This is genius. The opening lead and then the solo. The vocals are an acquired taste, like beer. I used to hate them back in 09 with the exodus but over time you get used to it, then u actually feel like you need them to be this harsh. I love this band and I think they are way under rated....why doesn't this have more views....
Yea, I'm pretty sure this vocalist was originally in Glass Casket. I liked him in that band a lot, but Wretched fell from my favorite band when he stepped in.
1. Cannibal 2. Beyond the Gate 3. The Exodus of Autonomy 4. Son of Perdition While Son of Perdition is my least favorite Wretched album, it is by no means a bad album. It's still better than 90% of music you hear on the radio. It still has the overarching musical overtures that we loved from EoA and BtG, they were merely trying to push forward with a new sound while trying to maintain the things that people liked from the original albums. But, Cannibal? That shit is amazing and I appreciate the variety of sounds on the album while still having a distinct theme and it keeps me interested through the entire album. Love Wretched, got the EoA album art on my arm. Adam Cody and Steven Funderbark are good dudes.
Man - I am so fucking old. I remember listening to you guys way back in like... '09? Y'all used to have that badass studio documentary that I used to watch constantly.
I asked them why had it been so long since they toured at concert in 2018. They're just working and trying to live. Evidently, touring won't pay the bills.
Not sure about the hate for Son of Perdition, I listen to it front to back no interruptions and love the change of paces in it. It's one of my favorite albums ever from any artist ever, and easily my favorite of theirs.
Compared to Exodus and Beyond the Gate it sounded pretty generic with basic rash vocals seen in every other extreme melo death band. This album definitely brings it back to the melodic Latin undertones that BtG had.
@@hiblast629 well I started with SOP, so it was my base and it was also my gateway into prog death. I'm also not that huge of a death metal fan unless it posses progressive elements. I'm old school metal where it's all about guitar riffs, but thanks for trying to explain the comments.
@@michaelhassler7446This isn't really prog metal like dream theatre or C&C are. This is more deathcore/tech death, but if you liked SoP then I recommend the bands Through the Eyes of the Dead and I also highly recommend Beyond Creation.
Sorry, I should have said tech death, instead of prog death, just finished a 10 hour day of driving without many breaks. Anyone know anything about their new album? Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check them out sometime...what are their best songs that you think I might dig?
@@michaelhassler7446 For TTEoTD start with their first album first song Two inches from a main artery, and for Beyond Creation start with _'The Arua'_ or _'Earthborn Evolution'_
Haha thats too sick to the see the vocalist of a death metal band wear a NOFX shirt. Glad i just discovered this band and the fairly new hardcore band Wretched.Tis a good night indeed \m/
damn rite Guys. He's saying that he found the thrash-death band Wretched on the same night that he found the HARDCORE band Wretched. These are TWO DIFFERENT BANDS with the SAME NAME.
I miss the old vocalist but this album is just as good as their first two. Is anyone else just not a fan of son of perdition like I am? I feel like it sounds like the least Wretched-y album, I actually despise it. Except for the instrumentals that album blows. At least they came back on this one, and it's a great album IMO, of course.
I'd give this 3.5/5. The older tunes were just amazing vocal and guitar-wise. This is still really good, I just think TEOA and BTG were better albums. Son of Perdition was weak, so this is DEFINITELY an improvement!
Good album, but definitely their weakest work to date. It's hard to stand up to masterpieces like "Beyond the Gate", "Exodus of Autonomy", and "Son of Perdition".
This album is stronger than SOP in my opinion. They made some bad choices with that album. Repeat, Imminent and Dreams were all great songs but the rest were lackig and the production was absolutely wretched, if you'll excuse the pun. BTG and EOA were both masterpieces though, I think they need to get back to that. I wish they would get John and becoming a face crushing 3 guitarist band.
+elasdickband027 Agreed. Son of Perdition wasn't all that great. This album has better melodies and riffage. Overall it's more memorable than SOP, in my opinion
nice song title. not sure if the lyrics follow the title as subject. good at whatever youre doing. but im not into it cause its all "tech-wank" feelingless barely scratches the surface for me
Timothy Doss It's difficult to deal with 'hero-worshippers'. In reality, this music (whatever material you call it) just doesn't sound that great. I wonder how you developed a taste for such music.

@@MetalMetalRob Eh, I feel like he's improved since Son of Perdition. And the instrumentals definitely rival Exodus.
I really need a new album
OTW!
@@WRETCHEDNC Just saw this comment and it made my day. Can't wait.
Killer video!! Really enjoyed your set at the Rockstar Mayhem Festival at Darien lake in Buffalo NY. Metal at its finest. \m/
This album is awesome!!!
1. Cannibal
2. Beyond the Gate
3. The Exodus of Autonomy
4. Son of Perdition

high school was badass lol
really hope they end up making a new album
I like Adam vocals better than the other guy, i guess we're gonna keep on waiting for a new Glass Casket album.
Is Adam wearing a NOFX shirt? I love NOFX.
True Metal Gods. Please more... MORE!!!
if you guys like the vocalist check out his previous project called Glass Casket. I believe 2 members from that band are in BTBAM.
Blake and Dustie!
Wow. Victory records have death metal band? This band is good.
Gursong Chris Yoo 여기서 뭐하냐 ㅋㅋㅋ
What happened to these guys??? So good....
I asked them why had it been so long since they toured at concert in 2018. They're just working and trying to live. Evidently, touring won't pay the bills.
Amazing!
Beautiful
So awesome
One of the great metal growls
Adam cody
Danny Griner he sounds like a dead on mix of davy and strnad
The aspect when you know that youll love this fucking song by first second of play

I made a distinction lol
There is a hardcore band called Wretched.
wyatt jack thank you for correcting that fool there just straight up metal Mr janeydoe

reminds me of Fallujah, which is good but bummed there's no more neo-classical type breakdowns anymore :/
This should signify true "death" "core". These guys have true melodic death metal infused with real hxc vocals. Points for the nofx shirt too
Who agrees that the exodus of autonomy is the best?
I feel that album really had its own unique feel and sound. This new stuff reminds me more of Black Dahlia, but its still really good.
beyond the gate has exodus of autonomy's feel but written better. Beyond the Gate FTW!
That album is a masterpiece. New stuff is cool, the vocalist is better than the original but I honestly miss the old Wretched.

i personally do not like the new vocalist.. he cant pull off the old stuff as good live
Booyah!!!
Uhh Lol system of the down put this song as a playlist and now im not even a teen and im listening to this da fuaq!
What happened to this banda?
Wetiko happened.
neat summary of my current socio-political analysis. thanks
first i discover Rivers Of Nihil, then Allegaeon... and now this band. what's with the death metal bands having a bald, bearded singer? O.o
I Used to listen too this sh*t back in the 80's!!! Long gone fella's...
I miss Billy Powers being the vocalist.
That intro solo should ask for consent first before coming in like that.
Why oh why do I see slow motion in music videos!? My brain doesn't/can't/won't compute it. Ever.

Thomas Pridemore I am sure you are going to get a lot of likes for that comment from people who promote this music.
fuah!, the singer is sucks!!!, no guy thats is not good definitely. Sorry but is truth.
