@@timothyquinn5520 I second that, you should listen to Antediluvian Annihilation by Xoth. That bass solo is insane, it sets in around 4 minutes into the song
JoePonji This is why I got a 6 string bass! I’m so happy to see a band actually use a 6 string bass this way. I always imagined having solo’s when I got my 6 string. Could you recommend more songs / bands that use 6 string bass’s to their fullest? Thanks!
One of the coolest bands I've had the pleasure to play with! The most badass musicians I've ever met and were so super kind! Their English wasn't as strong as their playing (which was mind blowing!) but I think we made friends that day. I'll never forget these guys!
Getting a definite Carcass vibe off these guys. Like Sanguine Article days. I mean, these guys kind of make Carcass look like AC/DC from a technical standpoint, but the hair and the video setting reminds me of No Love Lost.
Shampoo maybe three to four times a week, condition every time you shampoo, and if your hair is dirty on a day you don't shampoo, just use conditioner. Soak with hot/warm to open hair follicles, and always rinse cold to close hair follicles. I've dated four different hair stylists. The methods never changed. 😉
Just got myself a new set of studio headphones 🎧 Thought this is the best way to test them out. Honestly haven't heard Beyond Creation properly in years The best way to hear this band is through overear headset or LIVE!!
I'm just thankful that on a metal album you can actually hear the bass guitar. The fretless does make it cooler, but just hearing it in the mix is wonderful.
Beyond Creation & Obscura both are killer Techinical Death Metal bands in my book these dudes know how to Rock n Kick Ass with their sound ! Think Chuck would be proud .
The second coming to Christ (Death) is definitely Beyond Creation, has that intensity, has the best bassists, amazing guitarists, most underrated drummer in extreme metal history
This song is amazing from start to finish! The vocals are amazing, the drumming is amazing the guitar solos are amazing, and I hate to overstate the obvious, but THERE'S A FUCKING BASS SOLO!!! Has Mike Flores of Origin heard this song?
Time ago I worked as a school music teacher and between the kids it was a near to 100% deaf little girl. First day I was told by her mother that she may have some difficulties to keep up with the music lessons as she had never reacted to any music at all, and it was true. Some day I brought a big amplifier and stereo and threw this track full throttle. She reacted, and even started to interact rythmically. Guess it was the vibration the double bass drum and heavy guitars produced at that (somehow crazy) volume wich made it perceptible at some point. Her mother came next day asking for what music it was, as the kid told them at home that she had "listened to music". Since then your music became her undisputed favorite and some years later I'm sure she still rocks to this!
Saw them in 2019 with Obscura headlining, fantastic show! Drummer is a cool dude as i spoke with him before set. Ne Obliviscaris was there among others, was a show i could not miss! New(er) bassist is right up there as the original player. Talented players all around!
I wish more metal videos were like this. It sucks to watch videos that when the solo kicks off it zooms in on a generic horror image instead of the intricate guitar/drum work..Thumbs way up to this
Loved this song from the first time I've heard it back in 2013. Came back after years to the video to find out we are living in a world where a masterpiece like this has 200k views and mascots of plastic surgery and wandering marionets of idiocrazy get hyped .. does this hurt or make it special. Im not sure sometimes. Dont think, take another whisky and enjoy this passion.
I'm not the biggest fan of 8 string guitars but this is fucking amazing. The bass is incredible reminds of DEATH individual thought patterns album that dude used a fretless 4 string, they just have such smooth and balanced sound.

Obscura - Septuagint have a cool bass break
Gotdamn. Technical death metal is hard to do. But when done masterfully, it's the most perfect thing ever.
That bass player though
[ROTN] PHESTERED lapointe is a beast man
curious if steve digiorgio is his fav bassist.
It's a shame the bass player quit the band FeelsBadMan
he is actually he filled in for him in Quo Vadis, in interviews i believe he said Digorgio and Steve Harris were his inspirations
No words.
If I don't listen to this at least once a day, I mark that day as lost.
deviantan021 u still do that after 3 years or u lost some days ?
He just listens to it 2x the next day. Thats what i do
It has been 5 years. Tell me.. how many days have you lost?

@iseeyou3352 Their accents were very strong, too strong for a simp American like myself to understand haha. They were awesome people regardless.
Getting a definite Carcass vibe off these guys. Like Sanguine Article days. I mean, these guys kind of make Carcass look like AC/DC from a technical standpoint, but the hair and the video setting reminds me of No Love Lost.
Having a fretless bass makes this sound sound so much better
The shots of the strings being played are mesmerizing. I love that
God, that fretless adds an entirely different dimension of sound and it's beautiful
All here taking about how great players and instrumentalists they are and missing a key point.
How their hairs are fabulous!
Especcially the semi-bald guy haha
Dominic "Forest" Lapointe is a fucking godly bassist
This should be a shampoo and hair conditioner commercial
I for real wanna know what they use, because theirs looks MUCH nicer than mine.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Silky smooth..

Run, forest, run XD
Lapointe's playing is on point
Forest in a forest, sounds like a good song title
0:00 to 6:12 is my favorite part
I think the vocals are fine and I think this is one of the best well written death metal songs ive heard in quite awhile.

After 9 years it's still fucking godly piece of art!
Iconic groovy bass song! Should be teaching material at every music school.
4:17 Drop That Fretless Bass Solo!
Melhor banda de tecnical Death metal
For people who dont know, Forest (The bassist) has 2 other bands called First fragment and Teramobil which i would really suggest checking out.
I also saw him play with Augury years ago. Wasn't expecting it. Was more than pleased though
Yeah, I've been playing bass for almost 30 years, and Forest puts me to shame. His dexterity and precision are insane.
Thabk you dear they're two awesome band. Really appreciate your suggestion
Why did he leavy beyond creation?
Also, augury
That fretless bass guitar sounds absolutely killer!
2:49-3:33 - epitome of eargasm! That drumming just was from another dimension :D
These guys are quite something. I think they were doing amazing for how young they were and the time they were in. Really nice metal.
best metal song of the 2010s, maybe of this century
They are all so.Damn.Talented.

That bass solo brought tears to my eyes for 2 reasons:
1. Because it’s magical
2. Because I know inside I’ll never be able to recreate it myself 😂
This song is such a masterpiece.
Been jamming these guys for years. They are a BAND in every sense of the word! Plus that bass though... Amazing!
This bass tone and sound is God mode. I listen to this track atleast 3x a week since release and it NEVER gets old!!!!!!
One of the *very* few Death Metal bands I hold in the same regard as Death themselves.
Necrophagist
Blood Incantation
This song is truly amazing I check in on it roughly once every 6 months or so. It’s still doing well after about 4 years!

This isn't a slight at the rest of the band, but god that bass sound is all I wanna hear. God tier.
A lot has been said about the bass player, but little has been said about his amazing hair
I love that I can hear the bass, sounds awesome
The string shots are just to awesome.
The best complite vocal, guitar, bassis and percusion.

He probably has, I spoke to Mike, he doesn't do playthroughs because he thinks it's not necessary. There's always someone better than you.
