Bad? I agree.
I know right I miss when television was magical
Parent Hood, Wayans Brothers, Jamie Foxx, Sister Sister, Steve Harvey, and Smart Guy were some of my favorite shows.
Didn't they also have that show Nick Freno, Licensed teacher?
If you aren’t lying right now you have zero taste
Ironically, the WB ended all their black shows by the mid '00s, a year or two before the WB ended and merged with UPN to turn into the CW.
I read the comments on all my old school shows and commercials. This era must have really had an effect on us. Everyone wants to go back to the 90s...amazing!
Yes i came directly looking for this one!
Well, that was old school we're in New school.
HOLY CRAP that just took me back! More proof that the 90s were so friggin awesome.
R.I.P John Witherspoon
😢
I'm so glad i grew up in the 90s
It was pure magic 💙
Can't believe the great work they did promoting The WB. Especially compared the nothing that UPN did at the same time.
I agree. _We're the Network for the Next Century, Baby_ ain't enough.
To be kid again during this era😢😢. The best!!
It's A Dubba Dubba WB Christmas. Merry Christmas From The WB.
WB was a classier fox. Better channel than the CW now that took it's place.
Nathan Ventura I feel the same way as you, 'Cuz I also miss the WB and I hate CW so much.
You're so right. I miss the WB so much it was way better than CW.
You are so right Nathan.
@@giovannigonzales5152 yup I was 7 when the WB launched it was greatest network ever

Oh how black and white people are united in this, such fun, such good times 😂
It's like Tracy Turnblad kept saying
2, 4, 6, 8, TV'S GOTTA INTEGRATE!
Mitch Mullany was so cute & funny, still can't believe that he's gone.
RIP to John Witherspoon aka Pops as well.
Neither can I. His character was the reason I decided to become a teacher.
I love the WB. They need to bring it back
Yeah
BIG TIME.
back when they had some black shows
@TheHumanSpeciesIsAPlague NotMeantToBeInExistence Damn, you got triggered by a 1 year old comment. I realized there is BET. I wasnt complaining. I just mentioning that they had a lot of black shows in the WB and UPN days compared to now. Get it?
They got hella black shows stupid ass
@@mikevick5399 it was a joke. relax buddy. there arent a lot of black shows compared to upn days which I was talking about. try to keep up.

Nice to see them actually acknowledge the cartoons.
I miss when WB was this awsome!
Ahhhh wen Hollywood actually made shows with other ethnicities.. u don't miss it til it's gone *tear*
You're right.
Wish all these shows were on dvd or back in syndication, especially Brotherly Love & Nick Freno.
YES....i wish we could find the less remembered ones on dvd or at least on streaming now.
Jodie Sweetin, then known for _Full House_ and the then-running _Jodie_ both on ABC, guest starred on the former. Wolf whistle!!!!
Take me back!!!! I miss this so much :(
I remember WB hyping the hell out of Savanah......and then Unhappily Ever After roasting the shit out of the show after it got cancelled.
WB was raw like that

This was less than 3 minutes but felt like a half hour, lol, I thought Sister Sister was an ABC show, but well, now I see it was from WB

Too bad "Savannah" didn't last beyond its second season...it had enormous potential to be the next "Dynasty." Jamie Luner, Shannon Strurges, and Robyn Lively were hot!

@@FaytLinegod well before that she went on to play Lexi on Melrose Place

Holy crap where did you get this from? This quality is amazing!!
I loved watching The Steve Harvey Show on The WB when I was a tadpole (baby)! Why did the WB have to shut down in 2006?!?!?!? WHY THE FUCK THE CW?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Wow for this being from 1996 the quality is absolutely amazing and it looks really great also love the cameos from Porky Pinky and The Brain and the Warner's overall this whole video was definitely like discovering a nostalgic treasure even though I wasn't born yet when this network still existed but nevertheless I'm gald that I get to experience and witnesses what it was like back in the day
You're right, the quality is amazing. This can't just be a VHS rip.. wonder how they got ahold of this.
@@forkyforkalso those three lovely looking ladies who are featured in the thumbnail of this video where what initially chaught my attention when coming across and discovering this video's existence I also thought that one of the ladies looked like Bernadette Peters manly due to her having curly hair like she does but obviously of course I know that it isn't her but I sure thought it was her at first when I first watched this video
This was my favorite promo, though I liked where the father from Unhappily Ever After (I think) was counting the "dubbas".
Man what a time to be alive! I know all them had so much fun! Not a worry in the world

Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered in mid-season, 1997. Good God. 23 years???!!!

Hey, do you have the full Dubba Dance promo?
Can we take a minute and appreciate the range of programming they had on this network? When you're the home of 7th Heaven & Dawson's Creek AND Sister Sister & the Jamie Foxx Show I think that's pretty groundbreaking for the 90s

Payton from savannah was the redhead love /flirt interest in an older show of Mike Seaver in that show called Growing Pains.
The girl from unhappily ever after was very cute. There used to be many posters of her and that show in mid Manhattan circa 1995 when I was in college.
Sunday & Wednesday had very solid line ups...
Before the creation of the unusual (for some) EasyView pivot that saw The WB get a two-hour early jumpstart against ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC at *5:00 p.m.* Sundays; for me, it was amazing!
"Sunday Nights on WGN 9 Chicago."
which is dual with upn

Childhood memories 🙂
The opening lyrics to this jingle inspired the lyrics to one of the musical numbers in a Broadway comedy I wrote called "Mitchell and Woods", the song is called "Drop The Blade", where the pair chase after a teenage felon and confront him in a laneway. These are the opening lyrics to the song:
Hey did ya get the word
Or you never even heard
Of a facility they call juvie.
Well yo' crew already know
That juvie is where you will go
Unless yo' find yo'self some sanity.
So now yo' better freeze
And getcha self down on yo' knees
An' dontcha forget to drop the blade...
I can see it in his eyes
This walkin' bodybag o' lies
Usin' a knife to keep the law away.
But lemme tell him this.
His freedom he will surely miss
And for his crimes he's gonna really pay.
So now he better freeze.
And get himself down on his knees
And dont ya forget to drop the blade...

@Lynchez Wheeler The WB Still exists, they just Rebranded it to CW.
@@crazyeight_est.2019 This reply is late, but 2020s CW isn't even close to what 90s WB use to be.
This is when I was 13 now I'm 38. Everything on tv in the 90s was something else it was all binge watch quality nowadays it's all special effects and very dramatic acting sequences to get ratings nothing fun comes out of the tv anymore those days are gone I'm afraid 😢 like remember when Boy Meets World was on or Sister Sister or That's So Raven and so on and so on like Kids In The Hall and Saved By The Bell. If only I could borrow Stewies time machine just to watch the telly.
Back when TV was worth watching!!
Yep earything is so gay now yes isaid it
I know right when television was magical
Yes I searched for this video. It didn’t find me organically 😂
Any idiot knows that Steve Harvey, 7th Heaven, Jamie Foxx and Superman made their debuts in 1996 on the WB!
Harry Shoemaker what about batman?
Brady Anderson That didn't some until September 1997!
Harry Shoemaker the wb network without batman after its first creation can't be good enough, so batman and taz-mania still on fox is so old hat.
@@bradyanderson8654 Basically, Fox Kids still had Batman at the time.. even though Looney Tunes and most of the Steven Speildberg properties (animaniacs, Pinky Brain, etc.) had jumped ship to Kids wb in 1995.
But Batman's contract ran out in 1997 and the WWF.. I meant KWB snatched him up.... so there was now a LARGER void left on Fox Kids to where 1) the Marvel Animated Universe and Power Rangers had to carry most of the load and 2) MANY "cartoons" were created (many with shorter lineages compared to the steven speildberg and looney tunes franchises) to try to fill in the "cartoons" void.
Even though I like the "Generation Fox" era (1996-1999), It wasnt until the "Anime Invasion" started (2000) that Anime Shows finally came to better fit that void, but by then... the M.A.U.had died (with exception of Xmen reruns to promote the Hugh BadAss xmen films) and it was mainly Beast Machines, Power Rangers, and the Anime Invasion that was worthwhile. But that second and third paragraph, is at least just my opinion though...
Yeah but Steve Harvey and Jaime Foxx both dissed the WB. They're way more UPN.
Damn, it's so rare to see commercials and promos from this time in this kind of quality. Thanks for this, man.
DAVE CHAPPELLE BROUGHT ME HERE😭😭😭😭😭 I’m weeeakkkk🤣🤣🤣🤣

Dave Chappelle brought me here from Netflix... some crazy shit to see Dave Chapelle and then to see this commercial!

Tia and Tamera Mowry too!!!
I really missed the 90's. They had everything, and it was good.
WB channel was the shit back in the day
tiffany from unhappily ever after was actually my first real crush haha that explains a lot. awesome post. sept 13.
Mine too.
Literally the only WB shows I actually seen, Sister Sister and Animatics.
2:27 Animaniacs, not "Animatics" (you explained that the new 2020 reboot is now streaming on Hulu)
It's "The WB" not "WB". Secondly, "Animaniacs" should have been UPN, which was a truer Warner Bros. network unlike The WB, even though it was Paramount, but they acted more Warner Bros.ish than The WB. But they also had Warner Bros. blood way more. I'm gonna create a Warner Bros. network called WB. No "The" before it. Plus The WB tried to axe "Animaniac." It's not the only show they gave the short end of the stick. The Wayans bros. were not happy with The WB either. Seems like the Wayans got McDonald's while white people got civil food like fish and catering PFFT, at The WB. Yes I'm aware of what happened to "Half and Half" actresses on UPN, but that was rare and CBS, who owned UPN, was to blame. Another racist network like The WB. Trying to gentrify Warner Bros.. If The WB owned UPN at that time they would have done that crap.
Tia and Tamera are HOT!
@@robjackson5245 Oh, come now, Rob; McDonald's ain't bad catering. It's awesome!
