Looks like a lot of fun, we can get stalks from local farms and pumpkins. It's always more fun to get them from a farm than a produce stand.😊

Love the caladium urn. Poor old sedums! Red pansies?? I'm like you..don't really use red in my yard but those dark red pansies are really pretty! I love planting purple kale in fall urns. The containers are beautiful! I wish there was a way for Laura to film close up how she squishes so many plants in one container. I have tried but I end up with the plants not having enough soil around the root balls. I’m a beginner gardener so I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it.

Also what about planting string beans with the corn and squash like the Native Americans did. I heard they did this to keep them from flopping , the beans had a pole to climb and the squash kept the weeds out.

Im curious about the ornamental corn. What will you use them for? Can the corn be consumed? It would make beautiful popcorn! And the caladium- are they always annuals? I’m in zone 7b and have been wanting to put some in a shade garden.

I just transplanted my autumn flame sedum to my back yard which is dryer and southeast facing. It flopped because of too much fertilizer (from year before) and also too much water from having to give water to surrounding plants. They are so happy even after the transplant.

I did an experiment this year with caladiums, one in a pot, the other in the ground, both get mostly shade, a few hours of morning sun. The one in the ground is huge and gorgeous. The one in a pot is nice, but 3 times smaller. Hope you try it in the ground!
