAYS have awful parking lots??? They do have some great products-I recently tried their cheese twists and they were scrumptious! I only go about twice a year though. It isn’t in a convenient location and as Pat said, the parking is horrible!
Every pattern in this book is delish!!
I like the bow on the top… very cute! Arrrrrrr!
The mushroom lights are adorable 🍄 😊
I like the bow on the top.
My bows are always at the top of the wreath! Plus, the pop of red is needed in that spot.
2 blocks a month for London Town is doable, along with Block Wednesday and Jolly Bar Christmas sew alongs.
I love the bow at the top of the wreath ❤
I'm on a roll! "London Town" will be the 2nd QAL of yours I'll be following "as it happens" but with a twist: when you work on this, I'll be cross stitching Erin Elizabeth's "English Tier". I used today to gather and floss drop my threads.😊
Awesome show. And all the love you have received today. You deserve it all Pat. ❤😘
I got my London book last week and have the Jubilee fabric from Tilda that I might use. Our main bathroom is being renovated, and it has impacted the rest of the house and my sewing area, so I hope I can do the quilt with you. I was in London in 1983 with a school group (4 countries in 7 days) and want to go back!
I like the bow at the top as well!
I am so excited to start London Town with you! I am using Tilda's Hometown fabrics.
Pat I’m really intrigued with the London Quilt, I think I’m going to jump on and make it. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️🙂
I like the bow at the top!
Just a suggestion based io having used Tana Lawn Liberty fabric in a quilt… STARCH is your friend. The fabric is so fine that starching it helped tremendously.
Bow at the top absolutely.
I think it looks more balanced with the bow at the top.
Love the Korean coffee cup! You are so lucky. ❤
You Enrich our lives, Pat!
Hi Pat, I liked the idea of just making 2 blocks a month for the London town. Since I work full-time, it is hard for me to keep up with the SALs sometimes 😊
A couple blocks a month would be wonderful
Ask where the gummies came from! My grandson loves Jurassic Park and gummies😂❤😊
Bow at the top.
Great show!
bow on top!
Now at bottom where it shows off the red bow. The bottom blends into the quilt so the bow disappears!
Morning, My daughter teacher dresses up for her class.
I think I’d like to work on the Londontown Sew along if you don’t make more than two a month. The blocks look Complicated with small parts. That always takes more time. My grandson was born in London and came back to America at four months. He’s nine now and says he’s been hiding his London accent. Aren’t kids the best?
Great video today.
Westminster Abbey is made of golden brown stone, so the blue doesn't work for me. I hope you don't change the the color of the red double decker buses.
I like the idea of changing up colors 🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍❤️😊
I agree golden brown should be the colour for Westminster Abbey . It’s such a special place.
Question: does the London Town Sampler have very many small pieces? I agree with you Pat, bow on the top. Enjoy your weekend.🙂
How at the top on the wreath! 😍
Goodness this is early 😮
Have you ever designed a line of Christmas fabric?
Good morning
HST’s should be turned at the sides
Hi Pat, are you planning on making all of the London Town blocks? I want to join, but not sure I want to make all of the blocs, so wondering what your plan is. Thanks!
